One thing I like about this location is that the wait times are not ridiculous.  The online check-in is handy to know when I should head to the store and the most I've ever had to wait inside was around 10 minutes.  The stylists are really hit or miss, but I have good luck around 75% of the time.  They don't push too hard on purchasing product which is what I appreciate.  No thanks, I'll buy this online for a little cheaper. The coupons are also really good.  I used to be able to use these a day or two late, but they have cut down on the recently.  Still a solid place to get a reasonable hair cut. read more

I showed up here, first customer of the day. Apparently they have a 'check-in online' thing and there were three people in front of me already, which is pretty crap, but whatever - I guess regular customers know about this, and so sure - I get giving them priority. Anyway, one of the online-checkin people showed up right after me, so they got to go first, and then we waited around for about 5 minutes while the other haircutter people got things going. I took my 2-year old, and Tiffany propped him up on a booster cushion and got to work. When you go to a place like this, they always ask you "How do you want it cut?" Man - if I knew how I wanted it cut I'd be at my professional stylist, not Great Clips. Just make it look good! She took care of us - nice even cut considering a wiggly 2-year old, and we were in and out of there in 15 minutes. The joint seems clean, modern, and people were generally pleasant. They were having some kind of $8 haircut sale or something, so even after a tip it was pretty damn cheap. If it's convenient in the future, I'll consider going back. Seems like a pain in the ass to have to check-in online in order to not have a bunch of people cut in front of me, otherwise I'd probably have gone with 4-stars, but whatever - I get it. read more

I understand what to expect when I take my son to a place like this. He's a kid, needs something fast and to be presentable; I know it won't be salon-quality. It was my second time here. I wanted my son's hair cleaned up on the sides and to scissor-cut the top, blending it all together. When Stacey thought she was done with the cut and asked what I thought, I showed her the lines from the choppiness of the clippers and asked to have it blended better. She tried; however, this was the end result. I pointed out the largely problematic area on top, how it wasn't blended, and she said it "looks perfect to [her]." That is precisely the problem. I decided to leave and take on the inconvenience of have to come back to have it fixed. It needs to be a presentable cut with actual blending/attention to detail. Before I was done checking out, she started consulting with her Avon lady, ignoring me. The other customers present at the time could not believe the lack of quality and professionalism. I will be calling management to make them aware. I have heard (and saw) good things about Ashley at this location. I am hoping I can find the time to take my son back in and have her fix Stacey's doing because this is highly disappointing. read more

I have gone here every month for my haircut for the past 5+ years. As with any salon, it all depends on who you get, but once you find someone you like you don't let them go! For me that is Jen. She has run this location for a long time and is truly a great stylist. I can honestly say I have never gotten a bad cut from her and I know that I'm not alone. Every time I come in I either hear a call from someone asking her hours or there are people in front of me waiting for her (even though it would be much faster to use someone else). I am sure there are other very talented stylists here but you don't mess with success. As for the place, it's very nice. Clean, friendly, and efficient. I looks as you expect a well run salon chain to look. Prices are competitive ($14 for a cut) to the market, especially if you take advantage of their deal Nov-Christmas when you can buy a pre-paid card for up to 12 cuts at $9.95. read more

Great clips is an inexpensive little hair cut place that we go to for quick cuts. We usually see whomever is available but have had an awful run in with the manager Jennifer. We were there last week and she was clearly frustrated and miserable. She rolled her eyes and was just snarky with me. I've seen this many times before with her and another customer even mentioned she didn't like her attitude. She ruins the "vibe". will not be returning. read more

Terrible. Saw the haircuts of the people leaving wouldn't take anyone here. The old ladies weren't able to deal with technology of checking someone In, there's no way they can keep up with today's styles. I can't remember the last time I felt so good about a hair cut and she was super friendly, not excessively friendly, just the right amount of friendly. Worst experience ever! First and foremost, we checked in online, and we were first on the list, but they called a person behind us. After that, they randomly took a whole family that walked in after us. They never asked who we were or if we checked in, or anything for that matter. Extremely rude and disrespectful! Actually this place had a bad rep from my family at first and then I needed an emergency haircut I got from Dolce on a Friday night. I paid 80 bucks for the hair cut from an experienced stylist and she tore my hair up. I went to this great clips just to get the bangs even just for the weekend. I found a young boy there and right away he was upfront and told me that he would love to fix my hair. I was hesitant at first because I usually never go to great clips or such franchises, but he was so confidant I had to give him a chance. The young man showed me where my cut was wrong and I was super surprised at how knowledgeable he was at hair styling. My hairI is not the easiest type of hair to manage. He took his time contrary to what they usually do with my kids hair. He told me exactly what he was doing while cutting my hair and told me why he was cutting the pieces he was cutting. He gave me one of the best blow dry styles I've ever had. I had no Idea my hair could look like that. He was also generous enough to texture my or after and check for any loose ends or stray hairs. I tipped the girl at Dolce 20 bucks so I thought Isaac deserved more. The total cut with style was about 30 bucks and Isaac did the best shampoo of my life! I gave him a 50$ tip and it was so worth it. There are those secret treasure you can find and I promise you Isaac is one of them. I so happy with my hair that I'm actually taking time to write a review lol. I'm not vouching for great clips because it's mostly a place for my kids to get a buzz before school but if you need a talented young man excellent hands go to the great clips at desert foothills and chandler blvd. Used their app which showed zero minutes. I checked in and was there in 5 minutes. 2 people were waiting and one stylist, she told me the other stylist had to run errands, I waited a while but the only stylist was cutting someone's hair while talking to someone just sitting in the chair next to her. She was also answering phones checking people in, talking to other person and cutting hair. Not worth the risk, they need supervision badly, who would let 50% of their staff leave right after school is let out. Two stars, I like the app just wish it was true. read more

I got the WORST haircut of my life here. The Asian woman needs to be fired ASAP. She took way to much of my hair off and they don't even blow dry it all the way and it's 16$!! It's a ridiculous price for something so bad. If your a man it's the place to go but women be warned go someplace else for a nicer better haircut! It'll be worth the price.
