After a self-botched haircut in my bathroom, I decided that Labor Day was great day to get my hair corrected. Every place I called was either closed or full, except for Supercuts!! I believe my hairdresser was named Elicia(sp?). She was so friendly and incredibly collaborative with my desired hair cut, asking questions and pointed out features I didn't even think of for the desired outcome. She gently washed my hair and was conscientious with the cut; she did a wonderful job!! She then advised me on how to style my hair and what product to use. What a wealth of knowledge! I don't think I was there for longer than an hour, and I paid $42 for a wash and a cut. Thank you, Supercuts!!! read more

I forgot to do this earlier, but I got my haircut here the other day and the girl who did it was really nice and funny. Very easy to vibe with the staff. I asked for a shag mullet, wolf cut kinda style. She did such a good job. My hair looks so pretty and healthy and my curls are really popping off since it's been cut. I finally feel confident wearing my hair down without doing hardly anything to it. [The person monitoring this location has requested details. Here you go.] I have visited this Supercuts location (Folsom, 900 E Bidwell) for over 4 years. Had good results. But something significant has changed over the last 3 months. Today I walked out. Arrived early for my appointment today. The receptionist greated me, was glad I was early. 'It will be just a minute' she said. At that moment a stylist and a friend(?) came to the counter while I took a seat. Apparently a very important, time critical discussion started between the friend, stylist, and receptionist. As the discussion continued it became clear I was not a priority. If I ever was. The conversation was the priority. So I left. Yes, I could have approached the conversation and requested service. But here is the thing. It is not my responsibility to remind a receptionist and stylist to do their job. Or tell them of their poor service. Nothing good would have come from that had I done so. Instead I likely would have been labeled an unreasonable customer. A bit of advice for the receptionist. Never, ever promise a customer something without an intention to deliver. Do everything you can to deliver. People will be polite if you apologize. But you will never know what they are truly thinking. What they will tell family and friends. Especially as we enter into the holiday season. Let me be clear. I am NOT saying a receptionist must be perfect. But they must always, always always strive to achieve perfection. Honestly simply try your absolute best your entire shift. Previously, at other locations, I have waited much longer than today. I did so because the location was getting slammed. Everyone was working as fast and professionally as they could. I get such situations as I have worked in a customer service position. What I don't get is why there should be any wait at all in today's situation. read more

I went for the very first time in my life this weekend. I said it needed at least an inch cut off and let me know if they thought it needed more. It was still damp when they were done so I tossed it back up in my bun (It's not like they spin you around to look at how they did so didn't notice there) When I got home I was horrified to see I was missing four inches of hair at least. I don't understand how an inch gets miscommunication to over four inches but I can't believe it. I have been growing it out forever since my last lapse in judgement to cut it shorter and now I'm back to square one. read more

Just average I have tried this location twice since I work near it. The haircuts have been decent but lack the attention to detail of better places. I have a pretty easy cut and it still took a while longer than it should to get the details of what I wanted across to the stylists. Luckily for me I have hit it at good times and not had to wait. But by the time I left both visits it was packing up and they don't have many stylist working, so you better check the line or you could be there a while. I think this place is good enough for a quick cut if you have a simple hairstyle but not my first choice of shops. read more

Expensive salon quality haircuts for an affordable price!! Olga has been cutting my hair for years and always gives me exactly what I ask for and even offers advice for what would look best on me. I have thick long hair that is often hard to manage and style but she always nails it! She treats her customers like family and even stayed well past her shift to fit me in once. She manages a great team and offers a welcoming and warm environment. I think all ladies can agree that it's a pain to go to expensive salons and pay $40+ for a decent haircut but I highly recommend visiting Olga for an affordable and top quality cut! read more

This was my first visit to this Supercuts location. Irina cut my hair and did a fabulous job! I have very thick hair, and before starting the cut Irina asked me how I wanted my hair styled, and then was astute enough to know I wanted a scissor cut and not a clipper cut. Irina also kept my hair on the longer side as I requested. After seeing what a great job she did on the first pass, I decided to have her take some more off. Irina agreed that it was the right decision and she proceeded to take a little more off all while cleaning up some of the rough spots that I had from a previous haircut. I ended up with a fantastic summer cut. Thank you, Irina! Plus my wife liked the cut so that always helps too. Even though I live in South Lake Tahoe, I will be back to see Irina. I had very bad experience this time when I brought my 4.5 yrs daughter for her haircut. I did bring her to this location before and she was very happy with the hairdresser she was super nice, so she expected the same this time too but the guy who cut her hair was rude. He told my daughter " don't move or else your hair will be messed up" I am pretty sure there is nice way to say esp to the kid. My daughter had a super long and she wanted it short so thought why not donate the hair, but the guy did not seem to care at all. I know they cut your hair and send it to "luck of love" for donation as I do it every two years in this location but after having the hair cut the guy just vanished, he did not even ask if we like the haircut or see any uneven hair. Came home and see that the hair was uneven and it was bad . I will never ever have him as a hairdresser if I come for haircut here in this location. VERY RUDE. read more

Went in during their first weekend back after the closures...The staff was great, they were handling safety and showed concern for customers and staff. I have always had good results at Supercuts, until today. I brought in my 11 year old for a trim. We asked for an inch off the bottom and they cut 3 inches off. They also initially said it would cost 43 dollars since we wanted her to be shampooed and to have hair dried. He decided to skip the blow dry and paid 21 dollar and just deal with the wet hair. In addition my daughter felt they were mean to her and not at all friendly. I didn't see any of the staff smile at all and the young lady who cut my daughter's hair seemed unable to answer any questions I had shortly before my daughter's cut. Took my daughter here who has long hair and she is kind of nervous to get her haircut. The lady cutting her hair was very rude and rough. She did not talk to my daughter or try to make her feel comfortable. She was annoyed that my daughter had long hair and that she had to comb it. She acted angry. She yanked on it hard as she brushed it, I felt sorry for my daughter. I ended up combing it. I thought about getting up and us just leaving. Worst experience. Lady barely responded when I spoke and would not make eye contact with me and never smiled, not once. My daughter's hair is is obviously crooked, too. I will go to a real salon next time. read more

I honestly don't understand how this place has so many good reviews. I based my visit tonight on those reviews and regret it. I called ahead at 6:56 to get my two boys on the wait list, and they said they were having a 30-40 minute wait. I asked when I should show up, and Jonathan said around 7:30. I understand it's not an appointment, so I wasn't surprised when I got there at 7:30 and he said there were 3 people ahead of us. Not thrilled, but I rolled with it. 30 minutes later (now 8:00, closing time) there have been at least 6 people ahead of me, another person who called ahead before me has left without his cut, and they call someone else up who came in after me. My kids are too young to be staying up waiting for a business to learn how to run their show--we left with no haircuts, lots of frustration, and time we can never get back. The owner of this location needs to figure out their system and train the employees. It is a train wreck in there. Don't bother unless you like being treated as second rate and have plenty of time to kill! read more

I'd like to say that they're better than any other place, but they're just average. The supercuts in Rancho or Arden is better. The wait it always like 15 minutes and they don't always have the same cosmetologists which makes it hard to get a consistent haircut. Also, this place doesn't keep track of the types of cuts you request so you really have to watch that they don't overdo it and give you the barerschool cut. read more

The staff here are mostly very friendly and personable and , oh yeah, they do a good job cutting hair. They do not just stick with the basics. They trim eyebrows and mustaches at no extra cost. They also apply a warm towel to the back of your neck after the cut. They are better than other Supercuts I have been to. During baseball season, since they are Sacramento River Cats sponsors, they give out vouchers to be used at any game. read more
