Cleaner arrived 30 mins late, after they called saying she's outside I waited 10 more mins. She did a good job cleaning overall but did not finish the kitchen, no interior fridge or freezer was done despite being quoted. I paid +$100 after arrival for the extra time which I understand given the amount of work, but the window sills are still dirty as is the fridge/freezer and I did not get what I paid for. When I came back to check in 3 hours into the clean, the cleaner didn't look at me or talk to me as I came in and asked how it's going. I was understanding when the cleaners arrived an hour late and left after only two hours, but when I did a thorough walkthrough of the house after they had left, I was shocked at how much was left unattended. We hired cleaners after a home renovation as part of their move in package. However, there was still dust on our light switches and sink faucet. It looks like they had not cleaned the dishwasher at all though it was included in the quote. The cleaners also managed to pull our window off the railing so we'll need our contractor to fix this for us. I communicated to the cleaning manager that I would only pay half the quote due to the repair and cleaning quality. I was hoping to work with a cleaner I could rehire for everyday cleaning once we moved in but this is not it. It looks like the manager offers to resend her cleaners to redo work that's missed, but when you commit to a service you should get it right the first time. WARNING: Sunshine Cleaning Services operates WITHOUT valid insurance Despite receiving what appeared to be a "certificate of liability insurance", I later discovered this document was not issued by any legitimate insurance company. Their previous insurer had actually dropped them (confirmed via email directly from the insurance company). I unfortunately learned this the hard way after their cleaners damaged my wood floors and table with harsh chemicals. The cleaners concealed the damage at the time, which I only discovered after they left (after I had already paid and tipped them). I'm now pursuing legal action to recover over $20,000 in damages. Lidia was initially very responsive and had the lowest quoted rate ($260 for a move out.) The day of the cleaning the cleaners arrived on time and spent about an hour and 45 minutes for a move out. Overall, they were fast and friendly, however, for a move out cleaning, they did not do a very good job. Additionally, though maybe not intentionally, they took some of the cleaning supplies that belonged to me and left sponges in some of the cabinets. Overall I would recommend a different cleaning service. Lidia's team is good for last minute bookings but I ended up having to clean the apartment again myself and would probably have been better off using a more expensive company. read more

I'm personally not a fan of a middle management for any services and especially not for cleaning services, but Alberto was quick to respond and to give me a quote for the services, though it does cost extra for outdoor cleaning. The reason why I'm docking one star is because I'm not sure how they break down their service, by labor, hour, square footage, etc. It would be nice to see a breakdown of rates on Yelp or when we begin talking over texts and phone. However, I'm really impressed that Alberto generally responds within 10-15 min and at the latest, within an hour or so. I appreciate effective and speedy responses from Alberto. The two cleaners that came in were a family and super friendly and genuine to work with - they finished two decently large bathrooms, two 7x8 ft balconies that haven't been cleaned in two years, and vacuumed my newly installed stairwell carpet in my townhome condo and did an immaculate job. Overall the cost was $180 for everything inside (but deep cleaning of all specified areas) + $100 for the two balconies (another reason I docked a star is because I didn't know it was added on). The family team finished in under 2 hours and did a great job of drying my balcony and bathroom tiles as I specified them to. The total was $280, which I feel is very steep given the prices of really excellent cleaners in the city who are unfortunately not taking new clients or listing on Yelp, Google, etc (the true hidden gems that their recurring client base refuses to give up on!) TLDR: quick, very clean and detailed cleaning, and efficient service, great response time and quick to schedule. The gentleman I spoke with when I booked assured me the DEEP cleaning would be no problem. I explained why I needed the DEEP cleaning, and everything I needed to be done. I also reiterated everything I needed done to the cleaners themselves when they arrived, in person. But, they "forgot." I WAS offered a discount, but AFTER I had already paid them! I paid the cleaners cash, and they were long gone by the time the discount was offered. When I reported this to the owners, did they offer to then reimburse me the discount amount they offered? NOPE. 3 stars for responsiveness and showing up. Minus 2 stars for quality of work, value, and follow-up. I submitted a request for a deep clean quote via Yelp and ultimately the fast, detailed response