A small door in the corner of the shopping center opens into a bright, airy space with large art on the walls, and well spaced tables with white tablecloths. It's what my little sister used to call a "cloth napkin place". The menu includes all the classics, with most entrées priced around $20, with a few specials higher. Bread and a simple salad, with olive oil and vinegar dressing are included. I tried the moussaka, which came with orzo (rice shaped) pasta. The flavors weren't as assertive as some, but all there and perfectly balanced. And while the portion didn't look that big, it was quite filling. To me, that indicates fresh, high quality ingredients. Cordial service, excellent value. A perfect spot if you want to go a bit upscale without blowing the budget. Very solid 4 stars. We picked this for a last minute Mothers Day lunch because we didn't expect to be able to go out with my Mom and she had limitationsz In short, this place seems good for the basics like a gyro platter which has great portions and crispy big fries. However, two of us ordered a daily special - and the stew was exactly two ingredients - the stew gravy ... and the meat. Plus, it was very mediocre. Additionally, the salad was hands down the saddest salad I've ever had in an establishment. The dressing was just olive oil and tasted exactly that. The bread was also some of the dullest I've ever been served. On the plus side, the dining area was spacious with peaceful decor. I had lunch with a friend at this Greek restaurant and I was surprised that it was located somewhere close to where I live. I didn't know it was here even though I passed it frequently. It's located in a shopping center on New Hampshire Avenue close to the intersection of Randolph Road so there's parking. It's nicely decorated inside and plenty of seating. I was promptly seated and a waitress came out with water for me and my friend. She was very polite and gave us the menu. A gentleman who could have been the owner came up and asked if we were ok. I ordered the Greek Gyro platter and my friend ordered the Gyro and fries. My platter was delicious and the fries were amazing. I work in the area and had no idea this lovely restaurant was here. It's located in a busy little shopping strip between the beer and wine store and the beauty supply store. You have the typical blue and white decor that you find in almost every Greek restaurant. There are pictures of Greece all around. We started our meal with the Village Bread which consist of four slices of herb-garlic bread. Our entrees were the Trio Platter and Lamb Chops. I've always considered a combo platter for those who were undecisive or just want to try everything. This dish had skewers of chicken souvlaki and pork souvlaki and sliced gyro. There was a stack of pita bread, fries, and tzatziki. Definitely a large portion of food that we had to take home as leftovers. Both souvlaki was cooked well and the meat was tender. The Lamb Chops were cooked at medium as requested. They were a little tough and I had expected the meat to be a little softer. But the seasoning was good. The lamb chops came with green beans and Greek potatoes. For dessert we tried the Galaktoboureko. It was like a burrito made of phyllo dough filled with a semolina orange custard and sprinkled with cinnamon on top and syrup. I didn't think the custard was very "orange-y" and wished I had ordered the baklava. But at least I tried something new. This seems to be the month of revisiting some restaurants that had fallen off our radar. Greek Village was one of them. Friends suggested meeting there for lunch and we readily agreed. The restaurant is spacious and clean. We were greeted by a really nice lady, possibly one of the owners, and taken to our seats by the window. On a Saturday afternoon the place was fairly quiet. While looking at the menu the others ordered a carafe of wine to share and I ordered a cocktail. For our meals one friend ordered a lamb dish, the other a turnover type, Rich had a fish dish and I chose the Village Salad. Sorry I don't know the official names of the others dishes! My salad was delicious and a very generous portion. It was just what I love in a salad, cucumbers, tomatoes, olives and feta. It was enough to share with Rich. When we were finished we were brought dessert menus but we were full and had to pass. The men did order Greek coffee served in a demi tasse and very dark and strong. I sipped on a Grand Marnier, yum. It was a very pleasant meal. The food was good, everyone enjoyed their meal, and the service spot on. We are definitely putting Greek Village back on our lunch rotation. read more

