So I frequent Green Corner quite often. Their food is amazing. I usually get the chicken shawarma sandwich or the Gyro. I get there early because the later you get there the busier it is and because the food is made fresh there may be a bit of a wait. It is always super clean in there. Want to start put by saying I heard amazing things about this place and was very excited to try. Called in an order to pick up. It was ready within 10 minutes! the workers were very friendly and attentive, even though it was very busy. We got the beef shawarma wrap, which I would give a 6/10. definitely a little dry. Next time I know what to ask for in terms of modifications (extra garlic sauce and more pickles) . the baklava was very tasty. Pricing wise, very affordable and great portions. I come to Mesa occasionally to babysit my grandson & have brought friends & family. I have never had such a disappointing meal & since it was takeout, could not get it fixed at the restaurant. We ordered the following : 1- a gyro plate, asked for no rice & extra salad, we had a huge portion of rice & there was no hummus. 2- Hummus deluxe app sub with baba gannoug, the chicken was super dry and the baba was so-so, we also did not receive a pita. My wife and I decided to try this place after she had seen a tik tok video. We decided to try the place for lunch on a late Sunday afternoon. It was a little loud to say the least when we arrived with lots of families and children. We perused the menu and proceeded to the order counter and decided to share a couple items. We decided to try the gyro plate and the falafel plate, we also order jalapeno spudz, we shared a large fountain drink and with their combos you get free baklava so it was $42 with tip total, not bad. We grabbed our drink from the fountain, grabbed some utensils and proceeded to find a seat outside as it was way too loud in. The girl at the counter had told us about 20 minutes to wait for our food which was about right of a wait, maybe a tad longer as it was busy. When the food runner finally brought our food we dug in pretty quick, my wife was starving! But I started with the rice, it was fragrant and yellow with flavor. Next was the salad it was crisp and flavored with a mild dressing, a little more feta and it would be spot on. There was lots of delicious gyro meat on my platter and it was cooked to perfection, and finally when I got to the hummus it was super creamy and tangy. The tzatziki sauce was creamy and dilly but in my opinion, could have used a little more garlic. My wife's plate of four falafel were large and crispy, and the tanini sauce was good, but underwhelming. The sdudz were ok but as they cooled they sorta turned into little pucks. But they were still good with the flavorful sauce, even though my wife said I added too much srirachi to it.. o well.. I didn't get to snap a pic of that and the pita, sorry. The pita was ok, even though a few pieces were a little crispy, not sure if this is homemade or store bought item, but I'm a sucker for fresh baked pita, hint, hint owners . The baklava was decent and for free not bad, my piece was a corner piece and suffered from crispy edge and dryness syndrome .. but o well, I nibbled a little of the other piece.. lol But for the price it was a darn good meal, tasty and delicious and lots of it...we will certainly try it again and try some other items. Lunch at Green Corner was fantastic. The restaurant is counter service, sits in a strip mall. Portions are huge and reasonably priced. I ordered a Greek Salad with half beef, half chicken. My friends ordered kabobs- which took awhile but were worth the wait! My only negative is that sugar is added to everything! I usually eat keto. I thought it would be safe to order a Greek salad but the dressing isn't traditional Greek dressing, it tasted beyond sweet. I also confirmed with a server that the meat is marinated with spices that include sugar- really disappointed in that. We seem to be the only country that uses sugar in almost all our cooking. Green Corner is, by far, the best Mediterranean / Middle Eastern food I've had in Arizona. Every dish had SO much flavor in comparison to the many other spots I've been to! The Green Corner Plate Combo is the ideal dish for first-timers, and it's definitely a shareable size. You'll get a sampler of all the classic items -- lamb kofta, beef, and chicken kabobs, a falafel ball, hummus, and salad. I love that they ask how you like your beef, so it's never overcooked! The falafel appetizer, which comes with pita bread and veggies, is also delightfully seasoned. And you'll get complimentary baklava, which is a nice touch. Service is fantastic. They're constantly walking about and keeping the place clean, but everyone makes time to help out customers with questions or even just to grab a takeout box. We did have an estimated 45 minute wait on a Thursday night -- a testament to how good this restaurant is -- but our appetizer was ready quickly, making the time fly by. My recommendation is to not slice the meat until it's ordered. I came in on Saturday 9/6 and ordered the mixed shawarma plate. The meat was so dry because it was sliced and chopped well before I ordered. If you cut meat before it's ready to eat, you lose all the juices and flavor. read more

