    Orange chicken

The Orange chicken was beyond dry, very bland and flavorless. The food took too long for the food not to be fresh. The wonton soup has no veggies just broth and 3 pieces of wonton, I was told this was going to feed 4. The wonton was mushy. Waste of $70 NEVER COMING BACK!!!!

First time trying this place out. Won't be the last. Food was hot and fresh, and reasonably priced. Portions are also good in that regard. Combos are great with the steam or fried rice and soup. Tried also the paper wrapped chicken it was SO yummy. Didn't snag a picture of it because it was so good. Great appetizer. Thumbs up from me!! Update: tried the mapo tofu as well as some fried rice. The mapo tofu was definitely a bit lackluster in terms of what I was expecting: a traditional and spicy dish. However it was more of a firmer tofu in a savory brown sauce. No veggies or anything. I did ask for it without the pork though. So I'll take that into account. It was still good, however just not what I expected. Milk tea is the BOMB. Great original flavor you'd expect. Fried rice could be a little more flavorful, though. added a few of my own touches to it to give it that boost. I know what to order for next time!

The sad noodles ...it's all watery underneath

We came in for the first time and I'm sorry to say it will be our last. The waitress was passive aggressive. Maybe she's been there too long already. She has zero patience and the food oh no...everything is brown and gray...we didn't see the veggies and everything is covered in a brownish soup. We ordered the shrimp and they're battered in regular flour ...they were ok but the ones we've had at our favorite Chinese place are nice and crispy ...not these...the noodles look sad and very thin. The rice was also gray and sad ...we're disappointed we have to look for another Chinese restaurant to love

    Great Wall at 12:14.

Pretty much what you would expect for a Chinese restaurant in Lancaster. Food was not that great and a little too greasy.

The service was great though, our server was really kind and attentive. The food was delicious, with generous portions and reasonable pricing for Tonkatsu. I got the cheese one and loved it, and my husband's udon was flavorful. I also added spicy tuna roll on the side with my set, and it was also delicious. We went around lunchtime and it was pretty empty, so we were able to choose our own table and relax. We told the waitress it was our first time there, so we ordered a little bit of everything to try different items on the menu. We ordered the ribeye shabu-shabu hotpot, cheese tonkatsu, a kids chicken katsu meal, and the fire dragon roll. The ribeye hotpot was good, and I would order it again. The only thing is that the broth tasted more like a basic soup base rather than a rich, deeply flavored broth that's been simmered for hours like some other hotpot places. Still enjoyable, just not super flavorful. The cheese tonkatsu was interesting to try, but personally not my favorite. It was basically fried chicken topped with a lot of cheese. The girls there mentioned it's a popular dish, but it just wasn't for me. I probably wouldn't order that again. The fire dragon roll was okay too. Despite the name, it wasn't spicy, and it could've used a little more flavor overall. The regular chicken katsu was a safe option for our child since he doesn't eat spicy food. Service was good, prices were fair, and the portions were generous. We actually ended up taking leftovers home because there was a lot of food. Overall, I would come back and try different things on the menu. Even though a couple dishes weren't exactly my taste, it was still a good experience and worth trying if you're looking for a local spot in Quartz Hill.

We started with a French baguette served with honey butter and olive oil for dipping. Both paired perfectly with the bread and were incredibly flavorful. For our entrées, we ordered the lamb shank with mashed potatoes and the herb honey-crusted chicken on a brioche bun. Both dishes were outstanding and full of flavor. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was pleasant, peaceful, and welcoming. We had a wonderful dining experience and will definitely be back!

Food 3-5 - we've had mixed experiences, but mostly very good. There aren't any off menu requests accepted. One cannot replace ingredients. One can only remove specific items from a menu choice. Don't even ask. Apparently the chef's policy is absolute. Ambiance 4-5 nicely decorated and designed. Has a high end feel that is unusual for the AV. So why the 3 stars? One single experience. My wife asked the server (Jackie) if it would be possible to get a side of sauteed mushrooms. She said probably not as it's not permitted by the chef. We asked to speak to the manager to express our disappointment. When Jake showed up, before we uttered a word, he stated that it's just something they don't do, so no to our request. Then he turned and walked away. There was no dialogue. It was a one way conversation. In essence, we and our request were dismissed. The experience was incredibly off-putting. It was unnecessary to respond to a patron's request in that manner. Totally unacceptable. I write this review to memorialize the experience for others, because it won't matter to the owner/chef/management. It seems, judging by their total lack of response to other reviews, good or bad, that it really doesn't. Typical dinners we've had run a tab of $150-200 (including tip). We have visited 1-2 times a month for the past two years. We have brought friends and family on several occasions, generating additional per-visit revenue for the restaurant. Again, this doesn't seem to matter. So, sadly, we're going to have to take a leave of this place. Too bad really.

The place is always so clean and proudly display their A rating right by the door. They've got about eight styles of meats to choose from and the prices for the tacos are SO affordable. There was one cashier on the phone and two other girls serving tables, so it took a minute before we could place our order. It's a small, casual spot with people constantly coming in and out. I ordered a sopes plate with a taco de tripas. The sopes themselves were actually really good, but unfortunately my rice and beans were cold, so I didn't eat them. The tripas were overcooked. So crunchy they felt like eating popcorn, which was disappointing. My husband ordered a torta de carnitas and a taco al pastor. The al pastor marinade was pretty mediocre, nothing special, and the torta was just okay. We also ordered a burrito with asada and rice only and again, the rice came out cold while the meat was hot. They did bring us chips and salsa, and the red spicy salsa was actually good, probably the best part of the meal. Overall, this place is okay but very mediocre. With how expensive eating out is these days, I'm really picky about where I spend my money, and this didn't feel worth it. There are definitely better, Mexican spots in Lancaster that I'd rather go to. I probably won't be coming back.
