I decided to try Green Bliss. I've heard such great things about this place from my cousin who came last week so I decided to see what the hype was about (: As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a warm smile and a friendly Good morning. Alright off to the right start. It was my first time here so I wasn't sure what to get. The cashier was quick to help me out and give me suggestions, which honestly made me feel more at ease. They have such a variety of food and drinks, everything sounded great! I was recommended the Vegan Tacos and a Hawaiian Berry iced tea. So that's what I ordered and oh my gosh, seriously it was the best thing I have ever tasted. Everything was so fresh and had so much flavor! After my meal, my plate literally sat on my table for 30 seconds before my plate was picked up by a really nice lady (turned out to be one of the new owners) who asked me about my meal and how my day was going. I really appreciated that. A couple minutes later I decided to try their coffee and dessert. As if this place couldn't get any better, the girl who made my drink was so knowledgeable, even better the coffee she made me was probably the freshest and most delicious coffee I've ever had. Sorry Starbucks. Overall, I give this place 5 stars! Due to the fact that customer service here is BEYOND AMAZING (such friendly people), the food is INCREDIBLY GOOD and to top it off I've never been to a place where the owners are so genuine and caring! Tried this restaurant on Friday for the first time. We really appreciated finding a place that had vegan brunch options. Very cute place with a nice courtyard area out back where you could eat outside. I got the BLT with avocado and coconut bacon. It had really good flavor and was a generous portion, but the coconut bacon was so fragmented that it was really hard for it to stay in the sandwich. Anytime you took a bite, it would all fall out. It might be better for the chef to consider substituting mushroom or tofu bacon for ease of eating. In addition, the side salad - although tasty - was dressed with such a spicy dressing that I could barely eat it. I don't know why it had to be so spicy; it did not seem like an appropriate complement to the sandwich. My son ordered the crêpes. Honestly for the price, I expected three decent-sized crêpes to be served, but instead the dish arrived with two very skinny crêpes. In contrast to my dish, it was paltry. I ended up giving him half of my sandwich so that he would not go hungry. We both ordered vegan vanilla lattes which were good. Unfortunately, this very basic brunch for two cost us just over $50. You don't mind paying a lot when everything is good, but when it leaves something to be desired, you feel taken advantage of. Doubtful we'll be going back. read more

Joined a friend here for lunch and we enjoyed our visit. This is a casual coffee house and café with a small vegetarian and vegan menu breakfast/lunch menu. We tried it out a few weeks ago and there were some wins. Service was friendly. We were unrushed so did not have a problem with service wait times. We tried the soup of the day which was Potato Lentil...it was delicious! I was so looking forward to trying their other daily soups but found out they only serve them in the Winter season and have replaced soups with Acai bowls for Spring/Summer-will have to try one of those instead. My friend ordered a potato rosemary vegan flatbread with cashew cheese, she did not much care for it but she loved the soup as did I. I also ordered a Kale Salad which came with a lovely tasting tahini dressing which I could not get enough of...it was the perfect compliment to the Kale and the salad was dressed perfectly. Had been wanting to try this place for a long time and when I did it was beyond disappointed. Food took 30 minutes to come out and was cold by the time we got it. Their banana and strawberry smoothie has an excellent ratio of both ingredients. The non vegan bagel ingredients had some difficulties staying within their bagel confines once a bite was taken. The vegan bagel breakfast was sooo good. So fresh and light. Yum! There was a little bit of a wait, but the food is fresh and made to order, not frozen and ready to go. Wait was well worth it! Tomatoes could have been more ripe, and there could have been less pepper on the potatoes and more pepper on the avocado, but really, not a deal breaker. Came here famished and hankering for breakfast. I had been here before and just ordered a nondescript latte but this was my first time ordering breakfast. My comrade and I ordered the same meal: the Farmer's Sandwich but we differed on our drinks. He ordered the 'You're Welcome' white tea and I ordered a seasonal goodie gingerbread latte. The sandwich was bomb. It's eggs, curds, roasted potatoes (thinly sliced), tomato, all on rye bread. I feel like rye bread is underutilized because this bread was so good. It made me sad that I rarely eat this type of bread. The eggs were a fluffy masterpiece, potatoes were roasted to perfection, and the tomato was seasoned with salt and pepper (amazing detail!). My latte was pretty heckin' good too. I can't remember what kind of milk it was made with, but it was either almond or soy. It's not an artificial tasting gingerbread like a certain chain makes (and I also love, no hate here) it's just this one isn't as sweet as one would expect. I'll definitely be back. Imagine my horror when I moved to Fullerton for grad school and the only available option for coffee in a 30 mild radius was