    Blue moon
    Timothy B.

Came in after work for the first time 6:15 not many people. I sat the bar and the bartender was there immediately for my drink order which was a blue moon. I ordered the Big Bad Blue burger cooked medium. The burger is blue cheese, bacon, sautéed onions, baby arugula, and Dijon mustard. I loved how the bun had the initials of the restaurant on it. The burger was cooked perfectly and was very juicy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They had classic rock playing the whole time[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

GKG really is NJ's #1 Top Hot Spot and Entertainment Destination! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place has three dining rooms plus a large outdoor patio with a Tiki Bar![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great place to have lunch or dinner with delicious meals. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great place to watch sports on the over 30 TV's and or just to have a drink at the Bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bartenders are great especially Jojo, Sammi and Ciara as well as the other bartenders and staff. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you enjoy seeing live bands this is the place to be Thursday, Friday, Saturday and yes Sunday.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The Best Bands with great drinks and an excellent vibe. The Owner Lisa is awesome and always around saying hello to everyone! I would highly recommend for an enjoyable time with delicious food and drinks. See ya all there soon. Hollywood Mike 2025!

First time at the restaurant, went in as a group of 20 to celebrate a birthday, so we took a reservation ahead of time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat outdoors , plenty of space, nice and chill vibe with music and string lights, some outdoor games etc.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was friendly and helpful. We ordered a lot of food - Wings, Fries, Chicken fingers, Spring rolls, Burgers, Vodka Pasta, Enchiladas, fish taco and more. Overall I would rate the food 3/5, it does the job but nothing great. The drinks were very average, we ordered a few cocktails and mocktails. We had a good time , however the drinks and food were just ok.

Came here for a quick bite to eat around lunchtime. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sat outside, as it was a warm day and relatively empty. Nice vibe, they had music playing and a bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Since it was empty and the outdoor area was enclosed, kids had a chance to run around. They had a huge Connect 4 game, some been bag concoction and one other game.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My daughter and I played Connect 4 for quite awhile. For lunch, I ordered the fish tacos with flour tortilla instead of corn. It was pretty good! fish was a tad dry tho, and I wish they had some kind of sauce to go with it, but flavoring was on point. We shared a hot pretzel too. Nice and large. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Only complaint is the place was def a college type bar, with so-so bathrooms and smelled of beer inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not easily noticeable if you sit outside line we did, but for an inside meal, it would be annoying. I'd def go back here for happy hour, or a nice outdoor lunch though.

In our family of four, two people love Green Knoll Grill, one person says it's ok, and one person says he is never coming here again. How can we have such different opinions? I think it's because we want different things out of our dining experience. The person in my family who dislikes GKG is a true foodie, and the standard American fare here is too bland and boring for him. He also says the drinks are watered down and even after 2 mixed drinks here he feels completely sober. Furthermore, he feels overwhelmed and overstimulated by the large screen tvs mounted every ten feet, all showing something different. The two family members who enjoy this restaurant so much that they come here 2 or 3 times a week, find the lively atmosphere fun and uplifting. They like to sit in the crowded bar area and feel like part of the community all watching the games on tv and cheering on their favorite sports teams. The waitstaff here is interactive and talkative, sometimes giving cheeky banter. Again, half my family enjoys the joking around and the other half of my family wants waitstaff to be polite and unintrusive. The food that some might consider flavorless, is deemed "simple and delicious and not too spicy or salty" by others. I've tried to be fair in this review with 3 stars, since none of the dishes were ever bad and the place is always clean and looks nicely decorated. It just doesn't have the flair for me to rate it anything above just ok.

    Fish tacos!

I've come here several times with a large group for dinner and had a good time! It's a local eatery with decent food and drinks, and it doesn't usually disappoint! The service is pretty good and the waitstaff is friendly and prompt. What I recommend: you can't go wrong with the handhelds. The sandwiches are pretty good and the portions are generous. The fish tacos aren't bad but the cabbage would be better as a slaw or pickle. Overall, I don't think there's anything you would be disappointed with. There are not a ton of vegetarian or gluten free options but the menu can be customized. The staff is pretty accommodating. Pricing is reasonable. They have outdoor dining so definitely consider that in the summer.

The last time I went here the atmosphere was clearly geared towards high school or college students. I mostly go here just a drink with friends. The floors are really sticky and the whole place seems very unclean but I think their sampler platter is a good dime for your buck. Overall I really wouldn't go here on a date or by myself or with family. The vibe and atmosphere here is loud and obnoxious past 9pm. I've also gone here for lunch and dinner and to put it simply the food is just not worth it. Really only a drinking place

This place is great! Food it banging, servers are good looking and funny and personable! This place always has music playing, sports, news, and races on the tv's! The events I've seen with bands and DJ's on the weekends are cool! Plus the bartenders are super sweet! I ordered a Bailey coffee with Jameson whisky and Taylor, ham, egg, and cheese with french fries, super pleasing by the way! I have no complaints :) Definitely my new top place to hang, eat, and drink!

The audacity. Watered down drinks and bland food... sweet.

I wanted to try something from the lunch menu, after asking an employee, I was told that lunch starts at 11:30am. So I came back around that time to order. I've been seeing their Big Mack Smash on social media for some time now, and it looks delicious. So I decided to I order their single patty Big Mack Smash, with angus meat and American cheese, on a plant based white bun. I don't care for sesame seeds on buns, and there was no option for a regular burger bun (without sesame seeds), so I chose the non sesame seed vegan bun. I also ordered a side of fries with garlic aioli. The plant based white bun was a little dry and the burger patty was also dry and did not have much flavor. Maybe I should have done a double patty for the burger, since it is a smashed patty and a little too thin for my liking. I felt like I was eating a dry burger bun with mostly lettuce, an occasional pickle and the Mack sauce. I probably will not order the garlic aioli again, it had a sweeter and nutty flavor to it, and I prefer more of a savory aioli. I used to order their Blackened salmon with a side of greens and Spanish rice in their BBQ Ranch flavor style, from their old menu. I do miss that meal, it was so flavorful with the crispy onions to top everything off. But I understand that they made the change to better suit the business and cut back on waste. I probably would not order the big Mack burger again. But I will definitely be back to try something else from the new menu. I've been a customer for over 6 years, and have introduced some of my family members and friends to this restaurant, and we've enjoyed our meals here for that time. I love that there are many vegan and vegetarian options here. Although I am neither, it's a great place for those who have dietary restrictions/preferences. Hopefully I find my new go to menu item soon, but in the meantime I will be ordering and trying many of the other new menu items. This is definitely the place to come if you don't want a typical vegan meal. You'd be like a kid in a candy store, with the amount of options that are here. They also have many non vegan options. Turf, Surf and Earth serves EVERYONE and that is their biggest positive!
