This is one of our regular spots. Their food always tastes cleaner and healthier than a lot of the other options in Brea. I always go for the Chimichurri Steak Sandwich. It's a great steak sandwich with veggies on chiabatta. The only drawback if any here is that it's not the fastest service, but the store itself is nice and chill to hang out in! This is such a cute little spot. The most delicious gluten free wraps/burgers/sandwiches bowls and they even have gluten free flatbreads. So delicious... I used to loooove this place. I felt like they could do no wrong. Their flavor combinations always felt new and exciting, they would pair ingredients together that I would never think to and it worked so well in the past. Now, I feel like they overpack their bowls with rice. I probably got like 1/4 slice of a green and red bell pepper and a few shavings of cabbage. I always loved how veggie forward they were. Bowls now come out to about $17 whereas before closer to $13-14. I kept ordering from GRG even tho it's a $20 lunch everyday because I felt good ordering from GTG. AND now with aaaall the rice the dressing amount they give you does -not- give enough flavor or coat enough. Now it just tastes greasy. Super sad cuz I've been going to this place almost everyday since 2019. I will say in the last maybe 6 months their quality has changed. A couple of other coworkers noticed the same. Not sure if chefs changed or something else changed hands but I could carb load any other place in Brea for less money. I love eating at Green Tomato Grill when I'm trying to eat cleaner. I have been coming here lately after a workout at the Crunch in Placentia to grab a post workout meal. My last couple of visits, I've tried breakfast tacos, salmon miso bowl, breakfast scramble and fried green tomatoes. Everything tasted great and serving is always enough for 2 people to share if you don't want to overeat. The breakfast tacos were very tasty and love the purple corn tortillas. The breakfast scramble was good as well. I had it with bacon and it came with black beans, corn, breakfast potatoes, onions, bell peppers and shredded cheese. It was delicious with Tabasco and green hot sauce. The miso salmon bowl was also delicious and had very fresh ingredients. It had brown rice, broccoli, cabbage, edemame and avocado. The grilled salmon pieces were big and covered the whole bowl. Although the miso dressing was good, I think I would enjoy this dish more with teriyaki sauce, which I will try next time. Tje fried green tomatoes here are good and not that oily. It is served with schiracha mayo. The restaurant is pretty big with plenty of inside seating and very clean. The staff are kind and friendly. One of my visit, I was given a free lemonade because they were about to clear out their lemonade container. I thought that was such a nice gesture. I wish they would open up a Green Tomato Grill closer to home in the Long Beach, Lakewood or Cerritos area. read more

The parking lot is ample. Shopping center is a little tucked away. The food was actually pretty good! Tried the vegan char burger (had pickles, generous amount of arugula, grilled onions, vegan cheese and mushrooms. w/side of sweet potato fries and a pineapple berry lemonade. The crispy cauliflower came with ranch and buffalo, celery and carrots, got the sauce in the side. Cashier was patient and took the time to explain the menu which was v nice. I got a miso bowl with grilled chicken, my husband got Thai wrap. We also got shishito peppers. As a healthy food restaurant, the price is not expensive at all. For example, my miso bowl is $12. It has avocado, purple cabbage, broccoli, green beans, brown rice, grilled and so on. In chipotle, if you add avocado to your grilled chicken bowl is like more than $10. Even is similar price, but over here, you got 100 times better quality veggies, fresher and tastier chicken and peaceful sitting environment. It just make more sense to choose here over than another "healthier" places. Besides that, their portion is very generous. The Shishito peppers are about $5. we could only finish half box! Ordered Uber eats delivery from this place on a weekday evening. I liked the gluten free choices including gluten free flatbreads, which is hard to find at other restaurants. I had kids meal grilled cheese flatbread and vegan char burger, both were gluten free. The burger was fully loaded and so yummy. Grilled cheese was a bit dry but still acceptable. They forgot about my jasmine green tea with my meal. I was looking forward to that refreshing tea drink. Other than that forgotten drink in my delivery the food was delicious enough. Went in for the first time and ordered breakfast tacos with soyrizo. I was pleasantly surprised on how much I liked them! The chipotle cream is delicious too. I didn't try the green salsa because it looked a bit fermented (bubbly) which is ok for some but I like my salsa really fresh. I'm glad I found this place on Uber Eats. My friend Emi and I ordered on the weekend. The first day, I had the miso bowl with grilled chicken, and Emi had the chile verde bowl with grilled chicken. The miso bowl was absolutely delicious. It had avocado, broccoli, cabbage, edamame, green onion, sesame seed, nori, brown rice, and miso vinaigrette. I added grilled chicken to it as the protein. The portion size was good and filling. The miso vinaigrette was delicious. I would definitely buy a bottle of it. She was raving about how great the sauce was! The next day, I ordered a Thai peanut bowl. Emi got a chimichurri chicken melt. The Thai peanut bowl was great. The bowl had cabbage, carrot, edamame, green onion, peanut, shishito pepper, white rice, and a Thai peanut sauce. I loved the shishito peppers! They added great flavor and spice.
