I went here just to get a car wash but let me tell you they went up and beyond what they had to do. My car was so dirty from the last snow storm and I just couldn't even see well enough to get in the car wash straight . A very nice gentleman saw as I was struggling and came out not only to reset the wash ( timed out as I was having such issues getting in and out ). He took the time to assist guide and all this while having a ton of patience with me. I took my vehicle to GMAW because i t was running rough, most of the time and had a check engine light. Sometimes it would run just fine. I told them I thought maybe it was a fuel injector or coil going bad, but wanted a professional diagnosis. The initial estimate to diganose it was $179. The next day I got a call saying they needed another $179. I said OK. Then I got a call saying it has a stuck valve and needs an engine replacement. I went and picked it because I was skeptical. I took it somewhere else and it was diagnosed as a bad ignition coil, very quickly. They replaced it and runs great again. So I paid $358 for a completely wrong diagnosis and they won't refund my money. $358 right down the drain. I will NEVER go back there for anything. read more

We had a heater coolant line break which caused most all the coolant to pour out on the ground. This happened as we were travelling through Denver. I took it to Green Mountain Auto repair based on O'REILLY emplyes recommendation. The service manager was upfront in saying he wasn't sure if he could do the repairs same day, but would try. Try they did and were successful in installing new, upgraded GMC connectors. We are very grateful and pleased with the service provided. The cost was reasonable. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them. read more

When you come and ask a business for help and they stop, look you in the eye, talk to you, answer questions and then tell you that it is way more affordable in your own state and your long drive home is good... this is a spot I would hands down return to. I can only assume that any 5 star review are of employees or paid friends of employees. I received the most unprofessional auto service in my 50 years from this facility. I dropped off a friend who was to have service here (they ultimately decided not to). While dropping this person off I asked WADE if they service large Mercedes Sprinter Vans, as I have had a difficult time finding a shop that actually does. Wade said, "Yes, of course we do" I said, "are you sure, as I have a check engine light on and possible coolant leak and I have had a hard time finding someone that does" His response should have been a clue, he was smug and seemed to be offended that I asked, are you sure, because he said, "Yes, of course, we have a really big shop back there". I then made it home and called back to schedule a drop of time. I spoke with Todd, the GM, and expressed what I needed, he said "Sure bring it in". After dropping the van, It took 24 hours later and Todd called me back saying that they pulled codes on the van and it turns out that they need the van needs to be serviced by a Licensed Mercedes Mechanic and that they could not perform the work. When I picked up the van after spending a few days finding a reliable mechanic that could actually do the work, Todd hands me a bill for $140 and said it was for the diagnostic. I said that is ridiculous that they assured me they could do the work and then end up not doing it, I wasted a great deal of time by their unreliability and lack of knowledge of their own capabilities. Todd was not going to wave the fee so I argued more and then ASKED for a discount, he gave me $20 which was not sufficient. He was extremely rude and simply could not understand why I was upset that they assured me they could do work, then tell they can't and then try to charge me a diagnostic for work that they CAN'T perform. In my line of work I spend a GREAT deal of my own time consulting with prospective clients to determine if I can solve their problems. If I deem I cannot solve their problem, I do NOT charge that time for my evaluation or consulting. Todd did NOT have my best interest in mind, he was ONLY concerned about making a quick buck. I am happy to have pat the $120 if just one person reads this review and DOES NOT use this shop for their service, they do not care about you, they do not wish to solve any problems you have, you are simply one large DOLLAR $IGN to them the second you walk in the door. There are way too many honest mechanics out there, I urge you to do your research and due diligence. If you HAVE to use them make sure you get in writing that you will NOT pay any diagnostic fees if THEY choose or can not do the work on your vehicle. It is this type of establishment that makes it extremely difficult for people to trust mechanics. PLEASE learn from my mistake and DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CAR WITH GREEN MOUNTAIN AUTO WORLD! read more

NEVER GO HERE!!! Had my oil changed a little over a month ago and asked them to perform a full diagnostic on my car before doing a long drive. As of yesterday my Subaru Foresters engine completely bricked. Shop in Durango said it's because it ran out of oil. Had the vehicle for 5 years and never had it run through oil this quickly. Oil light never turned on and I put oil in the engine before driving through the mountains. When I called I was given the run around when I was just legitimately asking for help with the situation. All the guy at the front kept saying was, "well how did all the oil burn up." I'm not a car person, so I can't answer in specific details on how a problem my vehicle has never had in the LAST 5 YEARS. I guess they only stand by their service when it's convenient. I have recommended them to dozens of people who have always been pleased with their car service. It was my pleasure to be Todd's principal at Warren Tech where he was a top graduate in the state auto mechanical contests on his way to ASE certification. He & his dad, Mark, are two of the most gifted & talented mechanics in Colorado. I give them 1 because I can't rate them -5, this place is disgusting, called me and quoted me for a full service with parts for a price and when I got there told me that they didn't have to use any parts, charged me the same price as they quoted and a couple hours after I left, check engine came back up, when I ask for my money back they told me that the best they could do was charge me another 200 dlls to fix what they didn't fix the first time and tried to talk to me as they were doing me a favor, when I asked the owner why would they quote me for something and then do something else WITHOUT MY APPROVAL, he said, because that's what your car needed, obviously not because they just deleted the codes, took my car to another shop and the other shop stated that green mountain barely touched my car, DONT GO HERE this people are thieves. read more

