My wife's friend recommended this to us. We tried the Mesa location. First, I have to address the hummus. It is the best hummus I have ever eaten. We got two plates, one with chicken shawarma and one with beef shawarma. The meats were good, especially the beef but the hummus stole the show. This restaurant is far from my home but always my goto place when I am even slightly close. It is well worth the drive. If you haven't been there in a while, they moved to another corner of the same row of stores. Even as the pandemic first hit Green Corner took hygiene very seriously. Their food is always great, our favorite is the Greek Fries; we have attempted other similar Greek Fries at other restaurants which have paled by comparison. Their gyro meat is always great tasting, textured and not soggy or greasy like you find elsewhere. They also seem to have the best falafel in the valley, never undercooked and large pieces too. Me and my boyfriend went here for the first time tonight, they were super packed so we were thinking that was probably a good sign. We ordered 2 number 16's I believe, the Chicago style steak plates and an extra order of the Greek fries with the seasoning and cheese, and Everything was amazing! In the area and wanted to try a new stop. Can I just say YUM! The place was packed. They gave us some baklava for having to wait. But the service actually wasn't that slow. The portions are huge which we loved and the food is super tasty. Watch out, their garlic sauce is SPICY (but of course, amazing). I love that they have baba ghanoush, you cannot always find that. Wow, why haven't I ever been here before? This place is great. The food is delicious. The beef Al shami is easily big enough for two people to share and the fries that come with are fantastic. The Mediterranean spices are very prominent so if you aren't familiar start with lamb and regular gyros. If you know and love Mediterranean food you will like everything on the menu. The delivery was early, which was nice since I was really hungry. The driver did well too. I got the gyro platter and it was delicious. The dressing was good. Wow! We were blown away by the quality of food, the size of the entrees and the flavor! Everything was so delicious. My husband ordered the Lamb Kafta Kabob plate and unordered the Beef Tekka plate. The rice was so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The salad was fresh! The hummus was incredible! A wall in the restaurant reads: hummus where the heart is. My heart is definitely with this hummus. It's been a couple years since my last review here at Green Corner. I didn't read my last review until after I decided what I'd write this time. I was surprised to find my experience was very similar. Super friendly people. The Baba Ganoush continued to be excellent. Hummus was very good. Rice was very good. Atmosphere has been significantly upgraded inside, this was nice, but we were getting food to go. The reason the rating stays the same at 3 stars is the main courses were exactly the same. The chicken shawarma was relatively flavorful, but dry and small pieces. The gyro meat was also pretty tasty, but a bit dry and small pieces. If both main courses were more moist and larger pieces, the rating would certainly go up. The remodel is very nice, feels much more comfortable inside, nice job on that. read more

I came here for the first time and was blown away! This is by far the best Mediterranean food in Mesa. The girl at the counter was seriously so friendly and helpful. Our food came out quickly even though we were told it could be up to 15 minutes. The food was absolutely delicious- and portions were big! You definitely get your moneys worth. The restaurant was very crowded when I was there, but that's for a good reason. It is delicious! I also love that you get complimentary baklava with your meal. I use to come here all the time literally every other night, up until tonight when I overheard how the owner Abraham speaks to his employees ( who are all young girls) when I came in to pick up my order tonight !! He threw the receipt at the cashier girl and was blaming her in a very condescending and rude way in front of all of the customers for the timing being wrong that they told me it'd be ready by, I called at 5:30 , and was told it would be 30 minute wait for my food , when I got there at 6:05 I was told it be 10 more minutes for my food . Abraham got so upset that the cashier told me 30 minutes instead of 40 minutes and was so rude to her I got my money back and left after he threw the receipt at her I was so upset that he treated her that way I told him he needs to not be talking like that to his employees as a business owner, especially young women. and the cashier girl even told to me when he walked away " that's nothing compared to how he treats us behind closed doors" I'm APPALLED!! read more

A friend was on my side of town helping me pack up to move and we were starting to get hungry, and I remember another friend had been telling me for over a year to go give Green Corner a try so I suggested it and off we went. After checking out the menu I knew I wanted a chicken shawarma pita, it was sliced marinated chicken wrapped in a flatbread with lettuce, garlic sauce, pickles, and tomatoes. Let me tell you that garlic sauce is magic, mixed with everything it was so dang good! I also got a falafel appetizer and these too where just as good! Been going to both locations for years, the food is always great but the service is usually bad (I'm a 10yr server) today Katayah (hope I spelled that right) was so helpful!! She ran around that place making sure orders were fulfilled with 4 plates in her hands at a time! I strongly think she should be working at a steakhouse, you guys are lucky to have her!! I was in the area, so I ordered the original hummus appetizer, and a small Greek salad with Gyro meat for pick-up. The hummus was tasty as expected, but it only came with one small pita round. When I ordered this app as a dine-in customer, I received 2 pitas. The small Greek salad was fresh, and there was plenty of Gyro meat added on top. I noticed a few of the pieces of meat didn't seem fresh. A few pieces were tough, kind of charred, and seemed old. This was a disappointment to me, as my initial visit to this restaurant was an absolute delight. I will give them one more dine-in chance to see if the food freshness improves. I'd like to give them my whole hearted recommendation, as the concept is good, the food is usually fresh and of good quality. read more
