This was my first time eating from Greek Chicken. My boss ordered and paid for everyone's meal so I can't speak to the service or the prices, but I was blown away by the quality of the food. I had just equated Greek Chicken to fast food like McDonald's, but this was far better than any salad you'd ever get from McDonald's. The size is huge. There is a huge covid out break going on so Greek chicken why would you ask me to bring my food back to the restaurant The issue was I ordered a small chicken Greek salad with extra tomato No extra tomato almost less than reg amt But the issue was the chicken the chicken tasted like old reheated chicken when I called to speak with a manager the shift lead told me the manager wasn't there but I could bring my food back mind you I was 8 days out from testing positive otherwise there was nothing she could do not a hey let me have your name and number and we'll replace it I called back the next day because I was floored I was asked to bring the food back with a pandemic going on how many other have returned food there during this time how disgusting but as I called low and behold it's the same team lead saying the manager still isn't there but would talk to them and call back here it is two weeks later and nothing Greek chicken in lakeside lost a regular customer for sure read more

I love this place. My son and I come here at least once a month. The service is always fantastic and so is the food. The male manager here, is always so friendly and his staff so helpful. It's amazing to go to a place where the staff remembers you. The girl at the drive thur window was also so sweet. The dining room is still closed. I love this place. I literally could eat here every day. The chicken is good. The salads are so bomb the onion rings are bomb. I don't know what kind of oil salad dressing it is but it's so good. The people that work here are friendly and nice. They never forget anything. The place is a cool little spot to dine in at nothing extraordinary but the food is delicious. It never disappoints. The food was good and reasonably priced for premium take out. Service is horrible though, we ordered for pick up via GrubHub and when we got there they either lost our order or just didn't know what happened to it. I called to let them know we were outside and the lady that answered asked me my last name 4 times and still didn't know what happened to our order. Then a lady came out to deliver orders to the waiting curbside pick up and she was also very unhelpful in finding our order. They finally did get us our food but this place is not worth the whole ordeal with their customer service. We'll try the El Cajon location next time to see if we have better luck. read more

All the food was very good, nice salad portion, rice was moist and flavorful. Chicken kabob was hot and grilled nicely. Sauce was a little less tasty than I'm used to, not sure what was missing-but adequate. Pita bread was soft and warm but I am used to a little olive oil on it. My only complaint is that the price seemed a little high. Over $14 for my single kabob meal and a soda. Maybe throw the drink in for free with meals? I hate that healthy food is so much more than crappy food. Why is that? Such a bummer. I will still come back- fish dinner looks amazing! Pastrami looks addicting. Ever since Natcho left, the quality and service has gone down hill. Last time we were there with another couple. My husband ordered a cheeseburger. It came without the cheese. I ordered the kids white meat Greek chicken with zucchini. Instead of the chicken in two pieces, it was a bunch of chicken breast cut into small bits. I know we probably should have taken them back, but we didn't want to wait. Our friend ordered a lamb something, it's supposed to come with a sauce. Love the food, mostly on point. I have been a fan for many years now. Recently however the strict "policies" have taken away from my frequent visits. I swung through the drive through on a Monday after School for my 5 year old son who loves their ranch and pita. I asked to have the mustard sauce switched out for ranch and an extra ranch which I paid for and didn't receive. It was kinda a big deal to my son because we didn't get any ranch but I didn't call or go back. I visited wendnesday the same week for a salad and even brought my receipt in and requested the extra ranch, 1Ranch! And I was just about denied until I had to get unset..like really? Honestly its not about the ranch its about the shitty attitudes of 2/3 employee's that I wont return. Hopefully I receive a call back from the owner who wasn't there. Been here a couple times. I just order the small greek chicken salad with pita bread. Their small is huge and has a lot of chicken. The chicken is what separates their greek salad from others. I have been a regular for about a year now. I used to come every Friday for lunch and order the small Greek Chicken Salad. On one Friday, I came for dinner instead and I went through the drive-thru. When I got home, I was beyond disappointed with the quality of the salad. I have never had one so poorly put together. So, I took a picture of it and called the manager the following Monday to explain the situation and let the employee on the phone know that I had lost my receipt. After a few minutes trying to convince the employee I wasn't trying to scam her into a free salad like she mentioned, I just let her know that they lost a customer. Oh man, I love this chain. I've been to the one in Santee before but last night we went to this one in Lakeside. It has a drive thru but we walked in and ate there. There is plenty of seating and the tables are clean. You order at the counter and they had something that a kid and a vegetarian teen would like (and they can be picky). I had a delicious gyros salad and took home half to eat the next day since the portions are generous. The best thing on the menu are the zucchini fries. Trust me. I'm not even a fan of zucchini and those are amazing. Overall, everything here is good here and I just wish it was closer to me in La Mesa because I'd be going there all the time--it's that good. I use to eat at Greek Style Chicken 3 -4 times a month, but I stopped going because of the inconsistency. Portions, flavor, presentation, cost, all are inconsistent. I feel like with a little bit of effort by management this place could go back to it's original greatness. I love Gyros! This might be a chain restaurant, and not actually Greece, but close your eyes and ignore the fact that there are people staring at you because you look weird doing so, and you might actually think you're in Greece. Ok, not really, but trust me, the food is pretty good. I had two Gyros and a drink, and that was super-filling. The only gripe that I have is that the ice or the drink tasted funny, like you were drinking water out of the swimming pool or something, but don't let that deter you from getting anything eat. I really really wanted to have a banana shake, but their machine was down and the only thing they had for desert was a banana split. Regardless, the food was good, and the place was clean, and that's all I ask for. Give it a go, and try some Greek Chicken. read more
