We recently moved to the area and are happy to say we found our new favorite go-to takeout place! Flavorful food, great portions, easy to order online, and pickup was super fast. We ordered the orange chicken, lo mein, and General Tsp's chicken which were all delicious. The orange chicken actually had some spice to it which was great- at most places it isn't spicy enough. When we arrived to pick up our food, the owner threw in extra rice and some crab rangoons on the house which was so nice!! We will absolutely be back! Thanks! read more

BEWARE OF PRICE DECEPTION. You will be charged significantly more than the prices on their online menu and the paper menus in the restaurant. When my bill was about 20% higher than expected, I asked about it. They said "old menus." Really??? An online menu (which I had ordered from) can be changed very easily, in a handful of keystrokes. You have stacks and stacks of new looking paper menus at the register, in the waiting area, outside. I understand that prices have gone up and people are struggling to make it work in the industry right now, but I've never seen such a blatant lack of transparency like this during any of the pandemic. I've eaten in dozens of restaurants that have been very upfront about increased prices. Not these people. read more

this has become our go-to Chinese restaurant . originally we tried it simply because it is open late, but the whole family agreed it was superior to our prior usuals...and we rarely all agree. the food is fresh and always ready quickly. we always order sizzling rice soup, steamed Peking ravioli, scallion pancakes ,. other favorites are lo main , moo shi, spicy green beans, general Taos chicken, garlic chicken, shrimp with veggies. we get take out, only ate lunch at the restaurant once ...it was fine. oh, and we appreciate the free choice of scallion pancakes or crab rations with our order. read more

Once upon a time, I never had a bad meal here, mostly when it was just the plain wok. Overruled my friend to come here, and had lousy service, hot appetizers brought out cold, no plates to put them on. Teabag in a cup of lukewarm water, sent it back, no excuse for that, one appetizer missing and brought at the end of our meal...noodles also cold. I asked if there something wrong in the kitchen, was told there were new people. Anyhow, I'm done, next time I'll go with my friend's choice. If the food had been hot it still would have been meh. No reason for bad service, maybe half a dozen people at lunch. read more

This place is under new ownership as of a few months ago, they are now part of the same group that owns Jin's in Wellesley which is known for its quality. I thought "The Wok" (previous name) had good Chinese food but the new ownership group here makes food that is immensely better. Their boneless spare ribs are the most tender and juiciest I have ever had, as is their lo mein, beef teriyaki, and crab rangoon. Every item I've had here is better and more carefully prepared with higher quality ingredients than any restaurant I've ever been to. I wish Yelp's page would reflect that it's under new ownership so more people would know their reputation has taken a huge step forward. You owe it to yourself to go here if you haven't been a while, it's just plain awesome food. read more

We loved this place!! We walked in as a party of 7 and they had no trouble finding us seating immediately. We have a lot of dietary restrictions in our family and they were incredibly accommodating to the vegetarians and gluten-free allergies among us. The food was delicious, I personally loved my vegetable gyoza (truly some of the best I've ever had) but everyone at our table loved their various dinner orders of lo mein, chicken dishes, veggie rice noodles, teriyaki pork, crab Rangoon, and fried rice. food was good no issues on that part aside from the pricing at first it would seem it's for the large portions but when you are done and ask for to go box they take your food and pack up a third of the portions i paid 20$ for rice and was given a small chinese to go box with a quarter of what i paid for not to mention everyone else's meals if you go do not plan on having left overs they will basically steal from you read more

The wok has excellent food. We order to NWH all the time. Always fresh and delicious. Try any of the lunch options. I particularly like the shrimp with lobster sauce - you get about 6 shrimp - and I always get the pork fried rice + egg roll. The egg rolls from here are very tasty and they seem to have a dash of cinnamon added to the batter. Not too greasy either. Only complaint is that there have been times recently (such as yesterday and today) where they don't answer the phone. Yesterday the phone just kept ringing and no one picked up. Today, it was just a busy tone and this was after 11:30 am when they state they are open. So, this lead us to ordering from a different Chinese restaurant in the area yesterday and today. read more
