I get the falafel when ever I am at a Mediterranean restaurant. I have been here a number of times and what I love about their falafel sandwich is it is not in a heavy pita. I think alot of us love the pita and falafel idea but no longer want all the bread. They put it in a nicely grilled wrap. Falafel to tahini ratio is perfect (this ratio is a thing- too much tahini and you have a soggy falafel, not enough tahini and you have a dried ball). I have also gotten the vegetarian platter which is packed with goodness! Their hummus and baba ghanoug is to die for! Try Green Corner. I doubt there is a bad item on the menu! read more

Great gyro! Everything in it was delicious and plentiful - though next time I may ask for extra pickles. The pita bread was nice and soft. I also got a "small" baba ganoush. It was enormous -- like 3-4 cups worth. So what is the large?? Despite the copious quantity of dip, it comes with one small pita that isn't as good as the one from the gyro. Absolutely awesome! Sorry for the messy photo, I had already started eating before I got a chance to take it. (Couldn't wait to dig in) I've never left a review for any restaurant or business ever but after this experience I thought I had to say something. Everything was amazing! From the phone service to the staff in restaurant to the food itself. I made a call for pickup and ordered the mix shawarma plate. Employee on the phone was super friendly and took my order quickly and gave an estimate for when it would be ready (approximately 15-20min). When I got there exactly at 15 min staff greeted me and asked if they could help with a pic up order. I let them know my name and they had the door right up on time. I paid and left and when I opened up the food everything was still very warm and looked awesome. Everything was super flavorful. At Greek places I have been to in the past the salad and rice are usually bland as the focus is on the meat and hummus but not here. The salad was perfectly dressed and the rice was moist fluffy and delicious all on its own. Lastly, when ordering I thought the price was a bit high at a little over $16. But as soon as I opened it up I realized the portion size fit the bill. I had just finished some training and couldn't get through this whole meal as there was plenty of food for 2 normal folks. The portion size as well as the quality and freshness is totally worth the price. I had the gyro platter and could barely finish the plentiful serving of meat, rice salad and naan with hummus. My only criticism is that the naan was just alright and kind of dry and I would have liked some feta cheese on the salad. However, I truly was satisfied with the meal. One of the other people in my party ordered the lamb chops and proclaimed them excellent. Given the more fast food ambiance, I was cringing when they ordered the chops, but they raved about them, so I guess they were pretty good. All in all a solid recommendation from me. read more

Delicious food! I hadn't had Mediterranean food in a long time, and this place was SO good! I ordered online and glad I did because it was surprisingly busy for a Thursday I thought. I got the falafel plate with pita bread, rice, hummus, and Greek salad. The falafel was perfectly crispy but not too oily or dry. Hummus was nice and creamy, and the salad was refreshing. The rice had some spices on it that gave it a unique flavor and it was super good. I got the tzatziki sauce too and it was yummy. Absolutely love this place, I have never had a bad dish from here whether takeout or dine in. The quality of their food is consistent, I must have ordered from them at least 20 times at this point. I love green corner! I usually come here during lunch. They have moved to their. We location which is in the same plaza and easy to see! They have definitely upgraded from their last location. I love the ambiance and the high tables. It is very spacious. Everything I've tried so far has been very good. What I get most is a Greek salad with chicken and the portions are so hearty! It's delicious and I love how they end a meal with a complimentary baklava. They are definitely following Covid recommendations. There was a patron who came in without a mask, and was told that a mask was required and was told three times that it was required and so he turned around and he waited outside while his friends ordered for him. That was very respectful to everyone. So I am glad they do not take that lightly. One thing I would like them to do, is not sweep or mop while I'm eating. I get a sneezing attack when exposed to dust and I am wary when people are sweeping around food. I didn't have a sneezing attack but I was a bit uncomfortable. The Green Corner is the absolute best Mediterranean cafeteria styled restaurant I have been to. The freshness of the food, the large portion servings, and the zesty and tasteful flavors on every entrée