Bad haircut, really horrible customer service (got my face sprayed with water multiple times, super rough combing, just really bad presence/vibe), and just not really recommended. I understand that apps are not entirely accurate but it was just the cherry on top. I've recently started coming back to Great Clips in Downey and I do appreciate the convenience of their online check-in system, it's super helpful. I also liked their March Madness promotion, which was a nice bonus. That said, while the haircut itself is still very quick, I've noticed that it sometimes feels a little too rushed, even when it's not busy. The stylist seemed to be in a hurry and unfortunately, I was left with leftover hair on my forehead, neck, the back of my head and some areas weren't shaved cleanly after the cut. It was uncomfortable walking out like that, and I'm not sure if they expect customers to pay extra just to get brushed off properly, which feels odd. I like the convenience, but a bit more attention to detail and customer care would make a big difference. Great spot! Did a walk in and it was easy to sign in and get on the waitlist for my kiddos haircut. We only waited about 15 minutes on a Saturday. The staff were friendly and the price was very affordable! My kiddo had an easy cut experience too! read more

I love coming to Great Clips, way better than most salons for a haircut. I appreciate their check in system, they are always accurate and on time with the check ins. Not like most places that over book and have you waiting. My daughter wanted a unique haircut which I was hesitant to get her but the stylist talked to her about and the process and confirmed with my daughter that it's what she wanted and she nailed it, it came out perfect, my daughter was so happy we came back a second time to get it trimmed by the stylist. I got a hair cut here recently and was disappointed by the service. A young lady with green hair and nails attended me. I didn't have to wait for my haircut which was great, though I did reserve online. However, her nails were so long that when she would sift my hair and touch my face her nails would scratch my skin on my face. I didn't say anything about this. But for certain industries it is pretty unprofessional to have such long nails. Also, she wet my hair with water and did not even bother to fully dry my hair. Lazy and unprofessional. I liked my experience here. I went on Veterans Day- so the cut was free. However, they were efficient, solid and very affordable from what I saw. They only take online checkin. Don't bother going if you don't do this- and you can only checkin 5 mins after they open at the earliest. All locations are different so I'm not sure if it's consistent. My husband was here yesterday for a hair cut and I was shocked to see his hair and neck when he got home. First thing I noticed from the front was how uneven his hair was and how short it was from the back of his neck. It almost seemed as if they messed up and tried to keep cutting until it was even. Then I noticed how red the back of his neck was. I removed the hair that was all over and noticed marks. He said the lady that cut his hair apologized for hurting him once but he had around 8 burns/cuts on his neck. This was so bad!!! He was even bleeding from one of them. He didn't feel the other cuts/burns she made until he got home and I cleaned it. On the picture you can tell where his hair line around his entire head usually is and she cut so much more than that. I left my number to speak to the manager since she/ he wasn't there. This is really bad and I'm not sure how much experience Christin has but I don't recommend her. Definitely would rather pay $60 for a decent haircut then $15 for a sloppy job. As usual, they didn't listen to what I wanted but instead what they want. I Only wanted my ends to be cut to minimum and she assured me "only the tips and minimum " even showed me how much she was going to cut.. well at the end she said I took all the ends off and I came home to more then one and half inches off and one side was shorter then the other. I wear clip in extensions so now I can't due to how awful the cut is.. my friend and I will definitely not return. Nor I will recommend this place. Don't want my money back.