Very satisfied with my experience with this location today. I first called and spoke to Taylor, she answered all of my questions, and was very patient with me. I'm very indecisive, so I appreciate your patience because I ask a lot of questions. Typically I wasn't ready to make a decision because I was trying to coordinate with somebody come pick up the food for me so I didn't place order. I called back and then I spoke to Baylee who is an answered a few other ones of my questions and I predict pick the order. Call back again. I spoke to Rafael, the menu didn't have what I wanted so I was trying to customize and I got really specific... he stayed calm and patient with me and took the order and even though it wasn't something they normally do, he went as the manager and made it happen. Thank you so much Rafael and Taylor both very sweet, and they are lucky to have you. I called back one other time on my way in because I forgot to ask if they accept Apple Pay or not and the lady put me on hold without asking me if it was OK which normally is OK... But I just was asking if they excepted Apple Pay, and I was on hold for almost 5 minutes, so I drove all that way really bummer to find out that they didn't except Apple Pay especially because I could've canceled the order and probably would've saved on some my time and so it wasn't a waste of food.. but I think I ended up having cash. Local authentic place in the mesa area! Always pretty busy here. Note that the #11 is special takes up to 20-25 minutes bc it's made to order. Staff is always pretty friendly and they have to go containers out for you to grab bc you will def have leftovers!! Prices are reasonable for the portions. Our favorite part was the baklava dessert ! We will continue to be returning customers here. Only thing I wish for was they have bigger portions for the white dipping side sauce. I felt like the 1 small container was not enough. read more

Great all around! Went for lunch on a Thursday and there were quite a few people there, but not overly crowded. The staff were cutting up a beautiful baklava into smaller portions at the ordering counter. It looked delish! Great first impression! I ordered the gyro combo with a Greek salad and drink. My peer ordered the chicken shawarma plate. It was huge and beautifully presented. We sat outside and the tables were surprisingly very clean. I realized why. They came out about every 15 minutes to wipe them down. Nice! However , there were a lot of troublesome flies. I recommend they get some disco balls or other natural repellent. The good news is that they brought the food out quickly. Nice, especially when on a lunch break! I'm quite particular about my gyros and related Greek salad and few do it well. This place absolutely nailed it!! Gyro ingredients perfectly balanced and tightly wrapped. They clearly know and care about what they do! The salad was fresh with just the right amount of dressing. I am a repeat customer and I wanted to try something new today. I got the Al Sham gyro plate. I asked what the different was and I also confirmed the pictured plate (extra meat) was accurate. The cashier said yes. When getting the to go order home, I was surprised to see cole slaw. I do not like coleslaw at all and it wasn't mentioned as a side. It was also touching my fries which made them soggy and full of Mayo. I also didn't get the extra meat as the photo showed and the cashier confirmed. If I knew it had cole slaw I would have asked for something else. This was disappointing to get home and have that surprise. A pleasant surprise was the small baklava. I don't know why it was there but maybe it was because I ordered over a certain amount? The gyro was tasty and I did ask for it without tomato or pickle. I do believe there were pickles in some of my pieces of gyro unfortunately. The fries were pretty good as usual, no issues there. I'll start with I LOVE the food! I miss Carolina and what happened to me today is not cool. I go to Green corner in Scottsdale at least once a week- sometimes twice. for over a year now. I get the same thing and it's always amazing. until today. I ordered on the phone a large salad with on skewer. my friend decided she wanted one too and came with me to order hers at the counter. Not 20 minutes from when I placed my phone order. When we got back to work, mine was noticeably smaller. With one dressing. see photo. I went back to inquire. The kind gentleman said yes, this is the large salad - if placed on the phone- vs. in store ordering. WHAT?! why? we both paid the SAME PRICE. I did not get the same quantity or quality. mine looked like it had been in a refridgerator for hours. He did not offer to make me a "in house bowl" salad. He said sorry and handed it back. At Green Corner you order at the counter and wait for your food. We ordered Greek fries, Beef Kabob and Chicken Kabob. I originally wanted just lentil soup, but for some reason they had only just enough for maybe a bowl.... So I passed on the soup. The kabobs were sooooo large. This is not a bad thing, but I just can't eat that much food anymore. Lol. The kabobs had greek salad and hummus, and pita bread was delivered on the side. The Greek fries and the Greek Salad were amazing. When we go back we are splitting a Kabab plate. Whatever they do to the dressing on the salad, they should bottle and sell. I would drive out just to buy it. It's absolutely divine. I LOVE to eat here! Green Corner is one of the few places in Phoenix that I've eaten at where everything tastes fresh. I love eating here so much, I think I've eaten at all locations. I will say the Mesa location is by far the busiest compared to the other locations. I got my usual; Chicken shawarma entree with hummus, Greek salad, baba ganoush with an extra garlic sauce.