Starbucks. For the last 2 years I've lived here, I've daydreamed about my old Seattle haunts and wished for a decent latte I wouldn't have to drive to LA for... And then last week, the lovely owner of Green Bliss walked out to the sidewalk where I was standing and handed my husband a cappuccino. From the look on his face, i knew I needed to get myself inside and order my soy latte immediately. And it was GOOD. Really good. Today I went back and ordered another. It was a Saturday morning, I rolled in with my twin boys and wife Kris. It's hard to go out and try new places when you got newborn twins, so this was a treat. My expectations are high.. so here we go. I am here for one main thing, to try their pour over coffee. I was pumped to be served a new style of coffee. If you're trying to figure this place out.. they are not just a coffee place. They have a decent menu for breakfast and lunch. I ordered the Breakfast of Champions with a pour over coffee and Kris got the mushroom bread pudding with a decaf coffee (hey, she's nursing my boys, so back off!) There was a nice list of the coffee beans they were offering. They usually have a great list from local roasters like Rose Parks from Long Beach to Klatch Coffee from Upland. I got a cup of the Klatch since they ran out of the Rose Parks. Quick tip: Just because you ordered food, doesn't mean they bring your coffee to you. You still need to pick it up in the counter... just a heads up. the COFFEE: The Klatch was awesome. I took a sip before adding any sugar or cream. Silky and strong. This place will NOT have SPLENDAS or EQUAL so don't even ask... They have raw sugar with an organic creamer if I remember correctly. It's the cleanest coffee I tasted in a while. Extremely satisfied! I killed every single drop. Loved it and will come back for their coffee any day.. the FOOD: Kris' mushroom bread pudding was a split. I liked it but Kris thought it was just OK, mainly because of the price of $8. I liked the whole thing. It's heavy so be prepared. My sandwich was served on the flakiest croissant with a soft and fluffy egg topped with onions and tomatoes. Bomb! I inhaled this thing. It's 5 bucks, so it ain't huge. I will need to come back for lunch to try that popular Kale salad. We also ordered a Bear Claw... it looks like an almond roll from Pain du Monde just a way smaller version. It was GOOD not great... but it could be! For $3.50, they can make this thing a little bigger. It was a little hard and cold too. If they served it warm, I would be ordering this every time. The place is situated off the strip in DTF... but it fits this place. Surrounded by bars and fatty diners, this place stands out but it's not screaming for attention. They are low key but you know that every inch of this place has been well thought out. I love the communal table in the back. Since we had a double stroller, we sat in the courtyard located in the back... It's a beautiful space. Come in the morning, it's quieter. Great place for an iPad and coffee session. FREE WiFi is a standard here as well. Servers seemed ok.. it was a little slow for a small coffee/cafe shop. Our cashier was friendly. I told her it was my first time there. Usually, this is the cue for employees to chat up what's popular in the menu.. but she was subdued. No worries.. Also, the barista I dealt with was by himself at the time and was very busy... so yeah, he wasn't into chatting it up either. Totally understand. What a little gem in the middle of Fullerton! I walked in from the front off a pretty busy street and upon entering, I am able to walk all the way to the back into a tranquil courtyard with a serene fountain dripping away. Bliss is truly how you feel. I didn't realize this was a vegetarian cafe, but after trying the offerings, I was in NO way missing my meat. Went in today to try a iced chai and my brother got the iced mocha. When we got there everyone was really nice and upfront about having to wait for ice. Honestly the wait was worth it. This has to be the best chai I had and my brother loved the iced mocha!! The chai was not the instant powder either it's a homemade chai with a hint of ginger. I love ginger!! I think I've found my new favorite place to eat in downtown Fullerton. I've bookmarked Green Bliss after reading a well written review but haven't had the chance to visit until recently. We had the garlic mushroom flat bread and avo-campania panini. The panini was comprised of avocado, mushrooms, pesto, and artichokes. Yum! It also came with a side of spinach salad tossed in a balsamic vinaigrette. The flat bread was hearty, healthy, warm, gooey and delicious! Between the two, I thought the flat bread was better perhaps because the garlic added an extra flavor profile. The place itself is quaint. There plenty of seating inside and out although I wouldn't suggest coming in large groups. The place is nicely appointed and modern. Parking is easy. There's a free parking structure next to the building. Interestingly, they have a digital rewards program where they email you the receipt. If you spend $5 or more you get a stamp. Once you get 10 stamps, you get $5 off your next meal. Cool! Definitely coming back and trying other items on their menu. read more

