    Jalapeño chicken

Was in the area so thought I would try Great Wall. I ordered jalapeño chicken. First I will say the flavor was amazing. But I just wish it would have been cooked a tad longer. Little more char on the chicken and veggies. Chicken was a bit texture weird. But I still enjoyed my dish. My egg drop soup was very delicious. If I lived closer I would for sure be back to try other options. Most people there were eating their lunch buffet. Buffet is not my jam.

We've done take out from here at least a half dozen times now, and I was surprised I had not done a review yet. Every time we visit, the food is done extremely fast and is always fresh still when we arrive home. Our latest visit I got my favorite, the peanut butter chicken and fried rice. Great Wall has one of the best peanut butter chickens I've had and it's because of their sauce. I recommend asking for a little extra when ordering because it's that good! My wife tried a new one this time, the Hawaiian chicken with fried rice and hot and sour soup. The sauce was light and tangy, what I would have expected for Hawaiian flavors. It was really tasty if you're looking for a tangy flavor with your Chinese food! The soup this particular time my wife said was spicier than usual, but still good. Overall, if you're looking for quick and tasty Chinese food, Great Wall is an excellent local option!

    Kung Pao Chicken*

I've lived near Great Wall for 5 years and finally tried their food. Hands down my favorite Chinese food in town. I had Shrimp in Lobster sauce and it was crazy good. Big jumbo shrimp! The kung pao chicken was legit as well. Can't wait to try their other dishes.

Awesome lunch buffet and very cheap. Only $6.25 which includes the drink as well. So really reasonable and good selection of food.

They had amazing salmon and shrimp that came around as well. Even the bacon wrapped chicken was delicious. Their cold/warm bar has so many options! The warm bar had scalloped potatoes with Alfredo that were outstanding. I know I already stated this, but I cannot get over how friendly and attentive the staff are! They made for an amazing experience and I've been telling everyone to go. Cannot wait to go back.

Despite the holiday crowds, we were seated quickly and the service remained attentive throughout our meal. There were plenty of servers on the floor, and someone was always stopping by to check on us and make sure we had everything we needed. It's loud with all everything going on but it didn't bother us. The salad bar and hot bar had good selections. There was an impressive variety of fresh salads, sides, and hot dishes, with plenty of options for everyone. You could easily make a meal just from the buffet offerings. The meat selection was good, although not every cut came around as frequently as we would have liked. Because of how busy the restaurant was, there were a few meats we were hoping to try that took quite a while to make their way to our table. That was really our only disappointment. The cocktails were excellent. The dessert we tried was also great. The restaurant also has a large parking lot, making arrival and departure easy even on a crowded holiday. This is definitely a place to go when you're ready to indulge.

The fried ravioli is an interesting texture, with breading around the dough. My friends loved this, but it was a bit chewy for me. The flavor of the marinara sauce was great. The calamari wasn't much thicker cut with very thin bread compared to anything I've tried before. This was a bit too much for me, but again, my friends liked this! The artichoke dip had a strange flavor to me, it was a bit less cheesy than others I've had in the past. The bread we got for the table was the star of the show for me, despite not being a huge red person myself! This was so warm, with large pads and butter, and the flavor and texture was absolutely perfect. I would definitely come back for this alone! The salad I got was all right, although it had a bit too much dressing despite me asking for this on the side. The shrimp was good, the items in the salad were good as well. I was surprised with the low price of this solid, including a protein for around $22! The desserts at the end of our visit were also impressive. The favorite for our table was the carrot cake, with a lemon blueberry, being a very close! The carrot cake was delicious with the rich cream cheese frosting. The lemon blueberry cake had the texture of a muffin, with delicious icing on top. We also got the chocolate cake, but none of us loved this, as it was far too rich without being very sweet. All in all, this will not be a spot I recommend going forward. I had a nonalcoholic Moscow mule, which was not good, I couldn't finish it. I believe they make their own ginger beer, possibly? The flavor was far different than any mule I have had in the past I would come back if this place is suggested, and I would plan to fill up on bread, and probably get a salad with the dressing on the side. Our server did a pretty good job, with us having seven people total. The best part of this place is the ambience of being on the lake!