I live in Green Mountain and had to take my jeep to get worked on. Not sure what the issue was. They charged me I think like 136 bucks just to tell me that it needed a new engine but they didn't know what the problem was he said it was gonna cost about 10 grand we took the jeep to a jeep dealership, and all that needed too be replaced was a recalled part that need to be exchanged. Brought a car in for estimate - prices were more than DOUBLE what two competing firms quoted. When I had tow truck pick up vehicle from shop, after refusing service, they refused to release vehicle. Had to contact Lakewood Police Department to resolve and inform company of proper legalities that they were in violation of. Kendra, the receptionist was woefully uninformed, rude, and combative. This shop is criminally overpriced, and they use thug-tactics for business. AVOID AVOID AVOID. To clarify - no contract with firm - no signed agreement for any charges whatsoever. Update - the owner lies about statutes and his responsibility - they did not reassemble the car for the next shop, leaving rags shoved into the car. I provided no authorization for ANY repairs, and the statute the owner refers to states clearly that such authorization MUST be provided, which he seems to overlook. We ended up taking the vehicle to Brakes Plus who completed all of the services quoted by Green Mountain and additional work at less that 1/2 the price, and with no attitude. Final word - if you take your vehicle to Green Mountain Auto World, you will be disappointed with the work, insulted by their attitude, and ripped-off for more than double competing firms. read more

The oil shop these guys run is great; I've never had a bad experience in the 3 years that I have been using them. The mechanics that have worked on my vehicle have without-fail come across as honest and kind. I've never felt like they were trying to up-sell me, which at a car shop, is saying something. I had my brakes done by the auto shop and my experience with them was largely the same. It wound up being more expensive than the quote I was given, but I didn't feel ripped-off. read more

I was trying to decide between the following subject lines: "I would not trust these guys to work on my big wheel" "Green Mountain Auto - requires courses in anger management and customer service" "Green Mountain Auto - where the possibility of verbal and physical assault comes standard with every service" Green Mountain Auto is incompetent and will not stand behind their warranty. To make a very long, frustrating story short - most everything they attempted to fix on my vehicle failed. Installed a new engine - leaking from rear main seal and oil pan Installed a new starter - starter failed Installed a new throttle body - throttle body failed. All of these "failures" occurred within the warranty period listed on the invoices. Every time I brought an issue to the attention of the owner, the owner grew increasingly frustrated and was beyond rude. They can't understand the frustration of the customer bringing their vehicle back to the shop again and again and again. They will not take ownership of their work. Stay away from this mechanic. Unless you like to throw your hand-earned money away. They will try and turn the blame back on the customer. Do your homework - check out the other reviews on Yelp (see un-recommended reviews section), google reviews, and the BBB. read more

Just left this car wash. For $8.00 you get a car wash with NO AIR DRY. What a rip off. Machine is old and antiquated, as well.

I don't even know where to start. Just stay away from these guys, if you do go there you will feel the anger coming off the guy at the front desk, why you mad bro, I'm the one getting ripped off here? They took me for a lot of money which I'll describe below. My car had never broken down until I pulled out of their shop and it broke down on that drive home. I got the car back to them and they literally insisted on charging me the diagnostic fee again on the same day that they had already charged me one. Just incredible. I was charged something in the neighborhood of 550 to install a battery, so ya know, 350 for the battery, 200 dollars to loosen those two bolts. How much is an engine rebuild, three hundreds of thousand of dollars? Then after I came to pick up my ultra deluxe battery installation the tech who handed me my keys told me it was running like crap, umm yeah I know that's why I brought it here. I bring it back later and after charging the diagnostic fee again because, ya know that was a different problem than the battery, they told me it would be 500 dollars to install my fuel injector. Sounded ok so I went ahead and did it, but then 6 months later I wanted to figure out how to do it to replace the others, each fuel injector is 2 screws and one plastic clip, 15 min install if things go poorly for myself an unskilled amateur, they charged 500 for that. When they installed my smartstart they told me they had to disconnect the ignition kill switch in order to install the device, I asked him to his face, you'll be able to hook it back up right? Yes of course. Now two years later I get the smart start taken out and surprise surprise the exact same person who told me it wouldn't be an issue at all looks at me like I'm speaking latin when I ask him if they'll reinstall the ignition kill that they disconnected to install smartstart. I'm so incredibly glad I will not have to work with you guys anymore, the only reason you can get away with treating your customers like such garbage is by servicing something like smart start, people who are going through a tough time are easier to abuse aren't they. On weds Dec 23 around 11am, I got a full service oil change (took about 5 mins). Almost immediately they said my antifreeze fluid was contaminated. I wanted to see but as i approached one tech added fluid...could no longer see the foaming. They speculated someone added washer fluid by mistake. I declined on the flush. The charge was $ 40.11. I returned 1 hr later to complain when I realized the other things they missed. The manager pulled fluid out in a baster and showed me that the antifreeze was blue when it should have been green (washer fluid is blue). 2 days later at Honda I learned that Honda uses a long life antifreeze that is blue. Because it was now contaminated with green Honda recommended a flush ($ 180.00) which i did. The manager refused my request for a refund. Also they did not fill the washer fluid, clean the windows or vacum. And they did insist i needed a new fuel filter even though Honda said it was fine. read more

