Enjoyable environment that we have been visiting for years. My husband and I were there last week and when I asked for a non-alcoholic BEER the young person serving us stated that they did not carry non alcoholic beer but began to advise on their mocktails. I explained that, no, I would like a beer and have had them there a few times before. I'm not that naive to see an up-sale from the waitstaff. The service at this place is some of the worst I've ever experienced. We got seated and had to ask staff to be waited on. Our food came out and was delicious but they messed some of my tables orders up. No big deal it was still good. We had to order two drinks at a time because it would take 20 sometimes 30 minutes for our server to get back to us. We spent close to $350 just on drinks and NOBODY got drunk. They don't put alcohol in their mixed drinks. If you want to get drunk at this place order beer and seltzer's so you know you're getting an alcoholic drink. I would have given this place 4 stars because it was a lot of fun but they messed up with the payment. We paid half of our tab with cash and half on a card. Our waitress took the cash as a tip on top of the extremely generous tip we left for such crap service on the card and charged my card in full. Ridiculous. I will never come back to this bar unless I'm in the mood to drink miller lite and people watch. I will however give it 5 stars for quality free entertainment. Went here today for the first time. The food was absolutely amazing. We had their macaroni and cheese (best I've ever had) I got the mahi mahi sandwich, It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. My friends got the Buffalo chicken sandwich and ahi tuna wrap and they loved them. I got one of their drink specials (blood orange margarita) it was absolutely delish. We split the chocolate lava cake it was amazing. To top it all off our server Danielle was so nice and sweet and made the experience even better. First I will say our waiter was very good! Second, the food was good as well. My complaint is 1. We had 6 adults and 2 children 4 and 1 1/2, they were counted as an 8 for adding Gratuity of 18% I usually do 20% whenever we go out, so they lost out. 2. I wrote a review on google but felt i should also write it here. Idk how the reviews are so low. I came to see a band called the nerds and it was amazing. Didn't call for a reservation but when they had a table for us they were so kind. One of the hostess, Kristina was so nice seating us and grabbing our server hailey. She made sure our drinks and food was put in quick. It was very busy but the atmosphere was great! Food was delicious and drinks looked and tasted great. Came here for the first time for lunch and was hesitant given all the reviews. In my experience I was completely surprised. We had lunch outside in the tiki area...the servers were really efficient and funny, at times. I ordered the veggie bean burger with fries, and my coworkers had a panini and flatbread thingie...sorry didn't pay full attention but see photos! Anyways, we all agreed on the food tasting great. Kinda basic on the beer choices. Would've enjoyed more summer options being 80 degree weather, but I settled for a Blue Moon. Overall nice area outdoors, good food, and good service! I like to give everyone 3 chances. I've been here 3 times for 3 different dates. First time we got a margarita pitcher- a hard no. The beer tower came in clutch. We got Mac n cheese bites they tasted fresh out of the freezer, the steak fries were pretty good, the cheese pizza had zero flavor. Second time I just came for drinks and sat outside by the bar had a decent time. The third time I went they had a Smirnoff seltzer rep so I got one. I got the hummus platter which comes with a lot more than you can imagine. Other than that the outdoor area is cute and they have games to play towards the back. The pints and pitchers were a good bang for your buck and the happy hour food specials seemed like good deals although I didn't get a chance to try any of them. Thursdays also have $6.95 burger specials. The DJ on Thursday night did pretty well mixing a lot of older and current songs for the crowd. So, prior to writing this review (Yelp) does ask for consideration regarding COVID and being a bit more understanding when giving feedback. So I have and here is my review. AWFUL. Our Server was working alone on her very 1st day. (Memorial Day). She was amazing and did her best for a busy Monday afternoon. The rest of the visit was just a Calamity of errors and folks walking out very disappointed. On at least 5 occasions we had a food runner approach our table and asked if we ordered the food he had with him! The answer all 5 times was no. The Fresh Warm food made several