I have had very nice dinners and luncheons at Bangkok Cuisine here in Orleans. I treat myself to the crispy whole fish with tamarind sauce, and chunks of veggies. I like their sticky rice, and the seaweed salad. A good cold glass of white wine is always good. read more

This place is some of the best Thai food I've ever had! 10 out of 10. Loved the crab rolls & pinky in a blanket - the egg roll wrapping was thin and fresh, not oily like other places. Amazing place we happened upon while walking the little town of Falmouth. After checking out a half dozen menus at other places we decided to try something different then the usual Italian place or bar like restaurant and we were extremely happy with our choice. First hint we found we made the right choice was that the restaurant was crowded. After looking over the extensive menu we each picked a dish. I order a special called the drunken fried rice and it would be just what the doctor ordered had I been drunk but was amazing even though I was sober. It had a rich dense and intense flavor. It stuck together in a good way with perfectly seasoned shrimp. The Thai spaghetti had just the right heat without losing the flavor profile. It I lived local this would be a place I would try often so I could work my way thru the menu. The only downside was there was just one server and it was too busy of a night for one person to effective handle so many tables which left us with empty water glasses at times as well as having to wait for the bill. The food at Bangkok Cuisine was tasty, the server was fantastic, and my boyfriend and I both left full and happy. We're both vegan, so we decided to veganize the Cashew Nut entree with tofu and vegetables and the Pad See You by omitting the eggs and fish sauce. Our server was so accommodating and friendly, and clearly marked "vegan: no fish sauce or eggs!" at the top of our order, which was reassuring. We also ordered a side of rice and a side of steamed vegetables for some extra nutritional punch. We split both dishes, and the portion sizes were pretty good. I will say that the portions are on the smaller size for a Thai restaurant, but it was still enough to fill us both up. The Pad See You had really good flavor, but there were only 5 small pieces of tofu scattered throughout. Again, the Cashew Nut tasted good, but I couldn't find any of the pineapple its description had, and the protein portion was also small. I'd definitely come back for dinner, and possibly ask for a double portion of the tofu. Overall, service was excellent, and the food was really tasty though I wish they were more generous with the tofu. If you're vegan (or not) and looking for somewhere to have dinner on the Cape, I highly recommend checking out Bangkok Cuisine. read more

It was a decent place to sit down in the downtown area. Service was very slow; took us about 10 mins just to order. The Tom yum kung soup had no lemongrass flavor and was wayyy too sweet. The appetizer mussels had a total of 5 mussels. Somehow I was expecting more. Also that was too sweet. We ordered a glass noodle with chicken, and a cashew dish as entrees. The glass noodle seemed to be made of sugar and no other spice/seasoning. For a dish literally named "cashew nut", it had about 7 cashews and the rest was all onions and bell peppers with a few pieces of carrots and mushrooms. I learned that the entree didn't come with rice and you had to pay extra for it, apparently that's a Cape Cod rule (words from the server). Overall, decent dining environment, disappointing food, slow service. But maybe I should keep my expectations low for Cape Cod. read more

The food here is authentic. I just returned from my 20th trip to Thailand and can say Bangkok Cuisine is as good as 90 percent of the food I've eaten in the real Bangkok! However, the service is lacking. Tonight I waited over 10 minutes for my beer in a nearly empty restaurant. The server, the only server, never checked in with our table. I would have liked a second and third beer. The lighting is horrendous. It is so bright. People go out to eat for nice ambiance. Soft lighting. I ordered the chicken Pad Thai, mixed vegetables with pork, Massaman chicken curry, spring rolls and 1 beer. $61. I think that's too much. Imagine the amount of Chinese food for that price! Turn down the lights, hire an additional server, make the dining experience special. read more

