Best Chinese takeout on the cape. As far as hokey American Chinese takeout places go, at least. They have a really lovely ribs, excellent lo mein, and a great soup! I can't think of anything I've tried that I didn't like. My personal favorite is the "chicken noodle soup" which is really just some udon-like noodles in a wonton-style chicken broth. I'm only giving it a 4 because my experience has been limited to other friends/family picking up the food themselves without much word on the service. read more

Great Wall was just fine, an old-fashioned sort of Chinese restaurant, meaning it serves sort of Americanized Chinese food, the only kind anyone could get in the US before about 1990. Nothing wrong with that. I ordered hot & sour soup, egg rolls, and paradise chicken, and ate in the restaurant. I don't recommend actually eating in. It's more or less like eating at a rest-stop restaurant in terms of ambience. Really this place is primarily about take-out or delivery. The soup was good, both hot and sour and not overly thickened. The egg rolls were standard, identical to what you get most places - they may well be pre-made; certainly they were flash-fired to re-heat them when I ordered. I live near Great Wall and have been getting take out or having lunch there for over 20 years. Sometimes it's good. Sometimes it's mediocre. Tonight was horrible. I placed my order and went back in the 25 minutes it was supposed to be ready. There was a line of people outside the door waiting. Some had been there for almost an hour and a half. I had picked up ice cream before I went to pick up the Asian food and figured I better go home to put that away and come back. When I got home I called to ask when my order would be ready. They said 20 minutes. So I went back 25 minutes later. There were like 10-15 bags lined up on the counter, most still open. Still a big line so I started to complain. They called me up, asked for my order number, appeared all confused, then came back and said was still waiting for 2 things to be cooked (all appetizers, nothing special). So then 5 minutes later - the time it actually takes to make them- they bring me my order. I come home literally a 3 minute drive, and 2 things are hot and the other 2 things are ice cold I can only guess that they were just mass producing the most popular things and filling orders gradually. I would have been happier waiting almost 2 hours if everything was hot. I can understand getting backed up. I cannot understand not filling the orders as they come in. Cold fried rice. Cold crab Rangoon. Hot "special" chicken wings and chicken fingers. The worst thing is that I had paid online and already gave a generous tip. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

This is our go-to Chinese takeout choice. We have about 3 similar places close enough to choose from, and this is alway our #1. If you are looking for traditional Americanized Chinese take out, Great Wall has decent prices and fair portion sizes. They also give free white rice with their General Tso's (the other local places don't.) I have had a few issues with them - forgetting the white rice, not putting sauce in with my scallion pancakes - but since we get more food for our money we always go back! read more

Eggs rolls were as good as any take out. Chicken lomein and veg fried rice VERY BLAND. I worked in Boston's Chinatown for many years. Dining with Chinese friends and colleagues, I became much more aware of the Chinese palate and complex regional dishes. But I grew up on the South Shore, where Chinese food was definitely adjusted for American tastes. My sister is visiting from Florida and she favors 'old school' suburban Chinese dishes, not available in her West Coastal Florida area. I knew exactly where to go, having ordered take-out from the Great Wall for guests in the past. She was delighted. The food was fresh, plentiful, hot and ready on arrival. and the portions were large enough to assure left-overs would provide a second meal for tomorrow. If you want authenic Chinese fare, drive the 70 miles to Boston. If you want good, reasonably priced take-out with the vintage choices you remember, you will not be disappointed at the Great Wall. read more

Pretty much the only good Chinese food to be found on that long stretch between Hyannis and Falmouth. The price is right, the vegetables are fresh, the kitchen is efficient and produces overall tasty stuff. The only negative worth mentioning is that the staff is somewhat brusque, and I always feel rushed both in person and on the phone placing takeout orders. But considering how busy their takeout business is, I suppose its to be expected to a degree. Most of the menu is standard "american" Chinese food, including chicken fingers, pork ribs, low mein and whatnot. But they also have a nice selection of more authentic Chinese dishes if you look deeper. read more

The food is pretty solid, Americanized Chinese food. The staff is really friendly and you get a lot of food for your dollar. I recently moved down the street from the restaurant and it's great being able to walk down the street and get quality Chinese food. I normally get an order of crab rangoon, egg rolls, and beef fried rice. The crab rangoon are my favorite on Cape, and the egg rolls are nothing to scoff at either. I prefer the rice at Asia in the Mashpee Commons to the rice here, but it's still very good! If you want decent, quick Chinese food that won't break the bank check out Great Wall. Thanks to all the Yelpers who helped us find a 4+ star restaurant in Mashpee on our way to a wedding. We were hungry, one of us is ethnic Chinese, and we knew we wouldn't be eating the wedding dinner soon. Our rating is 5 stars considering the low prices and generous servings. The food is fresh and excellent; we had the seafood, the vegetables, and moo shu pork. Moo shu is served with 5 Mandarin pancakes and hoisin sauce, for making your own roll-ups. The restaurant has large individual restrooms, male and female, which made it easy for us to change into wedding guest clothes. Cheerful, helpful staff. Ambiance is clean pizzeria-style, mostly take-out. It's great for the Cape, but not 5-star for NYC Chinatown or Boston Chinatown. read more

Decent Chinese food when there are few other options in this part of the Cape. We got take-out General Tso and Singapore noodles. The General's chicken was smallish pieces with a lot of batter and very sweet. There was some broccoli as well, but pretty soaked and wilty. The noodle dish was fairly good. I liked the curry flavor. I found business on Yelp, called in made an order. There was no specific sizes listed for the items I ordered and when I called in to make my order the lady did not ask me if I wanted a large or small. I arrived to pick my order up and was stunned by the price for two small items. The lady said I didn't say if I wanted a large or small so decided to give me a large. I explained I found the menu from their Yelp page and that I was going off the options given to me there. She was very visually upset that I wasn't willing to pay for a large meal for just myself to eat. I told her I would like to order the appropriate size and she was willing to charge me the correct amount; not without expressing how it was my fault for not knowing there were multiple sizes. I left a two dollar tip because I genuinely felt bad but at the same time very very disappointed by the manner in which she handled such a simple error. This was my first and likely my last visit here. The food will never be good enough to feel disrespected as a customer.