I wish that there were more places like Green Bliss around. They have good food, they're environmentally conscious, and they accommodate vegetarians, vegans, and gluten-free dieters. I finally had the opportunity to try Green Bliss when I was in the area for work. I didn't know what to expect beyond a vegetarian menu. Their menu is basically divided among salad, panini, and flatbread options. I almost went with a salad until I noticed the avocado "B"LT, or what some veggie places call a FLAT ("Fakin", Lettuce, Avocado, and Tomato). Their version of fakin is a coconut bacon that they say is made in-house. If you've ever had Phoney Baloney's coconut bacon, it's quite similar (that place is no more but they make and sell their product to restaurants). My sandwich was fresh, flavorful, and came with a side salad that was quite tasty. Green Bliss has an extensive coffee menu, indoor and outdoor seating, and free wifi. I would favorably compare them to Gypsy Den in terms of atmosphere and menu selections. I hope that I get to try Green Bliss for breakfast sometime. They are now my go-to place in DTF. read more

This has to be my favorite cafe in DTF. I used to go to Tranquil Tea Lounge quite often, but got really sick of drinking tea because it only made the coffee addict in me super cranky, and I never liked going to the Night Owl because it was ALWAYS jam-packed with teenagers and the WiFi was as unreliable as the Fox 11 News, and Starbucks is just loud and cold and loud and cold. Anyway, the WiFi is free and it works every time. Also, the cafe au lait is what I always get and it's not too strong, not too bland. Just right. I also tried the drip and it was amazeballs; definitely kept me wired for the remainder of the day. I want to also try every single dish at this cafe, but the ones I did try which was the kale salad and the mushroom bread pudding... both were divine! Ooh, and try the chocolate croissant. It may have been because it was that time of the month for me, but I gobbled that sucker up and was left with chocolate goo all over my mouth. SO WORTH IT. Another thing I really appreciate is that there are a lot of attractive hipsters here. Love staring at what they wear and taking note, because I am such a hipster-wannabe. The staff is very friendly, and I just love the feel of this cafe in general. It's not loud at all in here either, and you can actually get shit done without having to plug your ears with headphones. I've said it before, but this cafe is cute. I still appreciate all their organic, vegan, gluten-free offerings - though I still have yet to try a lot of them. Unfortunately, they now officially got rid of ALL croissants altogether. Yup, you can't even get the subpar chocolate ones I mentioned in my last update anymore... sheesh, just can't seem to win :( On top of that, their coffee is absolutely disgusting! I'm talking horrific. I ordered a decaf latte with their homemade nut milk, which I envisioned would taste creamy and smooth. But instead, I was met with a crazy sour taste - I mean, coffee shouldn't taste more sour than lemonade, right?! I tried my hardest to take a second sip, but simply couldn't bear to drink the whole thing. Finally, I asked for a replacement and the male barista (don't know his name) told me he could either re-make it with regular coffee or I could purchase something else. His latter suggestion kind of irked me, considering I had already paid over $5 for something and he wasn't even willing to replace it with something else, even though I would have gladly paid the difference (or gladly taken a refund for the difference, assuming the new item would be cheaper). In the interest of time and for the sake of ease, I asked him to re-make the latte with regular coffee and still with homemade nut milk. After 20 minutes went by or so, he finally gave me my new latte. I tried it and it was just as disgusting as the first! Still incredibly sour and burnt-tasting. I'm not sure if they just don't pay attention when they're brewing coffee or what, but at this point... they didn't even seem willing to do anything more for me, so I just let it go. But as a consumer, I definitely don't feel great about having to throw away two cups of coffee and wasting my money - simply because this place just can't get it right. Green Bliss is a great place for those who are vegan and I'm glad this place is super close to my house. Since I have been back for the summer time my relatives have also came around to visit. My relatives are vegan so this place was a good spot to hit up. I yelped this place and saw all the amazing photos so I said we have to try this place out and see for myself if it would be good and amazing. Yes they have done something great here and we came in for lunch time and it was pretty busy but we scored one of the two tables with the umbrellas outside! Super happy and my aunt loved the patio area with a pond and a nice courtyard. It was fun and honestly just peaceful and relaxing. Since we came here for lunch they stopped serving the breakfast options at 11:00AM. So just a heads up if you wanted to try the breakfast menu. Either way I loved the lunch and I want to come back and try the breakfast. What we ordered: 1. Kickin Kale Salad- my only thing with the salad is that I loved the dressing yes and all the fresh veggies but I think they added just a tad bit too much but I still enjoyed it! 2. Tommy's Special Flatbread- I only ordered this just because of the name and it also had my favorite veggies mushrooms. Yum the pesto sauce was super tasty. 