Edison TexMex Deli is a solid spot for a good taco or Mexican bite to eat. Even though it's not on…read morethe menu, they offer Horchata, which I was extremely excited about. It is really delicious and they offer a generous sized cup for $9. Highly recommend trying the Horchata! For my meal, I selected three hardshell tacos - one with ground beef, one with spicy chorizo, and one with al pastor. The ground beef one was most flavorful and my favorite, followed by the spicy chorizo. Onions and parsley are included on top as garnish, but pico de gallo, guacamole, and other toppings are an extra $1 each. There is also plenty of seating and extremely friendly employees working there. If you're looking for a Mexican food joint that gets down to business without any extra frills, this is your spot. I've seen other more elevated locations that offer a bit more with each meal, but this spot sticks true to its name as a deli and gets the job done. Forgot to snap some photos because we were so hungry. Ha! Wish I got a picture of the Horchata to show how massive it was.

The consume lacked in flavor a little. the Chicharrón were a little on the dry side, but okay. The guac was very nice. The place has a lot of seating inside and large drink selection. Would definitely recommend for some authentic Mexican food. The menu is very large, so I am excited to try more from them!

I don't typically recommend Easton Ave because it's overrun with students but this place was nice. The food was good and the drinks were nice (nonalcoholic) Decent burrito and guac was nice without being too spicy

First, staff is super -super nice!! helpful when trying to decide what to order. Mini Me and I both chose three tacos carne asada with the smokey roja sauce. Hubby had the same but as a burrito. For the sides we had chips and guacamole and the Mexican street corn. Drink were Horchata (Obviously). Tacos and burrito were stuffed, and absolutely delish. They have a self serve salsa bar with the three salsa, the smokey roja, salsa verde and habanero. Let me just say I tried all three- fantastic heat to flavour ration and I poured the habanero on my tacos so good! in fact the smokey roja with the salsa verde is a great combination !! Seating area outside is much larger than inside, we sat inside at a table that had just become available- they do a super brisk take out business and we didn't wait very long for our food to be ready. In fact, my husband and Mini-Me - all three of us, agreed we would for sure make the drive again to have tacos here!! If you are in the area or at school near by- you have to come here at least once, to try the food. I paid for my hubby since he was not my +1 and his meal was about $16. so that in itself is very very reasonable for the amount of food you get. We were very pleased with the food, service and price point.

The only dish I don't like is the Mexican Paella- mussels were not good and the calamari was chewy and the overall dish was very very heavy with butter.

My chicken breast was good (everything else on the plate was bland), and my daughter's green enchiladas were ok. My husband's birria quesadilla was very good according to him and my daughter. The service was awful! The waitress handed us iPad menus and never said to order on the tablet or if she was going to come back for our order. The menu is not extensive, just fyi. You can only get taco platters with all the same taco meat, not a variety. The enchiladas are also only 1 way for all three on the plate. Whatever...I can deal with that, if the food was great. It's not. The black beans were room temp with no seasoning, the corn on the cob - no salt, no butter. The guac was also bland. We were never offered water refills and she never asked us if we wanted a drink until after our meals came. We didn't, but it was said with a huge sigh and eye-roll. As a side note, this was a grown woman waiting on us, like an abuela, not a teenager. She never came back to our table, until she saw another waitress come over and bring us boxes for leftovers - that we had to go to the bar to ask for. Oh, important point - the restaurant was not busy, so she was not in the weeds. The restaurant could be an amazing spot if the service was better and they seasoned the food. It is NOT worth the money.
