    Veal Marsala
    Jacqueline K.

Stellar service. Cannot say more nice things about how friendly and attentive everyone is. I wasn't as big of a fan when it came to the food, but would definitely come back in case I ordered the wrong dishes. We had the Veal Marsala and the Zuppa Di Pesce Pasta. The Veal Marsala was tougher to cut, but still tender when you ate it. The mushrooms and the side of tomato-based spaghetti were average. The Zuppa Di Pesce Pasta was savory and I loved the abundance of seafood, but it felt like something may have been missing to push it to the next level.

This restaurant's hygiene is absolutely shocking! Finding a bug in my salad was already disgusting, but what's even worse--I found a large fingernail in my creamy pasta. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about food safety. When we brought this issue to the manager's attention, their attitude was terrible. Instead of handling the situation professionally, they were dismissive and showed no genuine concern. No sincere apology, no proper resolution--just a complete lack of responsibility. We were very angry about the attitude and the manager asked us to pay the check and GET OUT!? With such poor hygiene and awful customer service, I strongly recommend avoiding this place!

That's Amore Restaurant. The nail in the dish.

Absolutely unacceptable. Found a FINGERNAIL in our pasta and a BUG in our salad. When we informed the manager, instead of apologizing or addressing the issue, he was RUDE and told us to leave. This place has serious food safety and hygiene issues. Avoid at all costs. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

i came here with my parents and husband on a thursday evening and it was surprisingly empty...only a few occupied tables in our section and a few customers at the bar. our waiter was very friendly and prompt and took our drink orders right away, followed by appetizers, and entrees. he came and checked on us several times throughout the meal. we ordered the following to share: +brussel sprouts: these were cut in half, tossed with glazed balsamic vinegar, cilantro and parsley. i love brussel sprouts, but these were amazing, some sweet and salty seasonings, roasted for a long time, to have that added crunch. could not put these down! +stuffed mushrooms: fresh mushrooms, with a blend of vegetables and italian cheeses. this was delightful not too heavy, with a wonderful marriage of flavors inside. they also gave us a basket of warm focaccia bread which we dipped into olive oil...or in my case, into my salad dressing. for our main, mom and i shared the spring mixed green salad: tomato, cucumber, red onion, olives, carrots, peppers, topped with their catch of the day, rockfish. they actually split this onto two plates for us. the salad was not super fresh, some of the veggies were a little soft, but the fish was excellent, grilled and seasoned well. my husband ordered the spaghetti bolognese, and dad ordered the flat iron steak with mashed potatoes and mixed veggies. both enjoyed their entrees with some leftovers as well. unfortunately this table had a wobbly leg, and we felt the effects of that throughout the meal. our waiter tried to rectify this situation, but the table was still a bit wobbly...we kinda gave up after a few minutes and made the best of our situation. restrooms were clean, with multiple stalls, but i could tell they were old, esp the locks on the doors, probably need replacing. still one of my family's favourite go to restaurants, we'll definitely be back again in the future!

I originally went to a Thst's Amore restaurant location about 15 years ago in Columbia that has since closed down. The meals were good back then. It has been off my radar since then and until I just came across this Rockville location so I decided to give it a try. That's Amore's interior is old school and could be your grandfather's restaurant. It could use some sprucing up. The lunch service was good and the meal was quite nice as I ordered their salmon for the entree and finished with a delicious bread pudding dessert that was marvelous

Pic of Marilyn Monroe - unfortunately a bit of glare pin the pic

That's Amori restaurant Meal was very good! For appetizers, we had caprese and bruschetta. Both were excellent. They make their own ciabatta which was outstanding w the olive oil. For dinner, we had pizza and fettuccine. The pizza could have used a bit more mozzarella. Fettuccine was very good. Service was very courteous and ambience was great - not too crowded since we went relatively early

White Magnolia Milk Tea - Floral without being perfumey or too sharp! Pretty good balance of tea to milk ratio and reminds me of molly tea. 4/5 Jasmine Milk Tea - honestly pretty good too. feels like a molly tea knock off with the menu offerings, cup designs and even flavor profile. its slightly too sharp but still good. 3.75/5 Da Hong Pao Milk Tea - the tea flavor is there but it doesn't mix as well as the magnolia or jasmine. I think they are better at more floral teas but this wasnt bad. 2/5 Banana Pudding Matcha - Banana flavor was not strong, it was not sweet when it should have definitely been more sweet and the flavors just didnt mix very well 0.5/5 Portugese Tart - pretty good but nothing too memorable 2.75/5

The tofu steam bun -- easily my favorite lunch item in the area -- really didn't work. It's still an interesting experience but I really can't recommend a place I now avoid. --- PROS - Interesting selection, interesting food, lots of options, overall friendly staff. - Bathrooms were clean. The interior of the restaurant seemed like a good meeting/date spot. Although they had Wifi, I wouldn't call this a great place to come and study or get work done, although I saw people doing that. I've had the Vietnamese coffee twice, the first time was great, the second time was just okay. Food items are very unique, so much so I didn't like some of them but I still enjoyed the experience. Try something that sounds weird, it's half the fun of coming in here. CONS * Allergies - it wasn't clear what all everything was made with so if you're trying to avoid gluten or peanuts or eggs, I didn't see much on ingredients. I know for some people that's a red flag. * The tea. We just thought it was above average but not amazing. I mean its right in the name, come on. * Collecting items - you gotta look for the little trays and the salad tongs. That's what you use to grab stuff out of the cases. I know for most people that was super obvious but it wasn't for me. * Summertime note: during the hotter months I've noticed they seem to have some issues with keeping things cool.

Very date‑night worthy, and lots of couples doing sweet couple things. I love... love. This was lovely to see; old couples, new couples, couples who look like they met on the walk over. Love is beautiful. Let's get into it! I did not want to do the brownie cookie sandwich, but my new big‑back friend said I could and should, so I did. Don't threaten me with a good treat. I will crumble faster than the cookie. The ice cream choices complement all things ice cream sandwich. Truly no wrong choices just great ice cream flavors for the best ice cream sandwich or bowl! There's seating inside, but the seating area is pretty small and some people were at tables looking like they weren't going anywhere anytime soon. It was a nice morning, so we were able to grab an outside picnic table. The service was decent. One disappointment was when the counter person asked me if I wanted room for cream in my coffee, I said yes and asked if they had nondairy products. She said they had almond and soy. I asked for soy and she returned with my drink. When I went to pay, I saw they charged 79 cents for almond, soy and oatmilk. Ok. Here's the thing. I assume it's on the board and I should have looked, but she also could have mentioned it. Also, charging for these items when they put a little in your coffee leaves me feeling like I'm being abused for not being a dairy person. I get it - it's a pastry shop and the items are buttery and rich from cream. But please - 79 cents for a little soy milk? (I know this isn't uncommon for coffee shops, but it doesn't make it right.). And the coffee ($4.25) was decent - not great. I expected better (richer, more flavorful) coffee from a nice pastry shop like this. Anyway, it's a nice neighborhood place and there's a lot of treats there.
