Green Line movers were wonderful from beginning to end. I called late on a Sunday night expecting to leave a message for someone to call me back Monday morning to set up an appointment for an estimate. After 15 minutes I received a call back from Boris. He was very courteous and agreed to have someone at the house the next day at 1:30 pm. The next day 3 men and the truck were at the house before 1:30pm. This was a good sign! They went over everything and said Boris would email me the quote in a day or so. The next day I received a detail estimate with a guarantee not to exceed a certain dollar amount. Both amounts were reasonable considering I was moving from a large house to an apartment. I had a lot of stuff! after reviewing several moving company's whose estimates ranged from $684.00 to $2600.00 I called Boris to reserve my moving date. They were not the lowest or the highest they were in between and worth every dollar. Twice before the moving date I had to call Boris to change the date of the move. Both times he was courteous and accommodating. The night before the move he called to confirm they would arrive at 8 am. The day of the move the 4 men arrived at 7:45 am John being the man in charge who was also the young man who took the estimate came in and began instructing the others where to start. We went over the items in the house, some he remembered and in 2 hours had the truck fully loaded. My one dislike was not major but a concern. We had to make a 2nd trip like I said before I have a lot of stuff! Fortunately the move was local and the time was included in the estimate. These men work very hard and fast. I bought them coffee and got them lunch which they ate in short breaks awhile after it was given to them. They put everything where I wanted, set up all the beds, organized as much as I needed. John was the best he made sure they did what I wanted. The move was completed only 2 1/2 hours over the estimated time. That additional time was for packing they were asked to do once they began the move. They were wonderful. I highly recommend!! read more

This is my second move in 2 years and I thought my previous experience cannot be matched but Green Line Movers pleasantly surprised me by the reasonable rate and the excellent service. For moving a one-bedroom and 25 boxes into storage which is 20 minutes away from my house I got a quote of $900 from my previous movers versus a quote of $440 by Green Line Movers for a team of 3 individuals for 3 hrs. In arranging for the move, Alex the owner sent me a quote and followed up with a phone call and whenever I sent him to make further inquiries or finalize the date and time, he would always respond in less than 24 hours. On the day of the move, the team arrived on time which was 8 am and only started timing once they were inside my apartment and after they got their dollies and equipment out. Bob, the team leader, was very courteous and attentive to all of my requests. They wrapped everything in plastic wrap for free except for items that I specifically asked to be wrapped in paper as well which costed $3 a sheet which I found to be very reasonable. They were not wasteful with the paper sheets and did not try to overuse it to charge me more. The team moved fast and in coordination that showed experience and professionalism. In less than 90 minutes, my furniture was wrapped and loaded to their huge truck along with my boxes, and my bike which I asked to be wrapped in plastic too which they accommodated for very nicely. My stuff was then unloaded and stacked in a storage unit. The whole move took 2.5 hrs and I was charged the minimum rate which is for 3 hours. I did not mind that at all as that was our agreement and the team worked so fast and did not try to exceed the 3 hours which I was worried about. I would definitely recommend Green Line Movers and would hire them again for my next move. They turned a stressful and tiring experience to a pleasant one. Let me tell you something!!! This is my 8th move in 16 years and this has been the smoothest move I have ever had! These guys are just awesome!!! The communication was great from start to finish. I emailed Alex a few times right before my move for confirmation and he responded every single time. Our initial conversation went great as well; very professional! I moved from NJ to PA yesterday and the movers were fantastic! 4 guys were assigned to my move for 8am and scheduled for a 3 hour move. I knew it would go to 4 hours but scheduled 3 and figured I'll pay the difference which is $54 per half hour. My new place is about 50 minutes from my old place so that took up a chunk of time. Ok sorry to ramble, back to the movers and the move. They got there on time and begin work immediately! I never seen anything go so smoothly with a move. They wrapped all my furniture, handle all my items and boxes with care. Assembled and reassembled my furniture; all with ease. Seriously the only thing I had to do was tell them where things belong in my new condo. Hands down the BEST!!! I would not hesitate to hire this company again and I will certainly recommend them! They made my moving experience seamless and painless. The guys had great personalities; I turned music on from my iPod and they really enjoyed it. We joked a little but it did not deter from the move whatsoever! I do not like to just have someone in my home and not interact with them and treat them like "the help" we are equal. I used them for a local move last week, and it was super smooth. Can't really find any fault with them. Mine was an 1 bed apartment move and my good experience started with them giving me the best rate. Everyone says they do moves of any size, but their rates don't consider the move size. But these guys gave a pretty good deal and I found them perfect since it was a local NJ move. Most others in NY or philly area charge for travel time coming to central NJ, but these