My sister and I were having difficultly getting her hair cut Everytime we went to a salon they wouldn't deliver a cut that was anywhere close to what my sister wanted. She's a simple person to please but they always gave her a pixie cut that didn't suit her at all. This should be a 3, possibly 4 star rating, but the line queue experience for 9:00 am first customers is horrendous due to the check-in app. It is disabled prior to 9 am, but if you wait outside the door you ALSO need to brush up your online auction-type sniping skills on the check-in app or you will find your name way down on the list. Will you get lucky? For 2 years I've been an early customer and seen this happen. Generally the customers themselves sort out the fairness issue, but the employees stick to strict policy - in my case that means my son finished his haircut but I would have had to make him (and I) wait another 30+ minutes to get mine. It's policy but it felt very personal today since the stylist who cut his hair was obviously available and also another stylist who I had offered up my place to a her last customer (my ethics - he was before me, and did use the app, but didn't realize he had to check-in also) was also available. They knew we had waited outside since opening and actually had to spend extra time at the terminal to remove my name from the pending transaction rather than doing the right thing. Corporate can fix issue by simply opening the app for reservations 30 minutes before the store opens. I can't imagine it is a great working environment having to enforce unfair rules on your customers on busy opening mornings. Like any franchise, they probably reprimand staff that make common sense customer service decisions on their own initiative. Some good from this final experience for me, though...it's time for me to stop being lazy and find a quality local owned business. I suggest you do the same. read more

The girl who cut my hair (twice now) Roxy, does such an awesome job, it gave me a new appreciation for haircuts! Typically I would be nervous to go get a haircut just before an event, as it seems I always end up looking like I just got a haircut (which in my case means your hair sticks up, or curls in random spots). Well, I dont know what she does differently, but whatever it is, she gave me the perfect haircut from the time I got out of the chair! I'd even trust her to cut it the day of an event! We took advantage of the $7.99 promotion last month and the guys were in and out in a flash. The Great Clips In Folsom is in a nice, safe, clean marketplace. This marketplace has businesses, grocery, coffee, etc. and across from shopping so there are other places to go while you wait for your man or kids etc. Watch out though because the hairstylists work so fast on males you may not even make it anywhere besides the CVS (located near it). Great Clips has easy parking too. The haircuts look good, we're quick, and $7.99 plus tip. Can't beat it! read more

We have been going to this place for over 5 years, asked for a trim on the side and the back and don't touch the top (couldn't make it more clear) .Once she finished it looked like I had a 5 on my hair looked really bad the top went down to my eyebrow, old hair went down to my chin. When we lived in Napa, I took my son to Great Clips for his hair cuts. We recently moved to Folsom and I took my son to this location for the first time. The hair stylist took him immediately with no wait (love, love, love being able to check in online!). The details of his past haircuts in Napa were in the computer which is so helpful. We can never remember which number was used before so thank you Great Clips for using technology to help your customers get in quick and get the haircut they always loved. read more

Brought the kids in for a walk-in haircut and it was about a 15-20 minute wait. Rebecca and Angelina were patient with the kids and did a nice job. Cost was $12 per kid, better price than the other "kid haircut" place of $18 per kid. We brought our own lollipop and the kids had a great time. I know kid haircut places have the suckers, cartoons and toys... but I'm not into that. Just want to get in and get out. read more

I came in for a trim thank goodness I only did a trim because my hair is soo uneven it's significantly shorter then the other side and the girl tried to play it off and say they were even. I have thick curly hair and the gal who cut my hair only combed out my hair that she was about to cut off. When she combed my hair she was saying I had lots of hair and that it's gonna take awhile I was patient with the girl but she only combed out 2 inches of the bottom of my hair. She also didn't wet my hair at all she combed it dry and cut it dry. When she cut my hair she showed just chopped the bottom section and it only took her 3 mins to cut my hair. Typically when I get a trim the stylist always Sections out my hair and cuts off even amounts in my hair , but But no she just cut the bottom. Then I asked her to reframe my face . Bad choice because I asked for it kinda long but right above me shoulder and she did that on one side for me but on the other side she cut at above my chin! I was in the waiting area longer than my actual hair cut. I was only in the chair for about 7 mins. I don't recommend this location they were just trying to rush and fit as many people as they could. If I could rate this 0 stars I would. She ruined my hair ! read more

Wanted to go somewhere cheap because I just needed a trim (trying to grow my hair out). Decided to try it out, and glad I did! Amanda cut my hair and I was in and out in about 10 minutes, which I love because I hate staying in a salon forever (who really needs their hair washed and styled when you could do that at home?) She trimmed my layers and everything and it just feels nice now. She only cut off about 3/4 inch which is a whole lot less than past stylists I've had. Will definitely be coming back when I need another trim. read more

Asked for a short angled bob and what I got was a complete disaster. I came back (which was a horrible idea) for a fix the next day. Trish? Asian girl rushed the original haircut just a couple random snips and she seemed to be done. Meanwhile the lady next to her was still on her customer for a full 40+ mins even after I was done. Anyways I didn't realize how horrible my hair looked until after I straightened it because I always wear it straight. So I went back the next day and Miranda cut it even shorter with even more random horrid layers which I did not ask for. Of course I didn't realize until after I straightened it at home because they rush the whole process. I asked for straight angled bob and all she did was nod like "okay". Literally cried myself to sleep because this was the last straw of me ever walking in this establishment again. I don't even think having my money back could spare my hair. read more
