Me and my friend have came here a lot. The fried rice is fantastic, as well as the potstickers and sweet and sour soup. The seafood is good, but be careful what you eat: I will admit there are something's that I WILL NOT try here (namely the oysters). The fruit/dessert/sushi bar honestly isn't good at all. I realize that it's a buffet and that they're not going to make top of the line Japanese sushi, but it did mess with my stomach, the fruit doesn't taste fresh either, it feels dry sometimes and hard, as if they left part of the rind on the fruit. The interior is nicely designed, spacious, and can get quite busy. The staff is friendly, especially the owner. Most importantly for a buffet: they keep it clean! I've never seen any food left on the floor or table, and they encourage you to use a new plate every time so that you don't spread your ebola or whatever you may have. read more

Honestly, this just another OK chinese buffet. The food was mostly cold, and the sushi wasn't fresh (the rice was hard). Not a very wide selection- two small buffet lines, only 4 types of sushi- but pretty good. The Spanish music blaring from the kitchen did kind of ruin the atmosphere, not to mention being annoying... This was the worst Chinese buffet I have ever been to. Everything was either cold, or so over cooked it was inedible. From the rice in my sushi that was hard little stale pellets, to the Rangoons that were burnt to a crisp. Meat was rubbery and left out far too long. Oysters were not cooked. Only passable food was the noodles. And they were cold. But at least edible . There is a sister location in Frisco, it is 1000x better. Don't waste your time here. read more

For a Chinese Buffet, this is as good as it gets in Plano. It has it's good points and it's bad points. I go here because it is just a bit better than the rest of the buffets along Central Expressway all the way up into McKinney. The best dish for me is the Michael's chicken. It is a very crispy wing section that has a yummy Asian sauce on it. Totally terrific! The rest of the Buffet is an EXACT COPY of every other Chinese buffet I have ever been to. WHAT is it about these restaurants! Do they have a warehouse nearby that cranks out the same looking and tasting dishes distributed to the buffet troughs for us to eat from. I noticed this same pattern in the doughnut places around. Tons of them, different oriental owners, Exact same product in each one. Service is great at this location!!!! I don't like it when the manager is swatting flies near the buffet with the electric bug killing racket. I hope he knows that when he does hit one, and you hear that little pop, that the fly was just exploded, and shot it's guts all over, in a umbrella shaped cloud below where he hit it. I had a taste for Chinese today, so my hubby and I ate here for lunch. We had never been before so besides the Yelp ratings I really didn't know what to expect. When you walk in you are greeted by 2 long buffets, but when you get a closer look, it's just OK, the hold entire lunch was just OK. I made a plate with rice, their version of low mein, pineapple chicken, sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken and I sampled their sushi. The sushi was terrible. Its similar to Panda Express, but with more variety, so if you love Panda Express I suggest going across the parking lot to Collin Creek and dining there. If you're not a fan of Panda Express you may not like this buffet at all. read more

I eat here whenever I'm craving a huge quantity of yummy Chinese chow. It's always packed at night with hard-working Latinos. No surprise there... it's a great deal and it's great chow. Usually, Asians are there eating as well, so it's a place with a lot of multi-cultural appeal. This place seems to have gotten a rep for being cruel to a handicapped kid or something. There is one time on a Sunday night I was there near closing time. They closed at 9:30 and I got there at 9:20. I told them it wouldn't be a problem because I would get everything I wanted in one go, as I usually do. You should see how high I can pile a couple of plates! Well, all the remaining people in the place that night were stacked into a single section, I guess so they could get the rest cleaned up. I have to say that I could feel the pressure to get the hell out as soon after 9:30 as I could possibly leave. Every restaurant business knows that if you close at a certain time, that means people can come in right up to that time. If you run a restaurant, you shouldn't expect to let the last customer out the door until at least an hour past closing time, so this was a bit unusual. I typically give somewhat of a pass to places run by Asians, though, because they come from a different culture and maybe it doesn't work that way where they are from. Plus, I think it's funny to watch how people act. It doesn't bother me, because I will still enjoy my food regardless of how the managers of the place act. I'm just very easy-going. While every time I have been to this place with plenty of time left before closing, the staff have been VERY kind, I was quite surprised at how angry the male host seemed to be with the remaining staff when a few other tables and mine were left after closing time. The cleanup crew have orange shirts! Nice-looking Asian waitresses in dark clothing. I always enjoy going there because of the waitresses. There is a certain one that I always hope to get because she is a very elegant-looking lady probably in her late 30's or early 40's. She just looks so... I don't know how to describe it... HOT!!!! Probably because she seems so proper and I have a thing for elegant, proper, intelligent women. ;-) She reminds me of the chick from Bowie's China Girl video, only older and cuter. It's hard to find a place my family will agree on, but this seems okay if we all want to go out together... I know I am picky. I'd rather pay 11 dollars for exactly what I want than settle. This is another case of affordable all-you-can-eat making the overall quality take a hit. That being said - at least they have some variety in their main ingredients. I appreciated the seafood here: shrimp, crawfish, mussels, swai (kinda fatty fish- think tuna/salmon) and calamari... plus they use lots of jalapenos in their dishes - yay spicy. Just nasty. Nothing else but. Is it possible to rate less than 1 star? I was there a while ago with a friend and her family. I love sushi and I was interested in getting some. By standing 5 feet away from what I thought I was going to enjoy, I was turned off. The sushi rice looks literally like plastic. The look of it is just plain nasty and ugh. Are these real Japanese chefs? I barely eaten anything from that place because I was afraid that I'll get some sort of food poison. The place looks horrific and a breeding ground for what may be rats and cockroaches. It lacks sanitation and cleanliness. Went there with the family. This time we were actually seated in a decent spot and the food was good. Unfortunately, I will not be able to take my family of six there anymore. Because I had six people (2 adults, 2 teen children, a 8yr old and 3 yr old) I was told I had to pay a automatic gratuity. I was also lied too and told that all companies like theirs do the same thing (Note: King Buffet does not charge my family an automatic gratuity). Food is average. You will get varity of Asian food from sushi rolls to fried rice. For the price, I would say a 3 star place.