guys charge from the time they start at your house till they re-assemble stuff in the new place. Service is great, they called couple days before the move and on the day of the move to confirm everything. Then they called when they finish their previous move and are on their way over. And always ready to answer any questions when i called. Then John and his crew showed up almost on time, and he was very friendly and efficient. Went about their business very smoothly and efficiently. No fuss about the the number of floors etc. Everything came as expected, no damage and no loss. I didn't have any complex or fragile expensive items, but my already 90% broken centre table came exactly like it was. And job was completed within the time John had estimated. And rate came to exactly what was talked about before - and no toll,gas,travel charges etc. Everything is known before hand. Would definitely recommend Green line and John. Could not have been happier with a moving company. They showed up a little early and we were not ready so they waited patiently outside while we finished packing and apologized for being early. My last moving company showed up two hours late and complained the entire time they were there. Green Line was happy, personable, and incredibly efficient. I had a ton of stuff and was moving from the fourth floor and they finished the move in about two and a half hours. It took the company last year nearly 4 1/2 hours to move the same stuff. This meant that I saved around $250 using Green Line and the service was better. The icing on the cake and the reason I chose to write this review was that the leader of the moving crew did something that 99% of people would not do, he returned money to me. He originally told me that it was $398 (which I was more than happy to pay because they did a fantastic job) and we both went our separate ways after many thanks. Ten minutes later my apartment buzzer rang and it was the leader of the crew. He had realized that we had agreed on $351 and came back to hand me $47! I was amazed, the honesty left a lasting impression and ensured that I will never use a different moving company in New Jersey. In sum, Green Line is the company to use. read more

Call them First!!! Excellent service !!!! Hire them.. you won't regret it. I used them 3 times, the first time was 8 years ago, then again 5 years ago and then last month. I rented a truck from penske for an out of state move. Green line packed a 4 bedroom house perfectly. They fit everything thing in that truck. We Didnt have to leave anything behind. They even put the auto transport on the back of the truck after they packed it. After driving 1200 miles cross country I ran over a few unavoidable huge pot holes. I was sure we broke something. When we reached our destination we hired another moving company to unpack us. They were so impressed with the way green line packed the truck. Nothing broke!!! We had so much glass mirrors and glass table top. Tons of fragile items and nothing broke over 1200 miles and many huge pot holes... You can not go wrong with Green line mover. Theses guys are professional and they are reasonably priced, less than every other moving company we got quotes from. I can not say enough.. My only regret is that I didn't hire them for the entire move. I spent more on hotels, gas and the other movers than I would have if I had Green line do the entire move. I could not be more impressed with the service I received from Greenline. I had never hired movers so I was a bit nervous about what to expect, but these guys were fantastic. Boris, the dispatcher, gave me a quote within minutes and answered all of my questions. On top of being the cheapest quote out of 4 other companies I contacted, the service was impeccable. John and his crew arrived at 8:50am to park the car on the busy two way street I lived on in the Upper East Side. They began moving at 9am sharp and did not complain once when they realized I had a LOT of stuff for a NYC studio apt. They wrapped the furniture with expert care and not one item was ever damaged or scratched. John even helped my mother take down my complicated Ikea curtain rod because we did not have an allen wrench-talk about above and beyond. John could not have been more friendly, helpful or nice. My mom talked about how great the crew was for about 2 days after the move. The truck was packed so professionally and quickly. They unloaded at my new apartment so quickly. I have had the worse experience with them. My friend had a problem with the movers located in Maryland, so I spoke with them. They were not helpful to say the least so I moved on to the Internet to see if I could speak with the corporate office. As you can see, the name on this NJ company is Green Line Moving Corp. So I was under the impression that I would be speaking with the Corp. company. Boy was I shocked, I spoke with a gentleman who was less then helpful, once I realized that I was not speaking with the corporate office, I asked the gentleman for the corp. office number, he read me back the number that I called. I heard laughing and was asked questions that had nothing to do with my problem. I was then told that the owner of the company was in Israel and with a laugh "wouldn't be reached". I feel as if my needs weren't met because I was a "silly women". But I was told by my father that a strongly worded letter and word of mouth does wonders. As a 29 year old women I have a lot of friends that are planning on moving, they have lost out on a number of jobs and business with this. Social networking is a lovely thing. read more

