I've always loved green tomato grill. It's super veggie friendly and the food is fresh and tasty. I've always gone to the location in Orange. A couple ago I went to the location in Brea and I was disappointed. The sweet potato fries were shorted. The box was only half full. The wrap we ordered was rolled incorrectly so each half had only parts of the ingredients. The issue is that me and my mom split it, so it was awkward to eat. Also, it wasn't dressed at all. It was super dry. It seemed more laziness on part of the staff and not related to the actual menu items. read more

Have you guys ever experienced food love? It's only happened a couple of times in my life. The first time was when I had a ridiculously good Italian sandwich. The second time I had that instant fell in love with food feeling, so I stopped at the green tomato And randomly ordered a chicken curry bowl with chickpeas. The flavor is unreal. Everything just comes together in such a delicious cinnamony spicy flavor and on a cold day it is the greatest meal! I love this bowl so much! Their chicken is always super tender and juicy, I like the way that the chickpeas at a little bit of, a different texture to the overall meal. I have never been an Indian food fan, but I am a 1000% fan of this curry bowl! read more

Came here for a late lunch for the first time in a long time. Ordered the spicy poke bowl. It was ok. The toppings and everything went well together, but it's way too salty with so much soy sauce. If you're ordering it spicy, the soy sauce should be skipped and just stick with the spicy mayo. The inside is spacious and seemed clean. I placed my order to go and it came fairly quickly. Established in 2013.

Green Tomato Grill was built around the core principals of serving fast, healthy, affordable and sustainable food to the community. We created a menu centered around unique flavors, fresh ingredients and lots of vegetables. Unlike other fast establishments, we butcher and marinate our own meat and cut all our vegetables fresh in house every day. All of our sauces are either vegetable or Greek yogurt based and also made from scratch. Everything is made to order, allowing us to serve many different special dietary needs including gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan entrées.

For a restaurant serving a full meal, we expected much better quality and flavor. To make matters worse, while eating the fries, we discovered a huge, long hair embedded in the stack. We called the restaurant, and they immediately replaced them without any issue, which we appreciated. And our waitress was attentive. However, the service overall was very slow. It took quite a while to get our drinks and then our food. After we finished dessert, we sat for approximately 15 minutes talking with our family. At that point, a man approached our table. I initially thought he was coming to apologize or check on us regarding the hair, but instead, he told us they had a large party coming and wanted us to leave. That was extremely disappointing. We had already spent a considerable amount of time and money there, and we were not lingering excessively. A simple check-in about our experience or even an apology for the hair would have gone a long way. Instead, we felt rushed out the door. The food was underwhelming, the service was slow, and the way we were asked to leave left a terrible impression. Unfortunately, this is not a restaurant I would recommend based on our experience.

Today, my daughter and I each ordered the spicy chicken tacos. The tacos are dry she said. As I finished the second taco, I said, these tacos aren't very good. I lost my appetite so did not eat the third taco. She said that the chicken was dry, too. She picked out the chicken pieces and left the soft taco shells. Her ice tea and my horchata was good. We decided to tell the cashier who was the same young man who took our order and delivered the tacos to the table. My daughter told him that she had eaten here many times and no complaints. She showed him the taco shells that were inside the container and said they were dried out. She also said that the chicken was also dry. I said that the tacos were not very good. He seemed to be listening and said that he was sorry. Pausing, we realized that he wasn't going to say anything else and we didn't have anything else to say, we placed our food containers in the trash bin, then, we left. While in the car we agreed that we could have asked for the manager. We agreed that this food was a disappointment and with no customer service response we also agreed that it's unlikely that either of us would return. read more

Excellent food profiles and options. If you're looking for healthy conscious dining, this is a good spot. I am a meat lover but the vegan burger here is better than some meat burgers I've had recently. The prices are good, but by most people's accounts, the dishes feel a little on the light side.