Was there with a group of friends yesterday..The waitress took our orders.. I was sitting at the table way before the rest of the friends came. All the orders were placed. Everyone got their order except me and another friend... Friends were finishing their meals and I got nothing.. THIS is unexceptable. The waitress didn't even come out to check on us .. I flag down another waitress and said I didn't get my meal. The original waitress comes out and ask what I order. My meal comes out finally while my other 16 friends already ate theirs. My wife and I really like The Greek Village despite that there is always something lacking here. In the door its a very spacious, clean and bright restaurant. Service- They really could step it up a lot. Your seated, they take your order and you won't see your server again until its time for your check, you almost need to send up a flare to get someone to your table and its all the time. My wife had the Chicken Slovakia which was undercooked( pink in the middle) I ordered the Baby Lamb Chops wish came with a salad, potatoes and green beans (see picture) the chops were good, great flavor, cooked as I like them but they were tough. The potatoes were also cooked well and seasoned nicely. The beans were straight from a can. The salad was fresh and cold but had ZERO FLAVOR. The food is consistently good and plentiful at this Greek restaurant. It's not modern or exciting or extra special. Rather, it's traditional and on the heavy side for Mediterranean fare. I'd label it "comfort food" for sure. The restaurant itself is the same - blue and white with scenes of Greece on the walls - typical of most Greek places. It's clean and quiet and pleasant. Likewise, the service is consistently good. My family and I have been coming here for years (at least a decade if I'm being honest). I enjoy this restaurant for its intimate, family-oriented vibes. This is our go-to spot for Greek and default choice for "something different." My usual is the spanakopita entree, which comes with a generous side of rice pilaf and a salad (you can also swap out the salad for a soup). The avgolemono soup is a family favorite! It's better to order the spanakopita when dining in, as it didn't retain its crispy filo exterior when ordered to-go. Another dish I enjoy is the gyro platter, which is super filling. The meat is tender and appropriately salty as one would expect for gyro meat. It also comes with a salad, pita bread, and French fries - a platter indeed! I can get two meals out of it. Our carryout order had all the necessary fixings - house dressing for the salad, tzatziki sauce for the gyro, ketchup for the fries, and even included bread and butter. This place immediately was great. The second you walk in, without knowing the name of the restaurant you can tell it's Greek. Decor makes it look like it's straight from Greece, and it looks so pretty. The people were very kind and they let us take our time to order. The food however, is my fav part. I got the chicken kebab, and it tasted so good with a slight tang and it was so tender. Fries and pita bread tasted great, and the meals my friends had gotten had all been rated greatly! The food was delivered fairly quickly after ordering online and the delivered order was accurate as requested with modifications (no olives). The portion for a $14 salad is quite small. The salad tasted okay, was only somewhat fresh and satisfying, so I would not recommend based on the taste and the price tag of this one item. Their Greek salad was one of the best I've had in the area. It was fresh and came with a grape leaf and pita on the side. I thoroughly enjoyed it for lunch. It's more of a 2.5 rather than a 3 but I rounded up due to the super nice busboy who works there. The dining room is actually pretty nice and they can serve up parties larger than 8 so it's ideal if you're planning to bring a large group for dining. The restaurant is located in a strip mall next to giant so there's plenty of parking. We had a Greek guest in our party who stated the food was okay. Not the best, but okay. The portions are large though especially for the gyro platter but avoid the trio platter and anything with skewers or pork. It was so dry and tasteless, would not recommend at all. The same goes for the salad. The free bread was stale and cheap; do not recommend eating it. We liked the the Athenian chicken, calamari, and moussaka. Our waitress took her time when helping us out and it wasn't ideal but the busboy man was super nice! This restaurant is beautiful, it's very authentic greek. Since the restaurant is kind of hidden behind it's small front, it's usually relatively empty which is nice because it's quiet and you don't sit close to other tables. The food is incredibly flavorful. I've had the chicken souvlaki platter, gyro platter, Octabpodaki Stakarvouna (octopus), and Kalamarakia (fried calamari). The food is very delicious and filling, the price is also very fair. The staff is welcoming and attentive every time we go. Definitely recommend! read more

I ordered Gyro platters and Domlades from here via Uber Eats. The dolmades were easily some of the best I'd had recently -- well wrapped, kept together very well, and had just the right mix of sour bite and savoury. The gyro platters were incredibly good -- the meat was flavourful, well done, and lots of it. Indeed, if I were to complain about anything, it would be that the gyro platter (which is basically an unassembled gyro with fries and a salad) didn't have enough pita to cover all the meat they gave you. I think that's like complaining that you got an extra $20 from the ATM, though. (seriously, if that's a problem, I'll be glad to take the extra $20 for you, and use it to buy more gyros). I've lived here for years now, and somehow have missed this place -- what a shame! They're delicious, and very reasonably priced. read more

My first visit was lunch on a Sunday. A good time to go , not too crowded. We tried an appetizer made with grape leaves. It was good. I had the Athenian Chicken entree. It comes with a house salad, potatoes and chicken that is dipped in egg and lightly breaded. The dish has a lemon sauce that was outstanding! The chicken was cooked to perfection as it was tender and moist. The meal came with bread. The staff was attentive and patient with those of us who aren't familiar with the cuisine. read more

Came here on a Sunday evening with my mom. I ordered the last of the four dips (spicy peppers and feta cheese) because it said spicy. It was tasty but not at all spicy. (3.5/5 stars) For my meal, I ordered the Chicken Skewers Platter. The 2 skewers came with French fries, Greek Salad, pita bread (5/5 stars) There was so much food, I took it home for several meals this week! My mom ordered the shrimp platter. She normally comes here with friends and ate the dish before. She commented that the tomatoes tasted reheated and the shrimp were not as large as before. (4/5 stars) (I reminded her how we said we would not go out to eat on a Sunday night for that reason- oftentimes restaurants are wrapping up the weekend so the food isn't as fresh.) I heard this restaurant was good so when I went there for Father's Day I expected it to be good and it was very good I got the lamb shank and it was amazing but first the decor. Since it was a Greek restaurant the decor was on point paintings,wall art, and even the walls. The salad came with my meal and I'm glad this place has salad that makes me go oh yeah. The bread was pretty hard to break apart but that's my only complaint. The lamb was phenomenal it had good texture good taste and the sauce yum Gordon Ramsey would be proud (maybe) it came with pasta and the only thing I can say is delicious. The desert aka the galaktoboureko was in my opinion not that good I mean my family loved it but me nah so if you like custard I guess you would like it.
