Still solid. More like a 3+. Service was good. I had the chicken piccata without a side salad (The Office reference). It was good. The bread is great. The desserts were good though I thought the tiramisu should have been bigger.

Stellar service. Cannot say more nice things about how friendly and attentive everyone is. I wasn't as big of a fan when it came to the food, but would definitely come back in case I ordered the wrong dishes. We had the Veal Marsala and the Zuppa Di Pesce Pasta. The Veal Marsala was tougher to cut, but still tender when you ate it. The mushrooms and the side of tomato-based spaghetti were average. The Zuppa Di Pesce Pasta was savory and I loved the abundance of seafood, but it felt like something may have been missing to push it to the next level.

This restaurant's hygiene is absolutely shocking! Finding a bug in my salad was already disgusting, but what's even worse--I found a large fingernail in my creamy pasta. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about food safety. When we brought this issue to the manager's attention, their attitude was terrible. Instead of handling the situation professionally, they were dismissive and showed no genuine concern. No sincere apology, no proper resolution--just a complete lack of responsibility. We were very angry about the attitude and the manager asked us to pay the check and GET OUT!? With such poor hygiene and awful customer service, I strongly recommend avoiding this place!

I originally went to a Thst's Amore restaurant location about 15 years ago in Columbia that has since closed down. The meals were good back then. It has been off my radar since then and until I just came across this Rockville location so I decided to give it a try. That's Amore's interior is old school and could be your grandfather's restaurant. It could use some sprucing up. The lunch service was good and the meal was quite nice as I ordered their salmon for the entree and finished with a delicious bread pudding dessert that was marvelous

i came here with my parents and husband on a thursday evening and it was surprisingly empty...only a few occupied tables in our section and a few customers at the bar. our waiter was very friendly and prompt and took our drink orders right away, followed by appetizers, and entrees. he came and checked on us several times throughout the meal. we ordered the following to share: +brussel sprouts: these were cut in half, tossed with glazed balsamic vinegar, cilantro and parsley. i love brussel sprouts, but these were amazing, some sweet and salty seasonings, roasted for a long time, to have that added crunch. could not put these down! +stuffed mushrooms: fresh mushrooms, with a blend of vegetables and italian cheeses. this was delightful not too heavy, with a wonderful marriage of flavors inside. they also gave us a basket of warm focaccia bread which we dipped into olive oil...or in my case, into my salad dressing. for our main, mom and i shared the spring mixed green salad: tomato, cucumber, red onion, olives, carrots, peppers, topped with their catch of the day, rockfish. they actually split this onto two plates for us. the salad was not super fresh, some of the veggies were a little soft, but the fish was excellent, grilled and seasoned well. my husband ordered the spaghetti bolognese, and dad ordered the flat iron steak with mashed potatoes and mixed veggies. both enjoyed their entrees with some leftovers as well. unfortunately this table had a wobbly leg, and we felt the effects of that throughout the meal. our waiter tried to rectify this situation, but the table was still a bit wobbly...we kinda gave up after a few minutes and made the best of our situation. restrooms were clean, with multiple stalls, but i could tell they were old, esp the locks on the doors, probably need replacing. still one of my family's favourite go to restaurants, we'll definitely be back again in the future!

That's Amore Restaurant. The nail in the dish.

Absolutely unacceptable. Found a FINGERNAIL in our pasta and a BUG in our salad. When we informed the manager, instead of apologizing or addressing the issue, he was RUDE and told us to leave. This place has serious food safety and hygiene issues. Avoid at all costs. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

Pic of Marilyn Monroe - unfortunately a bit of glare pin the pic

That's Amori restaurant Meal was very good! For appetizers, we had caprese and bruschetta. Both were excellent. They make their own ciabatta which was outstanding w the olive oil. For dinner, we had pizza and fettuccine. The pizza could have used a bit more mozzarella. Fettuccine was very good. Service was very courteous and ambience was great - not too crowded since we went relatively early

The entrees were very good. The salmon had a nice char, but was moist and flavorful. If you like salmon with a sauce, you'll be disappointed. I like mine simple, and this is a well-prepared salmon. The shrimp (3 large) were good. The spinach had a nice garlic flavor and the asparagus was well prepared - not mushy. The chicken Marsala also was good. The Marsala was light (not thick) and somewhat sweet. Very good. Honestly, the bread service was pretty disappointing. Our last visit the bread was fine, but this basket was pretty dried out and almost seemed stale. The oil accompanying the bread had almost no cheese in it. Essentially, you dipped tasteless bread into oil. Really disappointing. I'm not going to reduce my overall restaurant score for this one thing (because the entrees were very good), but the bread service was not good. The service was good.

We ordered several plates, which arrived rather quickly. The homemade hummus with the carrots and pickled onions was fantastic. We'd take creamy and delicious hummus like that any day. The deviled eggs were wonderful and came with an extra kick thanks to the jalapeno. Gnocchi with parmesan, carrots, and asparagus was creamy, comforting, and filling. The lamb over hummus, with their rich homemade gravy, rivaled any amazing lamb dish I had anywhere. The portions were phenomenal. I have been to places that give half as much with the same prices. After negotiations, we ended up with the following: Goat cheese stuffed fig appetizer White lasagna w/ shrimp and crab (one of the specials) w/ roasted veggies. Italian style paella For drinks, my husband got the blueberry margarita and I followed instructions to "ask about our creative mocktails", and ended up with a superlative strawberry no-jito. (It was REALLY good. I want another one. Now. Hub's drink was also tasty but I liked mine better.) Of all the dishes, my favorite was the Italian style paella. Tons of perfectly cooked seafood in a delicious broth with angel hair. Liht and delicious. The white lasagna was also delish but the dominant flavor was the mozzarella; the seafood didn't come through as much with this one. But I absolutely loved the roasted vegetables it came with. Sometimes the simple dishes are the best. The figs were quite tasty, it's hard to go wrong with goat cheese. I think I get dates and figs confused because they weren't quite what I expected but I enjoyed them. The service was friendly and pretty fast. I'm used to a little bit of bread with Italian food so it didn't occur to me to do so but I would have loved to sop up some of the delicious broth from the paella with it.

While the service was friendly, the timing of the food was slower than expected. I was also disappointed to learn that the Tri Color Cheese Tortellini had been removed from the menu, as it had always been one of my favorite dishes here. The CT's Famous Grilled Caesar Salad is still a solid starter. We also enjoyed the Crispy Thin White Pizza, and I liked that it was presented flat rather than stacked, unlike the version at Amalfi Ristorante. That presentation allowed the toppings and crust to shine, while still offering its own distinct flavor. I'd also love to see the Tortoni dessert make a return, even if it's only offered as an occasional special. It was a memorable way to end a meal and would be a nice nostalgic addition to the menu. Overall, the food was enjoyable, but between the longer wait despite mentioning our schedule and the removal of a couple of favorite menu items, this visit didn't quite match the experiences I've had here in the past.