make Green Corner my favorite restaurant in its category. The restaurant has 3 locations in the Phoenix metro area. This location is near Southern and Alma School Rd. It has dozens of tables, lots of well lit space and several outside tables in the outside covered patio area. The staff is very efficient, and order taking is a breeze. The prices are reasonable, and especially so considering the large portions with each entrée. The gyro sandwich meals are around $10, the dinner combos range from 13 to 16. And the largest plates are around $20. Those prices for combos abd plates include the entrée, a greek side salad, hummus, pita, and wonderful basmati rice. My favorite meal here is sizzling and tasty lamb chops, but the Green Corner Combo is also amazing. I love their kafta, the gyros meat and their wondefully cooked steak kabobs. My son loves their chicken shwarma and their french fries. Again, regardless of your favorite food at Green Corner, there is always a huge portion on each order. I am always leaving with leftovers. The garlic spread was thinner than I had liked, but it goes well with everything. The baklava was a small piece, but great for a little bite of something sweet or a dessert after your meal (or before, like me lol). Overall, it was a pretty good meal. Inside It is very casual, fast food type dining. There are regular tables and high top tables indoors. There is a corner with a soda dispenser, condiments, and utensils. The room itself is spacious, but it can get crowded at peak hours. Outside It is located in a big plaza with other businesses. Parking will not be difficult to find, as the lot itself is large. We must've just entered right after a rush because there were many tables with used plates and utensils on them. Other than that, the place is clean, including the restroom and soda fountain area. Restaurant temperature was perfect, and there's even patio seating. Decor is simple and calm, gives a fresh, vegetable feel. Clientele ranges from younger to older adult, families, all cultural and ethnic backgrounds and everyone seemed to be greatly enjoying their meal. While we were eating, a huge rush of people came in, the line was almost out the door. The parking lot is shared with other small businesses, so it can be a little cramped. Green Corner does not have waiters, only staff that bring your meal when it's ready. All the staff was very friendly, dressed in uniform, and had good hygiene. We ordered a large Baba Ganoush which was phenomenal; my friend said it was the best she's ever had. Also Greek Fries, which were packed with garlic flavor and crispy. I ordered the Beef Shawarma plate and it was so delicious. The meat was flavorful and tender, the hummus was creamy and tasty, and the rice was perfectly tender and had a delicious, unique flavor, maybe saffron? Overall, the meal was phenomenal and definitely worth the price. The portions were so large, we had to take some home. On my next visit, I wanna try the gyro platter and the tabouleh. I've heard great things about this place so I thought it was time I stop in and try. I called in a phone order and was told to it would be 15 minutes I got to the restaurant 15 minutes later and waited inside for another 45. They clearly are very busy and popular. I'm not sure if this is a common thing. The food did turn out to be excellent I got the chicken kebab plate everything included was very flavorful fresh. There are some gripes about the place, but overall its one if not the best ME restaurant in the Phoenix area. Food: Everything here is cooked well, but not consistent. Keeping the price point in mind, I will give them a pass. You ask for medium every time and each time you get a range of rare to well, always a hit or miss. Chicken at times comes out perfect, other times chewy. Lamb is usually overcooked no matter what temp you tell them. The portions are huge and we always leave some for leftovers. Baba is a bit light on eggplant and at times while tasting differently(obviously); visually is not distinguishable from hummus. This area could use some work. Finally the pita. While this seems to be more common in AZ, we are used to a much fluffier version at the Persian and Lebanese restaurants in Chicago, bakeries, etc. The ones here are wedges of thin lavash? Also they seem a bit cheap on the sauces. You get one with your plate and there are only two options and neither is very good. The hot sauce option is not made in house and just a bottle of Mexican hot sauce; really? At least have bottles of Shatta or similar, if not made in house. Service: Order at counter and food is brought out. Tip is "optional" at the register, but recommended amounts don;'t align with level of service. You are getting your own drinks, utensils, etc. Just saying. Overall: This is my father in laws favorite place in AZ, so yes we will be back here again and again. read more
