My son Had an appt for 3 pm on a Sunday. Wasn't seen till 4pm. Told the stylist what he wanted, ok everything fine. Took forever for the stylist to come back just to be told, is it ok with you if you come back tomorrow at 1. Explained to the stylist that are appoint was 3, is not our fault that he wasn't seen till 4. We were then told, oh well that just means that you are signed IN at the time, it doesn't mean that you will be seen at that time. WTF. So then what's the point of calling in make an appointment? I came in today as a walk-in for a regular cut (trim). I only paid 37 dollars for exactly what I needed which is a great price imo. Martha was very professional and nice. She offered to rinse my hair before the cut to assure she could section my hair properly since I have so much hair. She also offered to take the time to blow dry my hair a bit after. She cut off the desired length perfectly and didn't overdo it at all. If you want an efficient cut for long hair ask for Martha! The music was a vibe too -felt relaxed. read more

ENOUGH WITH THE THINNING SHEARS!!! I've been coming here for years and I'm sorry to say I'll have to find a new place. 4 out 5 haircuts are great but then, out of nowhere, I'll get an overzealous stylist who sneaks in thinning shears before I can realize it. I have expressed on many occasions how bad this makes my hair look and have even gotten them to note in my profile for any future stylists to NOT use them when cutting my hair. I have no idea why so many stylists are foaming at the mouth to use these things. I have visibly VERY fine hair and there is no reason to ever think to use them on me. I am not picky at all about my haircuts but this is the one thing I ask they do not do. My hair is going to look like a dandy lion with mange for the next 3 months. It happened again today. When I realized what she was doing I asked her to stop and was met with strong resistance. She insisted it needed to be done to blend and texturize my hair and then attempted to continue cutting. I stopped her again and told her it does not work on my hair. She then said that's just because I need to wash my hair and use product... Yeah, sorry but I'm done. read more

Walked in yesterday to get my 10 y/o son's haircut. Angelica was the stylist. I explained to her that he has Autism/sensory issues and she did an amazing job making him feel comfortable, conversing with him and working with him the few times the vibrations from the trimmer were too intense for him. She gave him a fresh, clean traditional boys haircut and when we were finished he told her "I'd give this haircut a 5 out of 5 stars rating!" So, here we are. DON'T EVER GO HERE!!! I don't know what is going on in Burbank but I'm truly shocked! Back in the day this would have never happened nor would have it been tolerated. Talk about shifty, shady, dishonest, careless and unprofessional people. Let's make this one star minus 100! How does the SUPERCUTS company not have a clue of the bad customer service going on at this place. To let you know upfront, I'm looking into getting someones license revoked. They should shut this place down AGAIN and PERMENANTLY! I went in for a very simple and straight forward haircut. Short on the sides starting with a #1, blended to finger length at the top. A very common haircut. So I walk into this place and there were no customers there. The girl at the counter "Nina" had me sit down almost immediately, obviously because THERE WAS NO ONE THERE. She asked what I wanted and I explained it just as I always have several times before at various other places. As she was cutting my hair she seemed to be having trouble. I had to try to explain in better detail how I wanted the haircut and even still it didn't come out right. What should have been evenly blended around the sides from the bottom to the top was this lumpy uneven mess. At one point, she left the top looking like a mushroom and I had to again reexplain what was wrong with the haircut. Finally, I thought I had something close to at least a below average haircut, or so I thought. I paid the standard price plus I left a tip as I always do. As I was driving home I ran my hand down the back side of my head and felt a dip in my haircut. Can you guess what that dip was? That's right, it was a big fat gash in the back of my head that ran about 3-inches long by 1-inch wide where this incompetent ingoramus shaved my head bare down to the scalp. I thought this only happened on TV or in movies and there I was with this gaping spot in the back of my head. Thinking back as I was driving home I realized that she didn't show me the back of my head which is usually a common practice when you get your haircut and at that moment I realized why. She knew what she had done and still took my payment for the haircut plus the tip and let me walk out of that place looking the way I did. WHAT A THIEF! Talk about dishonest and cowardly. She obviously lacks class and integrity to the utmost degree. If I had butchered someones hair as she did to mine, I would have owned up to it, apologized to the customer, not charged them for the haircut and possibly offered a free haircut in the hopes the customer would be understanding. Did this happen? It sure didn't. We called later to give Supercuts a few words on what they had done. Nina answered and as we confronted her on her inappropriate, dishonest and unprofessional act she laughed as she handed the phone to her coworker. We finally managed to get the Manager on the other line talking to the person we were handed to and the Manager's response was "I don't have time, it's my day off". What a classy place this is not. So I say... CAUTION!!!! DON'T EVER GO HERE!!! EVER!!! Here's an interesting additional bit of information... I was looking over some of the other reviews and thought it was coincidental that there is one review "with 5 stars" by someone named Natalie. The manager at this Supercuts that said she doesn't have time to listen to my complaint is also named Natalie. Wondering if that great review by Natalie is the same person. Hmmm. read more

UPDATED-- I spoke with the manager, Lisa, after my horrendous experience with Ninva, and she confirmed that Ninva did NOT use the correct technique to trim my hair, said she was new and did not follow correct protocol for long hair. I mentioned she should not be on the floor if she's not prepared and could possibly ruin someone's hair. I went in today and Lisa was wonderful, saw the mess Ninva made to my hair and fixed it without having to cut too much more off and she apologized profusely, as one does... I'll definitely be seeing Lisa (or Iris) again. And what do you know... There was Ninva. No apology, nothing, NOTHING. If I did that to someone, I'd be mortified and wouldn't be able to say I'm sorry enough. That's all it would have taken and would have gone a long way - big lesson she needs to learn, if you F'up OWN IT and apologize. I took a star off because the website stated their was a 5 minute wait and I checked in with an expected reservation time which they were unable to meet since other clients were waiting. One of the most bizarre and terrible experiences of my entire life. I didn't catch the stylist's name because my haircut lasted all of 10 minutes. This stylist did not listen to what I wanted done and made decisions all on her own. She cut my hair the way she thought was appropriate for a "feminine" haircut and made strange comments about women who ask for more traditionally "masculine" cuts. I was almost glad I wasn't able to get a word in edgewise about what I wanted because she probably would have said something offensive. Somehow that wasn't the worst part - it was how touchy and in-my-face she was. She patted my back like we were lifelong friends about 30 seconds after I walked in. And during the haircut, she kept leaning down close to my face and whispering things in my ear. The whole thing felt like a fever dream. Needless to say, I was super uncomfortable and couldn't wait to leave. The other stylists here might be fantastic, but I will never know, because I will not be coming back! read more