We ordered take out as that was the only option these days. Specifically asked how long the order would take. We were told 20-25 minutes. Showed up 30 minutes later and waited for 20 more minutes to get our take out. If they would just say 45 minutes, that's fine as we can plan for it. Several other customers were ver frustrated at the long waits after they arrived. Food was average for a Thai restaurant. Typical good flavor but quality was lacking. Food seems overcooked and prepared ahead of time. Mussel appetizers tasted good but were chewy- like they had been overcooked. We've eaten mussels at two other places this week which were much fresher and melted in your mouth. Pad Thai with beef was tasty but again the beef was chewy. It was hard to feel one was a valued customer. They made us feel as if we were in a take out restaurant where one orders and quickly must depart. Thai food is my favorite cuisine. I've had a lot of Thai food in my day, so I am pretty confident when I say that Bangkok Cuisine is a 5/5 place! Food was delicious, I rate that a 10/10. Takeout service was quick, clean (during covid), and friendly, also a 10/10. Their portion sizes (again for takeout) are slightly smaller than average, but definitely still enough for one person. Pricing is fair. They also have a decently sized menu, especially considering the current situation and only takeout being offered. I got the pad see you with tofu. Pretty much everything on their menu can be made vegan or at least vegetarian. This place is a must try if you want some good Thai food!! read more

This restaurant is absolutely wonderful (I went there 3 times last week!). Their curries are absolutely delicious with just the right amount of spice and I highly recommend their Bangkok Fried Rice with pork- so good. The location on Main Street in Falmouth is very convenient and even though it is still only Take Away the girl who gave me my order was lovely and friendly. I'm looking forward to them opening inside again. I highly recommend this restaurant- one of the best Thai restaurants I've experienced. read more

Had the special chicken sauce. It was supposed to be in a galangal sauce. What I ended up with was fried pieces of chewy chicken in a watery yellow curry sauce. It was watery because the broccoli hadn't been drained properly, so everything was soggy and watered down. I think they thought we wouldn't know the difference between a galangal sauce and yellow curry--probably because it's popular with tourists. We won't be back. read more

This is a good, very standard American Thai restaurant. There is another in town and this one is superior for sure. They happily take fish sauce out of anything on the menu if you're vegan or vegetarian, and they definitely understand those diets and are quick to recommend the best options on the menu. This new restaurant is a nice addition to downtown Falmouth. The space is simple, a long narrow room with a beautiful window on Main. The old building has a recessed entry, a high ceiling with large dark trim wood. We were greeted promptly and warmly. Seated immediately. Menus and drinks soon. We got the calamari It was very nicely crisp with a hot sweet sauce. Pad Thai was large and good, nicely presented. The tofu had a good breaking and excellent breaking and fry. All dishes were tasty, fresh, and with lots of veggies. We will go again. Don't fear. Hot dishes are not hot. read more

I hate to admit it, but when I walked in, I wasn't expecting much. This is Labor Day weekend, everywhere else was packed with hour long wait times, and here was this Thai restaurant that seated us immediately. But honestly, I am so happy to say we were surprised. Even though the food was okay, the service was awful. Rude waiter, he took forever to come, didn't want to split the bill. We tip with 15% because the service was LOUSY and the waiter came to point us that we should leave at least 18%, telling us how much should we leave!!!! My pad Thai had absolutely no sauce and was overall just pretty bland. I also asked for it to be spicy and there wasn't even a bit of a kick. "Delicious, but expensive for small portions!" The food was delish: tasted fresh, Thai-spiced just right, and service was terrific. Our only complaint is that all our food, the appetizers (Crispy Rolls, 3 small rolls for 2 people, why not 4? Two for each person? and Dumplings 5 tiny triangles) and the entree dishes (Cashew Shrimp, and Lad Nar w/chicken, this dish was very soupy, with hardly any flat noodles), and an order of rice, (that was tiny AND cost extra) were extremely small in portion size, for for very outsized prices!! The bill came to about $48. before tax, which does not seem outrageous for a nice dinner out, but for the BIG discrepancy between portion size and cost.