times convinced me to try this service. Their pricing was mid-range: not the lowest, not the most pricey quote. The 2 cleaners showed up, with equipment, at the agreed upon time-- and proceeded to do the minimum required. I'll admit, our 1br place was in need of a deep clean and I expected to pay extra for the service. However, the only thing I would say was truly spectacular was the fact that they cleaned the inside of my fridge (as explicitly agreed to prior to coming). Otherwise, desktops and dresser tops weren't wiped, frames and surfaces weren't dusted, floors were lightly wiped off (I had to follow up with a swiffer in the kitchen), and none of the inside windows weren't windexed. In fact, their appearance inspired us to spend a few hours to tidy up and finish the work they started. Mind you - we were asked to pay extra since the cleaners felt our place needed more work. For $240 for an 800 square foot apartment with no pets, we expected more. We certainly didn't expect to have to dust and swiffer after they came. I also sent the company several photos of the incomplete work and never received a response. I would say their service was perfectly average - they show up, they clean, they didn't appear to break anything; but I don't plan to be a repeat customer given that value received didn't meet the price. read more

ONE stat for quick response at the beginning. I choose their services because of so many five stars reviews plus the owner's good responses at the beginning (The first two pictures). HOWEVER, I REGRET IT. First, two ladies were 15 minutes LATE from the scheduled time (2 pm). When they looked around my kitchen, one of the ladies asks me if I need to clean the inside of the refrigerator. I told them no need. Just clean the sink, gas stoves, and range hood are fine. So they took pictures of dirty areas. And they started to spray the cleaning stuff all around my kitchen. I saw one of the ladies also trying to clean the microwave (you know pressing the microwave the sounds is loud). I assumed they will clean up my kitchen so I go back to my room. Around 2:43 pm, I walked back to my kitchen, the same lady who ask me at the beginning, tells me NO CLEANING because too dirty. I was so surprised. During the conversation, she also tries to call her boss but no one answers. I understand my place is dirty if they can not do it that's fine. But before they leave, I figured out there were bubbles on the surface of the range hood. The same lady takes a towel from her bucket, wipes it, and tells me 'just a little bit'. All right, I let them go. And the conversation was still ok between the owner and me (the third picture). I organize my stuff and try to look up a new cleaning company. It should be the end. Unfortunately, I found that my microwave cannot be used anymore on the second day. (In the day time,) The microwave is UNPLUGGED before I use it. So I plugin and set 1min for my milk. Well, my milk smells off after I heat it. And the microwave smells so bad with strong chemicals. I realize is the cleaning stuff from yesterday. Luckily, I did not drink it otherwise I might in hospital. I open the microwave the whole day. When I use it again at night, I thought the microwave gonna burst in front of me. It was FLASHING AND BURNING. The only thing I can do is take off the plug. And here are the conversation about the microwave. As a customer, I assume I will get a better solution for this type of UNPROFESSiONAL SERVICES. Although the service was canceled, they should clean up the things that they use in my kitchen. OR, at least tell me and I WILL CLEAN THEM BEFORE I USE. I still cannot understand why they were starting if they know they cannot handle the situation. Congrats! We agreed on 9:30 and they came a couple of minutes before 10:00. It's fine but a little bit miffed because I'm pregnant and have a toddler and a crazy puppy to take out so the household relies on timing. It's fine though since the ladies seemed nice and and went straight to cleaning. Left and told them to let us know when they're about done so we can come back, check and pay. Told us they'll be done in 1 to 1 1/2 hours which left us skeptical for a 2 bedroom den. Although it wasn't dirty and cluttered, it's still a lot of space to cover. But hey, not complaining about fast cleaning- if it's effective! Came home a little before 11:30 and the cleaners were already gone. Not an issue although I did ask that they text once they're about to leave. As customary for me, I checked behind the sofa and between the sofa and side table and it was clear they weren't moved or cleaned. I did the swipe test with wet paper towel on the floor and it was clearly not wiped. The products I gave them to use didn't move from the spot I left them and the consoles were still dusty. The shower wasn't touched at all. I hope we are just unfortunate and this isn't their norm but beware of surface fast cleaning. The owner was receptive and respectfully communicated about the issue therefore we gave the 2 stars. Update: In response to owner: Were they going to do the whole floors again? They knew as I told them that I was taking out the baby and my barky dog so they can