3. Me and My husband have been coming to green bliss almost every week for about two years now (since we were just boyfriend and girlfriend) . They are the sweetest, always remember our order, and are very friendly. Great vegan options, including a curried chickpea sandwich (I recommend no mayo), and even vegan Affogato!! All of the staff are fantastic and Richard always greets us and takes time to talk and catch up with us. Green Bliss you have officially turned me into a kale girl. I've always loved salad but never as much as the kickin' kale salad here. The kale has a great crunchy texture with ridges that perfectly house the bright ginger tahini dressing and creamy chunks of avocado. I ordered the avo-campania panini and paid a little extra for the kale salad instead of the green bliss salad. Prices are kind of steep for a casual lunch. My total was about $12 but the food was incredible. Everyone raves about the avo-campania but a very understated sammie is the curried chickpea salad panini! I'm really glad my friend ordered it so we could go halvesies because I ended up liking it so much more! It's one of the few cold sandwiches that I actually enjoy (though the bread is toasted). Unfortunately, it seemed like today was a busy day for them because I think the kitchen ran out of a lot of their ingredients so we ended up with sourdough bread for both our paninis instead of the flaxseed and marble rye. The paninis were delicious regardless! It did take a little while for our food to come out. Luckily I wasn't in any rush or at the point of cranky hungry so my good mood wasn't spoiled. I also didn't see many pastries in their glass case which I was hoping to take to go but maybe I'll stop by earlier in the day some other time. After today, Green Bliss is now one of my favorite places to eat in SoCal. It is has every element of a place that I'd want to be my daily lunch stop: cute, homey, cafe bistro decor, a nice, inviting atmosphere perfect to study or catch up with good friends, and delicious, quality, and healthy food! As numerous previous reviews have mentioned, this cafe is f*cking cute. Decor is clean and modern, but still very homey. They have outdoor seating too, which I always go for...I mean, it was a beautiful, breezy summer day in SoCal, how could I not?? The menu...it was so simple, yet I had such a hard time deciding what to order, everything sounded so delicious! I ended up getting the savory mushroom bread pudding and an iced jasmine green tea. I wish we had a downtown Irvine because downtown fullerton is one of my favorite places to go for breakfast...so many choices to pick from and Green Bliss is one that does not disappoint. Situated right across from Rialto (another great breakfast place) and Tranquil tea, Green Bliss is unassuming and down to earth. You order up front and sit at a table waiting for your food as your browse through the local artist items in front of you. Everything I had was delicious and I love how everything is organic and tastes fresh: 1. Farmers Market sandwich- I'm not a big sandwich person but this has everything you would want to wake up to..organic farm eggs, rosemary potatoes and tomatoes on top of bread..normally marble rye but substituted with flaxseed which was perfect. I even had leftovers the next day and it was still delicious. 2. Waffles- Gluten free yet don't let that deter you from ordering since it was the perfect marriage to my sandwich with something a tad sweet. I happened to tumble on to this place. The original meeting place was opening late and I needed a place to meet my friend. So, I saw Green Bliss across the street and decided to walk in. I got a regular latte and a waffle. The workers here do not seem happy. They don't smile, no " how are you today?". A smile goes a long way people. Also, it was my first time here so I was on the side to look at the menu; no people around me nor in line. But the cashier kept asking if I was ready to order. So, I ordered a regular latte and waffle since those were the first things I saw. Later I found out that this place is a vegetarian place. Not a biggie since I have vegetarian friends and I was Pescotarian once. Waffle was crunchy in the outside soft in the inside. Loved the fact that they put the syrup and whipped cream on the side. Tasted like wheat and healthy! But the latte wasn't so great. Maybe I will try it again some time but not a regular meeting spot for me. read more

Pros: Good Food Con: Expensive and small servings. I ordered the baked oatmeal. I asked for it to be without almonds but sadly the oatmeal batches are already mixed together for some reason. Small dish...it would be a snack I would eat while making an actual breakfast. My boyfriend ordered the vegan waffles...or half a waffle. Two small quarters of a waffle and some fruit. I haven't tried much of the actual food they serve here, just the avo-campania panini and a salad that I don't remember the name of- but they were both quite good. BUT, I've tried a few of their smoothies and they're sooooo delicious! They're the main reason I keep coming back. The kale and ginger smoothie is really good, tastes really fresh. But my favorite is the oatmeal blast, especially when you add a shot of espresso. You can also get them to go, which I really like doing since I can grab my drink and go to school or wherever. Definitely for the Healthy. I was craving for some quinoa and kale salad. They had both so there I was. Quinoa salad was bland. Dressing helped but it was basically just cooked red quinoa on a bed of lettuce with some cucumber, tomato and avocado. Kale salad was done a little better. Tossed with salad dressing and cucumber. With a small piece of baguette. Definitely had better. Also tried their Heartbreaker (Feb. favorite). Interesting mix but way too watered down.