After calling several local companies, providing my info and not getting a call back, I tried giving Green Line Moving a call. Alex answered right away, gave me a quote, and was able to confirm my movers for the next morning ( it was a rush job, small, local move ). The quote was very reasonable. Movers arrived on time, 4 workers with a clean truck. They were all very polite, fast, hard working and very helpful. There were some loose items I didn't get a chance to pack and they offered to use some empty bins and helped me pack. Everything went very smoothly and it was a big relief for me to finally get the moving job done and over with, without having to worry about watching over the workers. I felt they were trustworthy and professional and knew what I wanted after I explained where things would go. They finished earlier than I expected, which was great. I have nothing but praise for Alex and his movers. My husband and I were in a difficult situation as our previously hired movers turned out to be the worst of its kind and showed up 9 hours late only to show their attitude. I looked up Green Line Moving Corp through Google and surprising Alex the manager picked up the call even after working hours. I explained my situation and he tried his level best to help me with my move the next day. Just so you all understand, it was the first Friday of August and most of the movers including this team was already booked for the entire weekend. However, Alex and his team kept my request and helped me with my move in the evening hours. All of the movers are professional, nice and cooperating. Green Line Moving Corporation really is as good as it gets! It was pouring rain the day of my move and not one possession got wet! They brought 4 movers to make the move go faster. They had dozens of dollies and blankets and huge rolls of plastic wrap. No detail was overlooked. Most importantly, they had impeccable manners. Not fake nice manners, but honest to goodness beautiful manners based on caring for another human being's welfare. It was a privilege to welcome them as the first guests in my new home. They placed everything exactly where I wanted it, and even put together furniture for me. I am an amputee with limited use of my fingers, so dealing with furniture can be a challenge. I use a shower bench, and the new bathroom is oriented differently than my former shower. They were so kind as to re-do the shower bench's orientation so I could use it in my new shower. I absolutely loved the company's service. The guys were quiet, quick, and efficient. It was 8am on Saturday when they started working and my neighbors didn't say a single word. This is in stark contrast to when we were moving into, our now old apartment-neighbors told us to try and be a little less noisy as it was again the weekend and early in the morning. The movers finished in less time than projected, three hours (which is the minimum that you have to pay). Every labeled box was placed in the correct room. They wrapped all the furniture and electronics with blankets to make sure they weren't damaged. This was really the best moving company I've worked with. Usually movers request payment before unloading the possessions, however in this case they placed all of our possessions in the right rooms first, and then they requested payment. :) I would highly recommend this moving company to anyone who wants a fair price, no hidden fees and an overall efficient move. Moved on 6/16/2017 from Bedminster, NJ to Westfield, NJ. Alex came to our house and gave us a flat-rate quote. We later asked that they pick up a large dresser from my brother's house. He added it to the quote (+$88). LOVED the flat-rate. No stress. They moved everything carefully and methodically with 5 very courteous workers. Gave them (what I hope they consider) generous tips. They made two trips. And picked up a dresser at another location. All for lowest price we were quoted (one other place gave similar quote though not flat-rate). Never had such a calm move. Workers were polite and attentive. Good price. Great service. Flat rate. They do want you to box everything that is in drawers (like clothes), which other movers didn't request. But they shrinkwrap all furniture and take great care with everything. Should also be noted they want a cashier's check/cash as payment, which is not unusual. Highly recommend to ANYONE moving. Mo and his assistant were totally awesome!!! I moved from a one bedroom to another one bedroom to a different township in NJ ( about 41 minutes apart). From start to finish they were amazing ( please note: you tell them all you have in the beginning). They were estimated to arrive by 8AM, they were in traffic and called to say they were 12 minutes away, and they were. Arrived when they said they would. They secured all of my big furniture and took all of the boxes I had. They arrived before me at the new place. ( I'm a slow driver..lol). I was in my place very fast. They set up my bed and desk and placed the other pieces where I needed them to be without any hesitation. I would highly recommend their services. We have moved 5 times in the last 8 years and these guys are the best in our experience; much better than the likes of Dumbo Moving. They finished a heavily loaded one bedroom to a double bedroom including partial packing, disassembly, reassembly of furniture, destruction and disposal of old furniture (to the building dumpster) within 4.5 hours in Jersey City. This is the first time we felt that we were not ripped off by the movers! Green line moving Corp is as good as it gets! Before moving I contacted several companies in the area, and they offered me the quickest and lowest quote in the market. On the day of the move, they were punctual and proceeded to load everything fast and effectively. I was moving to a three-story building and was afraid this would create a problem. Green Line Movers were very professional and managed to take everything up without much issue. There were only a few pieces of furniture that couldn't fit through the narrow stairway. However, the moving team quickly proceeded to disassemble the pieces so that they could be carried upstairs and subsequently reassembled them once in its place.
