If you like buffet-style fast food Chinese food, they've got some yummy stuff. I especially like that they have green vegetables in a few of their dishes, which means it hasn't been overcooked. Food, average but not bad. Price is pretty good considering there is Sushi and some seafood on the Buffett. Problem was that from the time we entered, throughout our meal and even as we were checking out a woman was on her phone talking LOUD with the phone on speaker. This woman seemed to be the owner so I guess she felt she could do what she wants. She walked around on the phone and several times sat in the booth right next to us continuing her conversation at an extreme level. The only time she stopped talking was to check someone out at the register, and even then she didn't bother too acknowledge the customer paying. Tried to have a nice dinner with my friends but it was difficult since the only thing you could really hear was this woman talking. So the food here is mediocre, it's American Chinese and it's alright in terms of quality...the best items here: Hot and Sour soup Pepper Chicken Mandarin Chicken. Date of review: Dec 11, 2022 Great Wall Chinese, Barnesville, GA. I have visited this Chinese restaurant and buffet about 6 times. It's on the smaller size of buffets. The food each time has been freshly cooked, fresh ingredients, and a good flavor. A manager there after the 2nd time knew exactly what we want to drink. We lived in Louisiana for 10 years to 2014, so I have had my fair share of crab boils and crawfish boils. This is the only place I have ever been to for a Chinese restaurant in the many many states and Chinese buffets which has come close to a Louisiana crawfish boil. Most Chinese restaurants simply boil the crawfish in water only, no boil mix. They had this on the Friday evening and Saturday buffet. A friend and I slammed at least 3 full trays of the crawfish, shrimp, and corn on Friday. We then came back on Saturday for several more trays. If the rest of their food was awful (it isn't), those boiled crawfish & shrimp would have me coming back. The skewered teriyaki chicken were perfectly cooked. The battered shrimp about on par with most places. I liked the crab rangoon which had a good amount of filling and sweet. I loved that they had eggroll which were pretty decent. I do not like spring rolls, and I was happy about the eggroll. I am not going to go over all the buffet dishes. But suffice it to say, I was happy with them as they are prepared. I tried a small bit of about 90% of the buffet items in our visits. Being that we live in an area where I can count all the Chinese restaurant within a 20 mile radius on 1 hand, I am happy with them. The restaurant was very clean, including the men's bathroom. They had a small chest freezer with assorted ice creams. The sushi was fairly decent. Our server, I believe one of the owners, is always, and I mean always on top of things. Clearing plates, refilling drinks before being asked etc. She is always very prompt in greeting people coming in when she sees them. It is my go to Chinese restaurant for our area. stopped in for a quick bite on a whim and the food was absolutely great. It's not a huge buffet but had all my favorites. Service was great, and the young lady at the front counter was the sweetest and had the best sense of humor. We will definitely be back when in the area again. read more

If I could give it 2.5 stars I would. It was OK. We went at 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon. I realize that's not ideal time so we ordered off menu ratger than buffet. Disappointed in the fried rice. Which was the whole purpose in going was I wanted good, fresh fried rice. I had hibatchi steak and shrimp. Fried rice and a shrimp egg roll. He got tso's chicken. They had specials posted. Great Wall used to be good food for a bargain. Now it's bad food and it expensive. We've been going to the Sunday lunch buffet for a several years. It used to be so crowded that you had to wait on a seat and they had good selection of typical Chinese style food, pepper steak, and other steak dishes and chicken and pork dishes. They still have a couple of those things on the buffet but now it's mostly filler, potatoes, green beans, imitation crab meat prepared multiple ways. That stuff is fine if prepared well but everything just tastes bad now. On my latest visit the potatoes were undercooked, the egg rolls were stale, the breaded chicken used with sweet and sour sauce was fatty. The price has also gone up it was $45 for 2 adults and a kid. The only good thing is that it's no longer crowded. read more

This was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant is very nice and clean. The service was slow but the food was hot and fresh. I've eaten there 3 times since they reopened . I gave them a second chance bc the first wasn't good. 2nd try wasn't good either. Tonight I gave one more try and it wasn't good. I had the broccoli chicken. They aren't using fresh chicken but processed chicken that's real fatty. My to go box was 3/4 rice with the chicken broccoli on the side that was flooded in gravy. The lunch buffet is good. My favorites are the pepper steak, crab rangon, and the hot and sour soup. A must try!
