First off, it sucked that their delivery route changed and they couldn't deliver to us. We drove and picked up their food anyway. Their orange chicken was okay because it was engulfed in dough it seemed. The beef and broccoli needed favor and the beef was chewy and tasteless. The fried rice was ok. We also ordered the sampler. Quick delivery, no chopsticks, no fortune cookie, mysterious chicken wing We called for a delivery onto Fort Hood, and they delivered very promptly. They have a website where you can find a menu (without prices), that came out to be reasonable; I checked the receipt when I received my order. The food itself was particularly bland and did not meet my expectation of Chinese food. I ordered the sweet and sour pork (comparable to chinese places like Panda Express). My colleagues had hunan beef, chicken lo main, and house lo main. They gave much more lo main than we could eat individually! We expected there to be fortune cookies and chopsticks, but the deliverer did not include these. However, in the small bag of fried strips, they included ONE chicken wing. We suspected this to be a mistake because no one ordered chicken wings. Chinese chicken wing... kind of weird. Nobody ate it. read more

We have been enjoying food here for the last couple of years and have never had a complaint. They give large portions for a very reasonable price and the food is delicious. Our very last visit was better than ever! We placed our order over the phone with ease and arranged for takeout. They have very speedy preparation times which is also a plus. The fried rice was tasty and it contained a good ratio of meat, seasonings and vegetables per serving of rice. The fried chicken wings were extremely delicious. They have that perfect garlicky pepper flavor and a nice crispness but not dry at all. The General Tso's chicken was nicely done having a sweet and tangy sauce with an acceptable level of spice. The broccoli side was fresh as well. The Pho was amazing. They give very generous portions of meat, vegetables, and noodles in a nicely flavored broth. All of the food here was very delicious and hit the spot perfectly for that Chinese takeout craving. We will definitely be ordering again soon! read more

We ate at the Great Wall Cafe for lunch on a Sunday. We took advantage of the lunch specials (soup, 1 chicken wing, spring roll, entree and rice or lo mein for $5-6) and ordered chicken and broccoli, Mongolian beef, and a lo mien entree. Everything was very good and the lo mien was our favorite. The bill was $21 including a drink. Service was good and we will be returning again. My wife and I have ordered take out on several occasions and we could not find anything to complain about. read more

I just moved to Killeen and I have got to say. Out of all the cities I have lived in and been to (quite a few) this Chinese place is in my top 3 best ever. Everything was so fresh. They had a Dinner special with a main dish with an additional side item and I ordered the General Tso with shrimp fried rice. The shrimp were plentiful, the rice was cooked to perfection and the chicken was on point!! There was the perfect amount of sauce, heat and crisp. This WILL be my go to place for Chinese. This is the only place where we get Chinese food delivered. I'm from NYC and I've had my share of Chinese takeouts and deliveries and I think this place is pretty good. Of course u can't compare it to the expensive Chinese restaurants that make Xiaolongbao (小籠包). But they also have Korean food (I just found that out today by "googling" their menu lol) and that's a huge plus for me. I don't like their lunch special, I get dinner dishes. I ordered food here a few occasions. Food is not the greatest but certainly the value is there. Food quality is moderate but better seasoning could be applied. If you want stomach filling food at a bargain price in this is the place to go. If you want quality with authentic Chinese flavors this is NOT the spot to go. I ordered my shrimp fried rice and ordered extra shrimp and got scammed. I counted the shrimp without paying the extra $2 and the counter the shrimp when I paid the extra $2. Same exact amount. 4th time I reminded when I ordered please be sure to add the extra shrimp and reminded them on what occurred before. Once again in was not done but they sure did take my $2. Absolutely Horrible! I ordered Teriyaki Chicken and what I received was fried pieces of chicken floating in a watered down soup with onions. I called to complain about the product that I received and they were willing to come back and pick up the delivery but not to offer a refund or another item. We ordered from here on a Friday night for a delivery and we were a little upset that they wouldn't deliver to Harker Heights. It's hardly a 5 minute drive from here to there. But we picked it up anyway. The food was close to great. The sweet and sour chicken wasn't too sweet which happens often, but was perfect in my opinion. My boyfriend ordered duck, which was good, just a little drier than I'd expect. But I don't know exactly how duck is suppose to be cooked, so that's more of a general opinion. If I could give this restaurant a 0 star I would. I order shrimp fried rice, fried chicken wings and house egg foo young. The rice was tasteless mushy, it didn't have any onions, green or white and it didn't even have bean sprouts either basic Chinese ingredients all this rice had was some huge carrots. The egg foo young didn't have any eggs, it was made with some tasteless fried batter. I also want to mention that the chicken wings were old they tasted like nothing as well and I can tell when you reheat chicken. It always has that nasty after taste. When they say that you will anything if you are hungry, this is not the case. I hadn't eaten anything since breakfast and it was 7pm when I sat down to eat this food What a disappointment it was rated 4 1/2 stars and I really wanted this restaurant to live up to the hype. Although I didn't dine within the restaurant, I did order food for delivery. The gentleman I spoke with on the phone was very professional and courteous; and, he took the time to research my address for the driver, and for familiarity with my neighborhood. He estimated 45 minutes (good to know, since it tells me I'm more than likely not going to get food that has been under a heat lamp for a day). The driver was very polite and arrived just after the estimated time. One of the dishes that I ordered was spicy beef and rice. Unlike almost every other restaurant in the world, they use FRESH JALAPEÑOS in their dishes!!! Kudos to the Chef!!! This is very important to me; since, one fresh jalapeño has four times the vitamin C of an orange. The food, glorious Korean food, was labeled and arranged in a precise manner. I will DEFINITELY order and/or visit this restaurant again, if for anything, to thank the Chef and crew. read more