trips to the wrong table. Often times being brought back inside for redirection. Servers not knowing their table assignments, resulting in patrons waiting for excessive amount of time before being greeted and taken care of. On 1 occasion, a male patron had to get up and go and ask the Hostess where his server was? Just total Mayhem! The two gentlemen next to us actually warned a new table sitting down to rethink their decisions about this restaurant! Lastly the food took a very long time to arrive and was not what I would call Hot, perhaps lukewarm! And the Nail in the Coffin was not knowing the price in advance of a Mic Ultra Draft in a 12oz plastic cup. Hope your sitting down. $5.75 before tax for a 12oz cup. Absolutely ridiculous. Bartender at the outside bar was so nasty right off the bat that we went inside. This was a Monday afternoon, and it was not crowded, so not sure why there was such an attitude. The bar inside wasn't much better, and that (young, blond again - who is hiring these girls? One of them didn't even look old enough to drink liquor nonetheless serve it) bartender was wearing what looked to be black underwear? I guess whatever you need to do to get tips. After stopping here for a quick bite on a Memorial Day drive home when this was one of the only few open places, it appears to me that most of their bad reviews are due to people's erroneous expectations of the place. It's a simple, no frills restaurant catering to mostly younger crowd. It's a place to hang out with friends drinking cheap beer or a place to stop for a quick bite. Once you know it, everything else is fine. It has a huge patio with adequately spaced tables and umbrellas. Service was not too quick but it was efficient. Our food runner almost messed up my order by placing a burger meant for a different table in front of me but my husband resolved the issue immediately by realizing it had cheese which I don't eat. The runner took that away and gave me my burger. We did not see our waitress until we were done with our food not was I really expecting to see her. Otherwise, our experience was pretty much what we expected if not better. Two burgers, a huge pretzel (bonus points for serving it with cinnamon sugar butter among other condiments!) and two Budweisers came to $53. We sat on a patio enjoying a beautiful weather. Not sure what's not to like. Just don't go here expecting gourmet food, tablecloths, attentive service. That's not what this place is for and sometimes all you need is a decent burger and a cold Bud. Great pizza, great atmosphere really the best party place in central jersey

This is easily my favorite bar in the Bridgewater area. There is no other restaurant or bar around with a patio like this one and there is a food and drink special for every day of the week. The waitresses are friendly and attentive and there are food runners which allow for the service to be regulated and quick. While I am a regular in the summer for happy hour on the patio I can also be found watching an Eagles game on TV with my family on in the fall. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to meet up with friends or watch whatever game may be on TV. Only warning is that if you grew up in the area you have to be prepared to run into at least three people you know. read more

It's surprising to me that there are only two reviews, both written within the past couple of months, because Green Knoll Grille has been around for a number of years. The menu (http://www.greenknollgrille.net/green_knoll_MENU.pdf) encompasses the usual bar staples at reasonable prices -- nachos ($10), buffalo wings ($9), burgers (~$9), pizza ($11-15) -- as well as more polished entrees including salads, steak, veal, chicken, and seafood -- all under $25. The burgers, sandwiches, and the baby back ribs are decent.. I've never had a bad meal here. Service can be a hit or miss affair because most of the servers are young and turnover is high. While the food and the service are downright average (at best), the Green Knoll Grille provides a casual, laid back atmosphere that is great for happy hour with the guys / girls after work or watching sporting events on the ubiquitous flat-screen TV's. Green Knoll Grille's enormous outdoor patio features seating for ~200, a tiki bar, and an outdoor playground for children that is packed on most Thursday nights during the Spring/Summer when the weather is cooperative.. Be forewarned that parking can be an issue on Thursday nights, in particular. Although Green Knoll Grill offers valet parking , two or three friends of mine have complained about their cars being dinged, dented, and sideswiped by the careless valets -- and the restaurant has categorically refused to accept any responsibility. read more
