I went in for a simple trim. I HAD long hair and wanted 2 to 3 inches trimmed off the back with a simple frame around my face starting at my chin going down. A basic super-cut that I've had done dozens of times in other places. I showed her how much to cut. The woman cut off at least five inches - maybe six in the back. I think to hide the fact that she cut off way too much in back (or she was just that bad of a stylist) she left it two inches longer in front - a complete butchering of my hair. I'm usually not too fussy because it's straight and long - usually very difficult to mess up - until now. My hair is a disaster. I trimmed it myself to get the framing around my face this morning and I had to lose a good 2 inches to even it up with the back. I had long hair down my back - it's now above my shoulders. You can also check in online to save time on busy weekends. Today, I just walked in, Thursday afternoon, around 3pm, and was in the chair 7 minutes later. If i could give negative, I would. There were two hairdressers there. Both of them were short and were not able to communicate, maybe some simple English. I was somehow aligned with Pilar. She couldn't find me from her system and almost cut my hair based on my husband's last cut records. I was glad that I caught her first before she started cutting my hair. Anyway, she was not able to find me and created a new profile. Well, I wanted a messy Bob and she told me my layers were gone. That's the reasons I came in to have a trim or a cut. Then after half of the way, there were many people came in and she had t0 set them up. When she came back, she forgot what she did and decided to show me hwr finalized version. I told her to layered more on my back which I asked initially. The. I realized she has no sharp wash on her counter. There were two other pairs of scissors there. She just picked up one on the counter and started to cut more from my back of my head. Then I realized she has been using dirty scissors. Mann... I confronted her but she won't understand what I said. She kept saying, "i gave you layers, many layers" , sounded like a broken record. Anyway, I decided not to ask anymore, paid and left the shop. Terrible. Never go here! I asked for a light dusting to clean up side burns and even out back a little. I asked to take off no more than half an inch with scissors. The lady took out clippers and I told her to stop. She did the one side and said that is to short stop. She started the other side and was going shorter! I stood up and yelled for her to stop! Such horrible service. Went for a small 1"-1 1/2" trim. Stepan cut my hair. After he cut my hair & said he was done, it was so bad & I asked him to cut again so it was straight. He also cut my layers on only one side. So I asked for him to cut the other side to match them. He went back and cut the same side which I asked please cut the other side to match. He then cut the other side (right side in picture) by cutting a huge chunk out of my hair. He said he was done and handed me the mirror. I was upset by this point since I tried again to explain nothing is even and nothing matched. He tried to gaslight me saying it's all straight and I'm just too much in a hurry. I wasn't in a hurry & just wanted a trim and to have my hair straight. I finally asked the other stylists and she agreed it needed to be fixed. He denied it not being straight. I took my cape thingy off and said I'm going some place else. So upset I paid for such a horrid experience. I will be calling to get a refund. Now add on his hands reaked of cigarettes and made me want to vomit (no cleanliness at all) & he has no idea how to brush long hair (he would hit my head with the brush and drag down fast and pull the brush hard. My head would yank each time. I didn't say anything until he did the same with a comb and so hard I yelped and then asked him to stop. So he sprayed deranged and then stood almost in front of me and sprayed in my eye. Yesterday July 19th 2024, I received a shampoo and stacking bob cut by Josie. It was absolutely fantastic! I came in for a normal mid fade, the lady was older who butchered my hair. Took a buzzer to the top when I asked for scissors and to keep it really long. She didn't do that at all, basically buzzed the top of my head and now my hair is uneven and half buzzed half scissors on top. $25 for this, I will never come back here again. read more

My child needed a hair cut so we decided to head over to Great Clips. We had no wait..I guess we got lucky. The place was clean and they were very attentive. Someone greeted us as soon as we walked into the store. My son was able to converse with the stylist about what he was thinking about in terms of the style he had in mind. The haircut was quick and the stylist was polite and gentle with him. Overall, it took about 10 - 12 minutes for the cut. The place was empty while we were there. The folks there made sure the place was clean which is nice to see they are paying attention to cleanliness. You are required to wear a mask. There is ample parking in the lot and a Starbucks closeby if you need to get your coffee. Overall the place is good, clean and has decent prices. First off not everyone that works there is bad and everyone has great attitudes. There's a black woman who helped me so much with my hair growing process and better taking care of my curls and trims it and cleans up the sided AMAZINGLY. However she wasn't here that day and I thought, hey the staff is nice and I just want a trim why not. I tell the stylist I wanted 5 on the sides and a TRIM. She took off two inches of my hair on top and said "this looks better." So cool, my curls are now gone, the ones I've been working on getting more defined and voluminous for the past year because they stylist thought, "This looks better." I don't know what it is about great clips but the stylist there always wanna cut my hair they way they want to. I had very simple instructions number one sides and back do not blend in. Thinking she was only about half way down she starts blow drying my hair away and asks how I liked it. Normally they will pull up a mirror behind you andshow you their work I guess she wasn't confident and there was a huge dip on the left side of my head. I told her not to cut the top and as I said no she cut the top. I told her not to texturize and she did. I have a feeling the texture sheers is a technique to cover up mistakes. I didn't even mention a fade because I already knew better to ask for a fade. I really don't understand this was suppose to be a easy cut and she made it more difficult than it had to be. read more

Came here because I had a coupon and wanted to give this place a shot. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back. I provided a reference photo to the barber and described what I wanted. Fade on the side and some choppy texture with scissors up top. Nothing too complicated. In fact, I'd consider myself pretty easy going when it comes to haircuts... usually leaving some degree of freedom to the barber to do what they do best, because they're the experts after all. However, as you can see in the photo, this "fade" is just absolutely unacceptable by any standard. Wished o had caught it while I was there. She rushed me out of the chair pretty much, & I was a returning customer WOW! She had on an ugly black hat & had disgusting purple & blue hair that she was obviously upset with on her own head, and then ruined mines for no reason. DO NOT GO TO HER. She will DESTROY your hair. Fake personality & should not be working for Great Clips at all. She devalues the company, which I actually think is a great company. Anyways enough wasting times on wanna be barbers who obviously didn't learn ANYTHING in school. If she even attended any classes. I'm headed to a real stylist right now to fix what she messed up.