clean in peace. I told you not to make them go back anymore because it's hard being 6 months pregnant and trying to contain my 1 year old and dog at the same time. I was trying to be polite and hoped that this is not a norm in your business but I also told your colleagues to let me know when they're done and they didn't- led me to believe they did in fact pull a fast one in the apartment. DO NOT USE SUNSHINE. My landlord hired them to do a deep clean before our move out and here are some serious reasons to consider OTHER cleaners. Please also check out the other 1 star reviews! - We asked for a move out clean and the house was not deep cleaned at all. You can see from several photos attached that they did not do a good job or clean thoroughly. If it was one or two things - I'd get it. But see the photos yourselves. - The owners and the cleaning team LIED!! When I asked why these areas hadn't been cleaned, they claimed someone was coming in and out of the house moving stuff. We have cameras inside the house that showed no one had been in there for weeks and Sunshine's cleaning team was the only one inside. In fact, I even have camera footage of them SKIPPING the cleaning of some of the kitchen cabinets. Even after bringing this to Alberto's attention, there was no apology but instead, I as the client, was blamed for different things. Alberto came across defensive and did not even try to listen. Camera footage and photos don't lie. - They wanted to charge for EXTRA cleaning and told us 20 minutes before they were done. They had taken 4 hours already and clearly from the photos, didn't do good job but wanted to charge for "extra cleaning" they did. Lidia's reasoning for the extra charge was because they didn't know our house was 3 stories but being on the phone with Alberto, he confirmed with me that they had cleaned our house several times before! He then proceeded to say the last time they cleaned our house was Feb 2021 and they did a great job which couldn't be true because no one was around to even let them in during the month of Feb. And again, camera footage doesn't lie. So what Lidia and Alberto said contradicted with their excuses. - The cleaning team did not do a good job vacuuming but said the left behind dirt on the floor was because of the condition of the floor. I showed them how easily it was for me to pick up dirt, leftover crumbs, and small things from the floor and throw it away. I called Alberto to explain and he didn't listen to my side at all. I even sent him a video of me going around the house picking up dirt from the floor to prove that it was dirt/crumbs/etc that could be cleaned and not the floor condition itself. I got more excuses saying it wasn't the cleaning team's fault and that the cleaning team would not be able to re-clean because they had another job to get to. - Lack of communication. We had confirmed the cleaning date and time and were texted the morning before that they had to switch to a different day/time. Things happen, no problem at all. We just asked they let us know because we no longer lived at that house and would need time to drive to the site to let them in for cleaning. On the day of the rescheduled cleaning, they texted they were already at the house which was two hours before the scheduled cleaning time. We somehow got someone else to let them in but reminded them to text us when they were close to being done so we could arrive promptly to pay them and do a walk through. They did not give us a head's up and instead we were met with a half hour of going back and forth with Alberto and his team with no apology or resolution to a still dirty house. We ended up paying for the full cleaning because so much time was wasted going back and forth and there was no reasoning or understanding from Alberto and team. They just wanted to get paid and leave. There was no follow up, there was no empathy, and we had to pay for another cleaning company to come back in. But when they come over they inevitably say that the house is dirtier than expected and increase the price. I now saw multiple other reviewers that complained about the same thing, I should have read reviews more carefully before hiring them. This is a bad business practice because by the time they come over to your place you are locked in and have to be at their mercy because you want the cleaning to be done. It was easy to coordinate and get scheduled with Sunshine. We requested a Move Out Deep Clean to get the apartment ready for our new tenants. It was a solid surface clean and they made sure the appliances were clean, but I would not consider it to be a "deep clean". Results: I left a quick note letting them know that the clean sheets were in the dryer (they made the bed perfectly!) and to ask them to clean under the couch cushions and bed because my allergies have gotten extremely bad the past couple of weeks and I figured that was the culprit. The apartment is absolutely SPOTLESS and they even dusted areas that are extremely hard to reach and out of the way. Our tub was disgusting and they managed to make it look brand new! Honestly, every room in this apartment looks perfect and it looks like we just moved in.