The food was good, I liked their selection. The ding is because the waitress was giving us signs that she wants us gone such as putting the bill on our table at the second plate, grabbing plates as they're being used...and the largest was when I asked her what time the place closed and she answered that this section is closed, then grabbed my half filled plate and took it away. After seeing all the average ratings for Chinese Buffets around Richardson/Plano area, I decided to come to this one as it is cheaper ($10.94 compare to $14.99 at the other one on Friday dinner). The decor inside is really nice and relaxing. However, the service is not great. I was taken to a table by the corner, where it is hard to get to. The waitress did not even bother to take my plates away and I had to stack 2-3 plates on the table. I left one plate, I got up to get another round of food. After finished with second round, waitress still did not pick up the used plates. It is not until I start 3rd round of food that she came and took the plates. I rarely hear any "thank you" and the waitress just take my check and left. The food is just average, but it is ashame that they do not have Mongolian BBQ/grill. read more

Was by here with some work colleagues recently for lunch, very nice place, parking is easy, clean interior. Far cleaner than some Chinese buffets. Food variety is pretty typical of what you'll find at a buffet, but the dishes were all full and hot. They were not running out of anything which is a common occurrence at a buffet, all the offerings were turned over and replenished regularly. Chicken wings were surprisingly good, very tasty. Service was about what you'd expect but very friendly. And it's a great value for the dollars paid, will return. read more

Honestly, I really mean this when I say it. This restaurant's service is beyond most. Firstly, the servers are so nice and patient. Made sure we got everything we needed with no complications. The food was also great. But above all in my opinion, I forgot my mask and instead of being patronized per usual by other establishments, they kindly handed me a mask with no issues. I suppose Chinese-American buffets are everywhere in most cities. And most are average at best with mediocre food, bland and been out too long. Great Wall is the exception!! They have two long buffet tables. They have such a great turnover that the food is fresh and good. Three kinds of delicious soup. Baked swai, a type of Vietnamese catfish. A large variety of foods, barbecue ribs and kabobs, and their fresh versions of standard Chinese buffet food. Good salads, lots of fresh fruit in season and the usual poor excuse for sushi. I've been going here for years. It's always fresh because of the constant turnover of customers. I highly recommend this place. read more

The best thing about the place is the fortune cookie: at least you can be grateful that the meal is over. Over cooked l, bland, and overly sweet fare. Everything kept well stocked, but nothing stood out to me taste wise that would bring me back if I came to Texas again in the future. Lot's of salt vs. other flavors that I would expect from Chinese food. Buffet was well stocked. The service was very good though as my glass was always full and plates removed! Fantastic place! The food is delicious, the broccoli beef in particular is a wonderful combination of beef so tender it melts in your mouth and crunchy broccoli. It is your typical American-Chinese food buffet. There are a large and varied selection of hot and cold foods but there's no variation to taste. It pretty much tasted all the same with no spices at all. The food was kept at a plentiful level with clean buffet lines. The wait staff was attentive with frequent stops to pickup plates, refill of drinks, and inquiring if we needed anything. It's a quick stop for Chinese food with considerate service. read more

Food is ok typical Chinese buffet, however I was there on Thursday night we were there before close and I was appalled the they started cleaning up the food before they actually closed they finished taking all the buffet down before they closed for the night and there were still about 10 customers eating my wife and I included, also one of the kitchen staff was pulling the cart of food back to the kitchen and knocked into a customer's table moving It about 1 foot and they said nothing to the customer it made my wife not feel good about eating there. After eating at even more Chinese buffets, I can now safely say that this is probably the best Chinese buffet in DFW. The interior is impeccable. There's no other way to describe it. Everything is super clean and even the little containers of sugar, soy sauce, salt and pepper are polished and shiny, filled to the brim on every table. With many restaurants they clean the tables but grime builds up on the containers. Not here. I also realized the mural was of famous people from Dallas, thanks to a small handwritten note attached to the wall. Apparently Barney the dinosaur was conceived here in Dallas. The food was excellent and everything was fresh. The selection was a solid balance of stir fries, deep fried stuff ('Murica!) and some seafood dishes. The grilled swai was fantastic and more like something you might find at an a la carte restaurant, and there's a solid selection of fresh fruits and salads. I had rated it a 4/5 before, but now I realized I was just searching for a mythical 5/5 restaurant that existed only in my mind, but that restaurant was here all along. read more

AWFUL. We went there last night and we have been sick all night and all morning. Im also 9 months pregnant so it made it 10x worse . Called to get a refund or something for the awful food poisoning and manager said he wasnt going to do anything and that no other reports were made. Server tipped herself on our check with only 2 people on the check. Probably wouldve given her a better tip if she hadnt done that . Awful food awful service. Manager is no help what so ever. I used to come here all the time and it was decent, but tonight's visit was regretful, the food tasted old, the shrimp tasted as if it was old, I could barely stomach it, the rice tasted awful. All I could eat were the noodles, I tried the beef and it was all fatty and couldn't chew it, I'm not sure if it was because it was a weekday and no effort went into tonight's service but it is hands down the worst Chinese buffet experience I've had and I've had some pretty bad ones. read more
