Hidden away Babylon Greek restaurant has a nice, garden like dining room (hence the name of the place). The food is pretty average, gyro was ok and not greasy but the fries were too lightly done. Souvlaki was well made but served on top of a bland pilaf. Service was a tad slow but friendly and prices are very cheap. An ok place to come if you like Greek food. read more

Was tired of all the Japanese and Tex-Mex food in Babylon so went into the Greek Garden. Our server Valerie was very helpful in guiding us in our food selection. My daughter had the gyro lunch special that came with a soup and salad. I had the spinach pie with a salad. The food was on the table within 5 minutes of ordering and it was amazingly fresh and flavorful. Rather than the lentil soup we had the chicken lemon rice which is a Greek specialty. The salad was chopped into bite size portions which I was to my liking and easier to eat than big leafs. The food was so good that I ordered the baklava for dessert. Everything is made on premises. Food is on point. Service is on point. And they are fast. Old school Greek place. I normally always order take out but this was my second time dining in and I finally ordered the octopus appetizer. I highly suggest ordering it! It was delicious! I have a 1 and 4 year old and the owners were very nice to my kids. Brought crayons and a small plate a fries to keep them from going all toddler mode before the food comes out. Also gave my kids lollipops at the end of dinner. Thank you guys so much! I got a gyro here a year ago at this local eatery and I remember thoroughly enjoying it..seriously one of the best I've ever had. At that time this was a big local spot where locals were friendly with the waitstaff and the atmosphere was comfortable. I went here for the first time a few weeks ago. The meal was great. I had a Gyro Platter and my boyfriend had a typical Gyro. The meat was very flavorful and the texture was perfect. The salad was full of Feta! I took home my mother a Spinach Pie which she said was great even upon reheat. The meals come with sides of vegfies that are typical nothing extraordinary. One thing I was disappointed by was thw yogurt sauce. It was not typical Taziki but just plain yogurt but it was still a great topping for the meat. The atmosphere is casual and very friendly. The service is always great and so is the food. We usually come here at least once a week. Never have I been disappointed with anything I ordered and neither has my husband. If I could give this 1000 stars I would! This is one of the best restaurants that We have EVER been to. The food is fresh and delicious. We are visiting from Florida and came for breakfast,lunch and dinner. We had the Farmers omelette and eggs Florentine with a Belgian waffle. It was fantastic. For dinner we had seafood and chicken. The seafood was so fresh and full of flavor. It was so nice to see the owners recognize every person that came through and greeted them by name. I went to this restaurant for the first time the other night and the staff immediately treated me like a regular. They were so warm, inviting, friendly, and caring. The place is very cute and cozy and the food was AMAZING. I had to force myself to stop eating and pack the rest. The staff wore masks and observed social distancing. I felt extremely safe and comfortable. It seemed they were very busy with takeout as well. I envy anyone who gets to enjoy this restaurant's food and staff on a regular basis. I come here all the time for soup. I usually bring cash but I forgot this time. They have a $10 limit on credit/debit it was $8.00. I didn't have the cash and they let me take it without pay and come back and pay when I was able to. I went back the very next day as I working that evening and paid them. My husband and I split the hummus which was fresh, the chicken gyros were decent but lacking generous portions of chicken, and the fries were bland. Servers were friendly but not very attentive. I just moved to the area a few months ago. I have two favorite Greek places back where I'm from and new places I've tried in islip are good but not great. My lunch today was EXCELLENT. Absolutely loved my Greek salad. The dressing is perfect. The pita is perfect. The yogurt sauce is perfect. The chicken gyro was perfect. I love Greek salad because it's healthy and I actually crave it. It's the only salad I crave.
