It's situated right in the heart of Main St across from the iconic steepled church and offers a wonderful breakfast. We opted to join their waitlist but they were able to seat us as soon as we arrived. Their menu has a lot of breakfast options but the jalapeño cheddar pancakes were out of this world. So tasty and paired well with the syrup! Definitely put this on your list. The interior is so cozy and inviting like you're sitting in your family's dining room!

Used Yelp check in to the waitlist but it was essentially useless as we had to check in and wait when we got there anyway. Hostess seemed confused when I mentioned the waitlist. There was a bunch of outdoor seating in use this time since it wasn't as cold, which seemed to help move the list along. Food was really good, just like our first visit. We had a mix of eggs and French toast and it didn't matter what you ordered as everything was cooked to absolute perfection. The maple sausage is still one of the highlights. It's a little on the pricier side, but the quality justifies the cost.

Even threw him a curve by asking for the steak frites with an additional side of brussel sprouts, which he handled no problem - even though there weren't any sides I saw on the menu. Steak was medium rare and perfectly seasoned, and I think I mentioned the chimichurri but it deserves additional mention. Maybe you're wondering about beverages. The maple lemonade is great - it leans harder on the tart side and there are sweeter options around (Cliff House) but I love a lemonade that tastes... lemony. Pineapple cherry punch was also a hit - but that's secondhand hearsay, unlike my direct opinion on the chimichurri - which I would drink if I could. Definitely check this place out. The table near ours seemed to immensely enjoy their meal and also get great service from Duncan.

After paying $54 for a meal we really were disappointed in, we feel we really have no reason to return sadly. The flavors seemed good, if only they could've cared about the execution details and customer service. I wish I could've tried the falafel burger and nachos - both sound good.

The place was super packed at 1:45 so we knew it had to be good. I really like how Vermont's restaurants have a big emphasis on locally grown FRESH foods. This place gives you an earthy almost California-Like vibe as soon as you walk in. I think they have a great concept it's a great little cafe serving breakfast, lunch and even early healthy casual dinner with a slight Greek twist. We ordered a cup of soup, three salads, 2 double espressos and a sandwich the bill was a bit over $80 so it's not super cheap but then again as long as it's good who cares(ALSO the portions are huge). The salads were good. Everything tasted fresh but I expected a little more (I had the Mediterranean-the lemon tahini dressing was great though). The sandwich though WOW that shit was aaaaahhhhmaaazingggg. I haven't had a sandwich that good in a VERY LONG TIME. Incase you're wondering it was The Local which came with Vermont white cheddar, turkey, pesto mayo & baacooonn. I could of had 10 no joke. I would definitely return & build my own salad this time- adding the lemon tahini dressing forshure!!! Ps. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because my father in law who is nicer than me x a million even brought up the fact we paid $3 for avocado that he didn't see or taste. If in fact he just missed it that's a pretty expensive tablespoon of avocado. I would say that a half an avocado is super fair (for both the customer & the business) for $3. read more

I live and work in the Stowe area. With over 55 restaurants to choose from, this is my first choice for breakfast, brunch, lunch and just hanging at the bar, using the wifi. Most days I have trouble deciding what to have because there are so many delicious options and the special board is always changing. If it's available, try the homemade corned beef hash, it is the best I've ever had. After reading one of the other reviews, I have to laugh because they clearly made some assumptions based on the business name. For those of you who don't know, here is the definition of green: the hue of that portion of the visible spectrum lying between yellow and blue. NO WHERE on the sign OR the menu does it say "organic, vegetarian, or vegan". They DO offer scrumptious meat-free options, build-your-own salads and fresh juice, but it is not some hippy vegan hang-out. When you read the word GREEN, remember that Vermont is the "GREEN MOUNTAIN STATE" and the owner of this fine establishment, aptly named Athena, is the Goddess referred to in the name. read more

Went there today for breakfast. I was excited that they do offer gluten free bread. I ordered a pesto egg, spinach,cheese,and tomato sandwich which I knew would be expensive because I asked for gluten free bread but they messed up my sandwich. I had to ask them to fix it as they forgot to put spinach and cheese in it. Then it was heated so the bread got weird. When they brought my corrected sandwich out the waitress said "dont worry I got you" ummm... no you didn't. The sandwich was ok the other food looked great coming out. Yet I am most concerned that they are not complying to safety/sanitation compliance. No one should wear open toed shoes in a place that serves food. It makes me question what other questionable things go on there. read more

First time coming for lunch. Got the Falafel Gyro, Goddess Grilled Cheese, Asian Salad, and two muffins (for breakfast tomorrow). The Falafel Gyro is absolutely amazing. The falafels themselves seem homemade with corn and have this perfect crunchy exterior. The Goddess Grilled Cheese was good as well, I think it would be better on sourdough and cooked a bit longer. WOW! This place is awesome! This was our first time here and we're so glad we went. The food is delicious, the staff was so friendly and welcoming that we wound up staying for a few hours. We had delicious pork tacos and a chicken philly based off the owners recommendations - they really know their stuff! I'll be making this a regular spot every week that I visit. read more

Ordered take out breakfast wraps from GG on our way home from Stowe. The wraps were delicious - especially the pesto & egg wrap. They were very accommodating of a nut allergy as well. Line was a little long for take out, but it's only because they are so popular. Great breakfast spot! read more

The service was excellent. My server, Sarah B., was attentive, kind, and made sure everything was just right without being overbearing. As a first-time guest, I really appreciated how smooth and welcoming the experience felt. For food, I ordered the Focaccia Melt - $11 with tomato, spinach, cheddar, and basil mayo. I added an egg (+$2) and avocado (+$3.75), and it was absolutely worth it. The focaccia was perfectly toasted, the ingredients were fresh, and the combination of flavors was balanced and satisfying. The egg added richness, and the avocado was creamy and generous. On the side, I had the hashbrowns ($3.50), which were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside exactly how hashbrowns should be. Then discovered the loaves stocked daily fresh bread at Stowe Living and at The Commodities Natural Market. More recently we went to Hyde Park location to try their lunch sandwiches. The Turkey Bacon Avocado with cheddar cheese and pickled red onions is fresh, tasty, easy to eat - a favorite. Panuozzo is an interesting creation using sourdough pizza to wrap around fresh burrata, roasted garlic cloves, roasted red peppers and pesto - the burrata is super fresh and rich type of mozzarella but sandwich is very messy (both hands and face) and we reeked of garlic afterwards. Seriously, the garlic taste and odor built up and literally lingered for 24h - so make sure to share this with your loved ones so all of you are in the garlic group. We would order the Panuozzo again but probably leave off the garlic. Bahn Mi is an interpretation of a classic Vietnamese Bahn Mi - it is tasty but contained no cucumbers, less cilantro and pickled carrots/daikon plus the gravy made the bread soggy. It is still good and we would order again but ask for the gravy on the side as a dipping sauce. All 3 sandwiches were winners and we loved our food adventure. We were missing pickles from 2 of our 3 sandwiches but the 1 pickle we had was good. The sandwiches were hearty so we didn't eat the fries. We will be back and can't wait to try Reuben, cheese steak, fried chicken as well as dinner!
