We were staying at one of the hotels across the street and wanted to come in for a bite to eat after a long drive. We were quite surprised, and delighted to come across this Mediterranean restaurant. We the Friday night special lamb shank, and beef Shawarma plate. The quality of lamb beef was excellent. The lamb fell off the bone and very tender, the Shawarma, was very well seasoned and the hummus looked like it was homemade and was very creamy. I was told this was the best Shawarma place in town by a true middle eastern so I was excited to bring my Palestinian friend who was visiting from out of town. It turns out they were right. My friend loved this place. She said the falafel was the best falafel she's had in the US. I liked my shawarma sandwich and enjoyed the tabbouleh salad too. Always a fan favourite with people from work! The portions are large and the food is good. It feels more authentic than your typical pita place and I love the complimentary dessert it comes with. Ambiance: clean, casual dine-in available. You line up first to place your order, grab a number, and then they bring it to you. Food: some items take 30mins + to make, but their gyros and certain platters don't take nearly that long. Food is tasty and well seasoned. The French fries are so good with the lemony sauce on top! The hummus is delicious and the pita soft and perfect to scoop up the sauces and food. A platter is more than enough for a single lunch. Friendly, efficient, and super knowledgeable about the menu, she makes ordering easy and enjoyable. My favorite dish has to be the chicken shawarma wrap American style with hummus and rice inside. We chose this restaurant to meet friends who were driving through Arizona. While it's not conveniently located for us, it's a great place to go for really delicious fresh Mediterranean food. The folks at the counter are very patient while you look at all your options and once you've decided it's prepared quickly. While it's not a sit down and be served type of restaurant, it's bright and it's clean with plenty of seating. We were at the Mesa location and if it were closer to Tucson we would frequent it more often. We loved it! They have restaurants in Scottsdale and Chandler as well. Give it a try. I love it here. My family comes here a lot. I love tabouli and theirs is so yummy. They have huge position sizes and sometimes I find myself not being able to finish all the food. They give free baklava if you sit in and eat and they have very nice service. They're always busy which is a good sign for business and customer service. I have been to green corner many times then I stopped coming and now I remember why. First, let's start with the good. The hummus is very good. It's creamy and has a great flavor. The portion sizes are large so if all you care is about portion size than this is the place for you. I got the chicken shawarma. The chicken was not good in fact it tasted off and I hope I don't suffer the consequences later today. The rice is cooked well but the flavor is strong and not enjoyable...but that's just me. The salad is good. The salad dressing is sweet which is not common with most middle eastern restaurants I have been to before. I'll tell you what this place is actually pretty good. I was a little hesitant when my buddy said Mediterranean food (Greek food). But it was actually fire. As soon as I walked in I was like this place is pretty slow must not be that good. Well as soon as we ordered not bit 10 minutes later boom they got a massive rush in the door. I was like well they are lining up for something good. As soon as we got our food. The portion size blew me away. How was I suppose to eat all this food by myself. Impossible. It was. Great food, large portions, and friendly people! There's really not much else to say. We got the chicken shawarma and lamb chop plates. Everything was delicious - hummus (so yummy!!), salad, rice, pita bread, fries, and the meats. The ladies swung by and gave us each a complimentary piece of baklava, which was really nice of them. Next time, I'll try the Green Corner Combo, which has a little bit of everything, and maybe the baba ghannoug...and maybe the tabouleh salad :) read more

This has got to be the best Greek place in town, or at least that I have tried since moving here. Huge portions, delicious food, and quick service, not to mention the lovely outdoor seating and huge, spacious indoor seating! It's very casual - you order at the counter and they bring it to your table. I got the beef schwarma, and it comes with salad, yellow rice, hummus, and pita, which I substituted for cucumbers. My dine-mate got a wrap and ate about half of it, as it was huge. Food arrived in about fifteen minutes, as they were very busy on a Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, no free baklava for us! I went in to get my family food to go from this place for dinner tonight. When I gave my order, I was told that it was going to be a 30 minute wait. This is normally no issue at all, as this is the expected wait time for every other order I've ever placed with them. Half an hour goes by, and I have to ask a member of staff on the status of my order. I was told that one of the dishes I ordered was taking a little longer than expected and would be another 10 minutes. I accepted this and went back to waiting. I asked again 10 minutes later only to be told that the same dish would be ready in 10 minutes. I figured that they were just slammed and sat back down to wait again. A total of an hour after I ordered, twice the expected wait time, I finally got my food. Every dish, including the one that held the entire order up by half an hour, was ice cold and all of the fries I ordered were soggy and cold. Not a single item I ordered was kept warm under a light, and was instead placed in the plastic bag on a cold metal table while the rest of the food was pushed out of the kitchen. I checked right there at the counter to make sure the food was warm and was sorely disappointed. I was given a single order of fries in order to make up for the fact that all five entrees and all of the fries that went with them were cold and flaccid. When I complained about this, I was given attitude about how they would have to redo every dish if I wanted crispy fries, and the staff refused to swap out the now ruined fries for something not cooked half an hour ago. The only reason I did not have them redo the entire order was because I had to get home to my family. I spent $90 on cold gyros, cold fries, and even colder customer service. If you are expecting food pushed out of the kitchen on time or to have your meal hot I would suggest literally any other Mediterranean restaurant in the valley. 0/10 would rather go to Pita Jungle. read more

It was a little more dry than I like, but had decent flavor. Having a large portion of cucumbers and pita bread rounded out the plate nicely. I came in after spin class one Thursday evening and ordered a Lamb Kafta Kabob and a Mix Swarma Combo to-go. I was told that the Lamb would take 20 minutes to prepare so I got a mint Abali yogurt soda to try while I waited. Holy sodium bomb! I don't think the Abali yogurt soda is for me but to each their own. After receiving our food and taking it home, I opened up each box to the biggest portion of delicious-smelling food. The service consisted of a walk up ordering counter (like a McDonald's) staffed by a person who talked (mumbled) in a way that suggested to me she didn't actually care whether we could hear her. If you come here be prepared to leave in a food coma. All I remember was trying to finish my hummus but no matter how much I ate, every time I looked down there was still a lot left on my plate. I finally gave up and took it to go. But boy was it good. My first thought when walking in was how crowded it was. We Ordered our food and there were no available tables since half are closed due to covid. We had to sit outside which was fine because the servers took the food out to us and they were very attentive throughout our meal. Portions are huge! I ordered the lamb shank plate and my dining companion got the mixed shawarma. Both very good and over flowing with tender meat and fluffy rice. This meal was my breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, and dessert all in one. I had enough leftovers to last me all day. Only thing I did not enjoy was the salad. Greek salad is my favorite but I think I got the last of the batch because all I got was olives, bell peppers, and tomatoes. No lettuce. It was also very vinegary. Overall we loved this place. I've been coming here since they were in the smaller building next door. Every time they test my patience, I get the same meal every time so I know it takes 25-30 minutes so I always call ahead of time. But if I call 30 minutes ahead of time every time and I'm still waiting for 10 minutes after getting there it's really discouraging to keep returning. Multiple times I've asked to if my order was ready just to be told 10 more minutes, 10 minutes goes by and I ask again. They'll pull my bag of food out from the mess of bags they have and say oh it's right here sorry.
