I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager, Ellie, who told me the only solution was to drive back in the rain to pick them up. Ordered from Greek Chicken due to a family recommendation and we were very happy with our order. I placed the order online and arranged for a curbside pickup. We ordered two plates ans a side of hummus and got a huge amount of food that was enough for 4-6 meals. I ordered one fish plate, which was a huge portion including a side salad. The other meal was a gyro with a side of greek chicken, that also came with a huge salad. Each meal came with pita bread, but so did the hummus - so we had quite a lot and was happy for it. I love all of the Greek Chicken locations. The manager at this one is super friendly and so is the girl who took our order. It's very clean and I like that they offer outdoor seating. They changed the menu a bit... they used to have small, medium, and large salads and now they only offer small and large. Small is the size the medium was but if you don't know that you'd think it was pricey for a small salad. We ordered the small Greek chicken salad and the kids Greek chicken meal with fried zucchini. Their salads are EXCELLENT and they by far have the best ranch dressing and tzatziki than any other place I've tried. Chicken is always moist and they give good portion sizes. read more

Every time we are in El Cajon or Lakeside we stop at Greek Chicken. We invite our friends to meet us there and they do. The only place we can get a huge delicious salad, crisp lettuce, feta, tomatoes and olives! From there, we select either gyros, half or whole chicken, skewers, potato salad, lots of taziki sauce, iced tea and shakes. The staff is always helpful and pleasant. Flavors remind me of the fish and chips I get at the Del Mar Fair every year. Batter provides just enough saltiness to liven up the mild flavor from the cod. Fries had a crunchy outside and a creamy potato flavored inside. Excellent traditional fish and chips. Greek chicken is tender, juicy, and full of flavor. I imagine this is what El Pollo Loco chicken would taste like if you basted a bunch of lemon juice to the chicken. Vanilla sundae with a cherry on top was pretty good. Whipped cream and cherry gave the vanilla soft serve some nice additional flavors. Soft serve tasted a little like french vanilla. Better than what you find at most buffets but not as smooth and nicely flavored as Dairy Queen. Food came out quickly and the staff was friendly. This is a cool traditional fast food spot. Although this restaurant had been one if my favorites since moving to East County six months ago, I was very disappointed today. I stopped to pick up aggro sandwich. And baklava for my 20 hour train ride. The first disappointment was there was NO yogurt sauce for the sandwich. They might as well have left off the llamb since I consider the sauce to be a key ingredient. So I had to eat it dry. All together our order was about $20 for two gyros and one side order of fries, not even any drinks! For that price, we were really hoping to be wowed. Didn't hit the mark. We ordered a whole chicken dinner with onion rings, zucchini and pita bread. The portions were very generous and we had plenty of leftovers. I'll admit I was a bit leery because of my experience with Daphne's (they also serve greek chicken) just never really wanted to come back after eating their chicken. It was just okay and the spices were not a good combination. Upon sitting down, I was pleasantly greeted with very tender and delicious chicken, a great combination of spices! Onion rings just right, light batter with a nice subtle taste. Fried zucchini (a bit bigger than a french fry) spot on, cooked just enough with the same light batter. Pita bread tasted fresh made, very smooth and delicious. The ranch sauce tasted homemade. Yes I was feeling a bit guilty for not having any raw veggies....