I dealt with Green Mtn Auto World when I had a flat tire. They had it in and done within 20 minutes. Being that it was a good experience, I took the Rav4 back with a brake issue. They had it in early am and was done by 100 pm. Great customer service and in a timely manner. The price however, was another matter. I could have taken it somewhere else and gotten it done for cheaper, but wanted to find a place to have my vehicles serviced within walking distance of my new home. Only had the front brakes done for $253! Can't imagine what it would have cost to have all four done. Service was good, price not. Green Mtn Auto, you failed. I just had some electrical work done and got an issue with my HVAC fixed. I dropped off my car, got it fixed, and picked it up in 5 hours! On the way out, they noticed that one of my tail lights was out and fixed it for free. Awesome service. I'd definitely bring my car back here. read more

This place is the worst place you could possibly go for repairs. Highly expensive, inexperienced and extra long waiting times. It's the kind of place that has a bad reputation in the local community. If my vehicle broke down near this shop, i'd rather pay 75 dollars to tow it somewhere else! I'm not even kidding, their service is that bad. It's 'that' kind of mechanic, the one where you drop something off with a simple problem and they will balloon it into a 700 dollar solution, reaching in your pocket and taking at least 100 for their trouble of bothering with you if nothing else! They are so sinister I wouldn't trust them with my vehicle overnight. You might just find that it leaves with more problems than it had when you dropped it off. Buyer beware. Summary: Green Mountain Auto recommend $1800 in repairs that I later discovered was not needed. A BBB A+ rated shop even questioned that the work they claimed to have done was ever actually performed. My vehicle developed significant road noise and I took it to Green Mountain Auto World because it was close to home and I thought I would give them a try. They came back to me saying not only did I need both my front bearings replaced but also all four struts replaced and adjust my alignment for a grand total of $1800. I told the shop to hold off on repairs until I called back (so that I could call other shops to get quotes for the work). When I found a significantly lower price at a local reputable shop I called Green Mountain Auto World back and told them I just wanted to pay the diagnostic fees because I would be taking my car elsewhere. To my surprise I was told that it was too late and that work had already begun on my car. I told them to stop whatever they were doing because I was going to come pick up the car anyways. I took my car to a BBB A+ rated shop, and told them I needed bearing work, struts replaced and my alignment done. To my surprise the new shop called me that night and told me that the only thing my car needed was an alignment (for $60). My struts were fine and my bearings were in good shape. In addition to that, the new shop told me it looked like the bearing Green Mountain Auto World claimed the repaired had not even been touched. In short, it sure seems like Green Mountain Auto World wanted to take me to the cleaners for work that didn't need to be done, and possibly charged me $350 for work they never performed. I made a very polite call to the owner of Green Mountain Auto World to request a refund for the work (because there were significant doubts that is was needed, or even performed). The owner was extremely belligerent on the phone and refused to reasonably address my concerns. All I can do now is to put a stop-payment on my credit card and file a complaint with the BBB. Be very careful before going to Green Mountain Auto World. In my experience they will recommend expensive work that may not need to be performed and if there are problems deal rudely with you and in my experience wrong you greatly. read more

I recently took out Van in for new head light bulbs since we were giving it to our grandson.We flew my daughter up from Tulsa and she drove it back home.On her trip back the turn signal light lens fell off. The manager at the store said that the new bulbs and the lens fall off were not related. Very bad costumer service. Said they found a nail in tire and charged $15 to patch without even talking to me. THen gave me rediculous quotes on things that needed to be done to my truck that I just had done six months ago. IT's like they didn't even look at it. Took 2.5 hours to get my oil changed and they didn't even call me when it was done. Service was terrible and quality of work was worse. Never go here!!!! read more
