1/2 Rosemary Parmesan ciabatta sandwich (bread). Delicious in a sandwich or on its own.

So good! I was tasked with the food for my sister's wedding reception. She wanted finger sandwiches among other things. I found a local deli that I was going to have cater but thankfully it didn't work out. I decided to cater myself and I knew the bread was the secret to the sandwich. After some research I found I could get Stone Ground direct thru their local store (versus frozen thru my contracted food distributor). We wanted ciabatta rolls for an elevated touch and found their rosemary Parmesan ciabatta rolls. They were so flavorful, fresh and the perfect bun for our sandwiches(or on their own). I'm so glad I found them direct and will use their rolls and bread from now on. Their store isn't the fanciest but the minute you walk in the door the best smells ever will hit you...fresh baked bread. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have several kinds of bread, rolls and specialty items (cinnamon rolls) to choose from. The store front isn't the most convenient but it'll be worth the drive.

Wow!! Best bread in Utah! You can find it in most sandwich shops around slc area but they are also open to the public.

Love this place! Best ciabatta bread you'll find anywhere. If you like baked goods, this place is a must! Staff is always so friendly and helpful! If you haven't purchased from them before, you don't know what you're missing!

Homemade veggie sandwich on stone ground marbled rye. Def restaurant quality for the home cook!

I love the rustic sourdough, it's the same bread you see stacked at Market Street Grill in the morning.

Their burritos and fries are my go-to favorites. The burritos are just top-notch, but I have a soft spot for their fries -- it's kind of an inside joke for me. Whenever I go out to eat with people, they always say, "Well, I know what El is having," because I always get fries with my food. But theirs are surprisingly amazing. Fries are usually just "fine" or "good," but theirs? They're very good. The owner is incredibly kind, and their baked goods are fantastic -- especially the peanut butter brownie, which I can't recommend enough. Their soft serve is also really good, and I'm excited to try some of their candy next time. I even took a non-vegan friend there, and he really enjoyed the food. Beyond the food, the team is so nice, and they have a little vegan market with some really cool products. I bought about half a pound of vegan bacon from them, and now I'm making all kinds of breakfast sandwiches at home. If you're in the area, whether you're vegan or not, Sweet Hazel is a must-visit. And if you can't stop by in person, their partner company Break Free Candy ships their sweets, which is awesome. Seriously, if you order anything from the menu, make it the peanut butter brownie. It's life-changing -- and I say that as a huge brownie lover.

There are so many great options on the menu, just like any diner you'll find in the world but you can eat with a conscience. This restaurant is truly terrific! I love the cool vibes on the inside and the seating arrangement! They have mocktails, cocktails, beer and just tons of amazing food! We had the pizza, fries, mashed potatoes, and everything was delicious! The service was top notch and I definitely would suggest that if you are in Utah, go to visit Vertical Diner! I only posted a few pics of the menu but it is extensive!

A Place That Fails on Every Level, Safety, Integrity, and Basic Care…read more I've eaten here multiple times and every visit left me, my friends and family feeling physically ill. Why? Because they use cheap low quality canola oil and it shows both on the palate and in the body. But the deeper issue isn't just what's in the food. It's what's rotting beneath the surface. A close friend of mine Brittney (17 and under age in this experience) reached out to the owner to explore a collaborative business opportunity. Instead of professionalism she was met with a shocking invitation to hot tub together. Completely inappropriate and wildly unprofessional. Even more disturbing are the longstanding sexual allegations against kitchen staff he's kept on for years. Employees are routinely fired often for things they didn't do while the owner claims surveillance cameras prove it. Yet those cameras never seem to catch actual wrongdoing. Convenient isn't it. Meanwhile he creates a culture of fear instability and dismissal. People are disposable. Boundaries are not respected whether in the kitchen or in conversation. This isn't just a bad dining experience. This is a pattern of neglect abuse of power and willful ignorance. I urge you support businesses that respect people, employees, customers and community. This is not one of them.

When I arrived, it seemed like the kitchen was understaffed. The person at the front was doing his best to take orders and cook at the same time, which I respect, but it did mean a long wait for food. Another table that ordered after me was served first, and when my food finally arrived, the biscuits were unfortunately very undercooked--pretty raw in the middle. I was starving, so I ate them anyway rather than wait even longer, but it was disappointing. The vegan cookie I got wasn't very good either--kind of dry and bland--but again, I ate it because I was really hungry. The biggest issue, though, was the group of five people loudly rehearsing a play at full volume right in the middle of the restaurant. I totally respect the arts and love that people are creating things--but the entire time, they were projecting their lines as loudly as possible. It was impossible to read or relax. I was quietly working on finalizing the publication of my novella, and even though I was doing something creative too, I managed to do it respectfully and silently from my seat. I really think a different venue--or at the very least, a lower volume--would have made a big difference for everyone else there. That said, I'd still be willing to give this place another shot. The food has a lot of potential, and I think with a little more structure and a quieter atmosphere, it could be a great spot.