I ate here today and my first impression was that it was sketchy. On google, the place has mixed reviews but my experience was actually good. Our meal which consisted of three people ended up being $22.75. I had a the lunch special of sweet and sour and I loved it! I got a wonton soup with it, noodles, an egg roll and it came with an odd side of just one chicken wing. Even though it was a lunch plate, it was huge and I didnt eat it all but I took it home since it was that good. My service was amazing and it wasn't busy. Though, the decor was a bit odd. The quality of the building doesn't match how good the food actually was. It definitely needs an upgrade with the amount of servers and decoration. There were only 2 servers, but their teamwork was spectacular. Although it felt cozy, the decoration threw me off greatly. I rarely try new things, but I don't regret it one bit! This was my first attempt at Texas chinese food so I was hoping it was going to be good.. Unfortunately, it wasnt. I made an order of Orange Chicken, Lo Mein and Hot n Sour soup. The Orange chicken was really bland. It had a slight hint of orange but nothing to be happy about. I had to put some soy sauce on it to give it flavor and if thats the case, thats never good. I also asked for it to be crispy but what I received was pretty chewy... That kinda bummed me out. Im not sure what they gave me, but that wasnt Lo Mein. The noodles were basically spaghetti noodles with little flavoring at all. It was also about 95% noodles. There were little vegetables and the only "combination" of meat were 3 pieces of chicken and 2 shrimp. Highly disappointed with this. I did however enjoy the Hot n Sour soup. It was rich with flavor and kept me warm in this freeze were experiencing right now here in Texas. Also, the customer service was good. The person on the phone as well as the delivery driver were kind and conversational (word?) even though they sounded tired. I'll probably dine in at least once more and try a different dish, but only because its the closest chinese place to Fort Hood. I hope I can give this place more stars next time. Cheers. read more

Awful Chinese food. Ordered from here twice, both times I was very disappointed. The first tun I got fried rice and egg rolls. The egg rolls looked like it had mushy "pork" inside of if && the fried rice that was SUPPOSED TO have chicken had something weird. Decided to give them another chance just Incase the cook was having a bad day or whatever. WRONG! This time I got the fried rice, general tso, sweet & sour chicken, and egg rolls. The fried rice had the weird fake chicken again. Sweet & sour was MEH. General tso was interesting, they fried it and then mixed it in sauce? It honestly tasted like KFC nuggets. For Chinese in town, this one is pretty good. I love the wonton soup out of everything, it's the best. We've also had the lo mien, orange chicken, dumplings and sweet and sour chicken all pretty good with no complaints. I've been eating here for years, at least ten. It's always amazing. Hot, fresh, delicious. Made to order. Piping hot. Spring rolls, fried shrimp. Broccoli chicken, orange chicken, all delicious. I've never been disappointed. If you're under the weather, or just in the mood for something light, the chicken soup is delicious. Jasmine tea is delightful as well. We have used The Great Wall Cafe for our date night dinner 4 times already. It has not disappointed. we usually order a handful of items so we'll have leftovers the next day. We do pick up and the wait hasn't been over 10 minutes. Everything tastes fresh and hot when we finally get it home. We order the dumplings, a soup, rangoons, egg rolls, and two entrees. It has all been wonderful each time we order and eat. My husband says that everyone wears a mask and human contact is extremely limited. The house fried rice tasted way better then the shrimp fried rice for some reason. The sweet and sour pork was dipped and deep fried in a batter. So I found out this place does deliveries and that's honestly the only reason I get from this place. I tried the dumplings and honestly pass on them; they were way to rubbery and super soaked. It was not good at all on the dumplings. I do like everything else though but don't order if you want right that instant because they take like 75 minutes to get to you. They do have a 10 dollar minimum which is nice. Overall it's good except for some items on the menu and how long they take to get to you. read more

This is my go to spot for chinese delivery. The food is always fresh and still hot when delivered. The person that takes your order states it will be an hour but its usually around 30 minutes each time. The portions are very large which is great because we will order 3 different dinner plates and just share with everyone. We ordered delivery as we got one of their menus in our mailbox. I ordered lemon chicken, my husband ordered beef pho, and we asked for wonton soup. What we got was full of nightmares. The lemon chicken was breaded like a chicken nugget, with awful lemon water sauce. They put a cherry on there too. I don't know about anyone, but I'm pretty sure that's not actual Chinese food. And it certainly didn't taste good. The wonton soup was a joke, the wontons fell apart in the nasty sock water they call broth and they used old cabbage. Beef pho was alright, but my husband had better and we know our Korean friends at the Baptist church can make better. After this, I'm not sure I can try delivery ever again. not to mention the girl on the phone was extremely rude, said it would take an hour (it took over an hour, by the way). I absolutely adore this place, everything about it is fantastic. The food is outstanding and the prices are even better. Don't let the outside fool you. I can order hot pepper chicken, a medium soup, cheese wontons, two egg rolls, and a dr. pepper and have it delivered for UNDER 25.00$. Not to mention that when you call to place your order they already have your previous order in their system. They are truly amazing, and the staff is very friendly. Decided to give this place a try... and I am glad that we did... we ordered the cheese wontons, general tso chicken with fried rice , which was really good , and the bulgogi with white rice and a side of kimchi ( does not come with order ) the bulgogi was average, not bad but not great, but it satisfied my craving...
