Awful. Paid $51 for shampoo and blow dry- NO haircut. Stylist practically pulled all the hair out of my had even though I repeatedly begged her to stop hurting me. Ripped the ends of my hair with her comb. Put in a part I asked her several times to avoid. I left with frizzy damaged hair and a painful scalp in tears. I'll never go back there. Don't believe what they say about wait times. Son and I came in, were told only one customer was ahead of us. Then a flood of 5+ others were seated ahead of us. Management's goal is to keep you waiting so long you don't leave because you've already invested too much time. This place makes getting a haircut pretty fun! I love all the workers there and their hours fit my schedule pretty nicely. About once a month I'll go there after work and I've never had a problem. The wait times are never long. If you are hungry there's a Five Guys next door too that I sometimes take advantage of. I personally prefer Jenny to cut my hair cause she gives nice cuts and I can talk to her all day. Shes great. They are all pretty good though. Just left great clips. Advise for any guy who needs a fade. Do not get your haircut by (IRINA) she is caucasian older women with glasses. I asked for a 0 medium fade. She gave me a high fade and my fade was very patchy on one side. She asked me how it looked i told her the fade was too high and asked her to blend and fix the patches on one side of my head. She tried and only made it worse. I told her to just leave it alone ill fix it when i get home. When we were finished she didnt even show me how my hair looked like on the back of my head i had hair all over my face, kneck, ears, cheeks, fore head. She didnt even wipe or clean the hair of my face like they always do during and after they are finished cutting your hair. Even one of the ladies who works there noticed how much hair i had all over my face and was kind enough to give me a tissue to wipe my face down. I even paid for it, which i wish i shouldnt have but of course i felt bad. Cant really say how she does with womens haircuts but GUYS, i would stay away from her. read more

The salon is very clean, the staff is very friendly and professional, and Le gives excellent haircuts (both me and my wife have her cut our hair)...if that was not enough the price is quite affordable. Since the salon is newly built, they have grand opening special rates for hair cuts, which are an awesome deal (around $12, regularly $16). Oh, and there is plenty of free parking! Went yesterday with my boys and the two ladies who gave them haircuts didn't do a great job. A kid cut really isn't that elaborate. Buzzer on side and back, and leaving it longer on top. But these two employees didn't seem to master even the most elementary haircutting techniques. One was butchering my kid's side while the other seemed to be pruning a bush one handedly. Had to ask the manager to rescue one of the haircuts. And this morning, it doesn't look as good as on the past. I think the manager is good. But, please hire people with skills! read more

I've been going to Great Clips in San Mateo for the last few years on the advice of a friend and found a stylist who I really liked. I received a coupon in the mail for the new location in Burlingame and felt a little guilty going but figured I'd give it a shot. Lucky for me my stylist, Le, has moved to the new location which is great. It's all new, very clean, the staff are very friendly and welcoming; and you're in and out of there in a flash. Discounts or not, the price is very reasonable for the great service you get. And even when it's crowded you're sure to get acknowledged the minute you walk through the door and will know that you won't have to wait too long. And I would be remiss in not giving another special nod to Le who is the best! read more

The people who worked there hardly spoke a word of english, and my hair was carelessly buzzed, and even if I wanted that (which I didn't) it was completely uneven and I will NOT go back to that place, nor do I recommend it. We had a TERRIBLE experience here today. I brought my two daughters in for the first time for very simple haircuts: straight hair, cut it even all around, one inch off. I was very specific. Both of their heads are now uneven....and in random places. They didn't wet the hair enough to make sure they were cutting it even. Their mistakes are not fixable without taking another inch off my girls' hair length. Disaster....will NEVER go back! read more

Absolute crap, they can't get a simple cut done cleanly and can't follow basic instructions. I've seen a young woman almost cry, and I've had to tell them over and over how to cut my hair despite them telling me they put the instructions in the computer. Every time I start by telling them not to pull the front of my hair forward to cut it, and they immediately pull it forward and start cutting. The fade on the side is always wavy, there's always missed hairs around the ears, they often cut my sideburns short and at a stupid angle without asking. I finally got sick of bad haircuts and grew it out, deciding to change my style to something a little more simple: # 2 on the sides, no fade, don't take much off the top. NO FADE. She cuts the right side, it's going good, and starts to fade the left side. WTF! I tell her I want it the same as the right, she says she will, and continues to fade it. Then she cuts the top hair on the right side to start fading it! Then asks how it is.... ahhh a little late. It's all wavy lengths on the left, a big chunk on the left front edge that's not on the right, and she wants to call it done. I tell her I want it the same as the right, no fade, and she still tries to fade it and I then gave up and said never mind, it's too late you messed it up. She then panicked and went for help. The other woman kinda fixed it but it's too late - the sides are faded too far up. My hair is screwed (f-ed) up, I look like a dork. After about 3 years, I've seen enough and am never going back. This is the by far the worst place to get a haircut. I had to go to another place and fix my haircut. The guy messed up so bad that I have a big bold spot on the back of my head ( lower part). I am still wondering how this happened. I would understand if it is uneven but a bold spot!!!!! The guy is so incompetent that my side burns are uneven bu more than an inch. Le did my haircut and really can't complain at all. I rarely get cuts (1 in 4 months) but the way Le did it has me getting compliments nonstop and makes me want to keep it this way.
