Did a return visit to The Kebab Shop and the food was just as great as the first. This time, I ordered the Protein Bowl with the Chicken Shawarma and all the fixings with: Saffron Rice, Baby Greens, the Classic Bowl Toppings, with the added Feta Cheese, Tzatziki Dip, and the Fire Hummus. It was all so delicious and the portions are very generous. I also really like their Fire Chilli and Dill Yogurt, which you can actually get at the self-serve area by the soft drink machine. Trust me, you will keep going for more! The staff are pretty friendly, I really like the young lady that's there from my first visit, but my recent visit not much interaction from the staff or really a greeting. A variety of ordering options are available, including cashier, self-order kiosks, the website, and call-in. During a recent visit, I ordered the half-and-half bowl, which came with saffron rice and baby greens. My protein was the carved lamb and beef, my favorite. I also enjoyed a fountain drink and tried all the available sauces. The bowl was filled generously, as expected, just like at other locations I've been to. The meal was perfect for my appetite. The wraps are also a favorite menu item that are very filling and hearty. The fresh ingredients really stand out and satisfy the hunger. Came here for the first time. I got the chicken wrap and my sister the steak bowl. We split the feta fries on the side. Everything was really good and I enjoyed the dill yogurt and jalepenio sauces with my wrap. The steak in the bowl was very juicy and tender. The only thing both me and my sister wish was better was the amount of meat given. In my wrap I felt like I was eating more greens than protein. There wasn't a balance and the same for my sister and her bowl. Everyone was nice and the area was clean. I think I will try a plate next time and see if that's better on portion size. read more

They did have folks picking up orders throughout so we understood there were more orders being fulfilled than for just the folks in the restaurant but, 20 minutes for casual cuisine is still too long. I am sad to not have known of the grand opening in February and to not have recognized this place as a frequent San Diego visitor. As a Mediterranean food lover, I acknowledge the price appears a lot, yet the quality for my plate met its match. The falafel I had was a little extra smoked, but the overall taste was as expected. Picky eaters have their personal preferences, so I understand why some gave one or two stars. This food chain is great at its customer service, especially guiding first timers. I've been seeing a number of ads on social media for the Kebab Shop so I was excited to give it a try when I saw it had recently opened up in Brea. There are two kiosks for self-serve ordering or you can walk up to the front to place your order with a cashier. We did the latter and were greeted with a friendly welcome. Their menu offers wraps, bowls and plates and we decided to get a Bowl with Carved Rotisserie Chicken ($14) as well as a Plate with Carved Rotisserie Lamb Beef ($17.40). I got our order to-go and the food took a little under 10 minutes to prepare so I headed to their little sauce station to grab some of their Garlic Yogurt, Cilantro Jalapeño, and Chili Fire sauce. The garlic yogurt and cilantro jalapeno were my favorite of the bunch - if you like garlic, the former is especially garlicky. As for the food, I enjoyed my meal but the price felt stiff given the amount of food you get as the portion size wasn't anything sizable. Wraps and bowls do not come with a side and I was still left feeling hungry after my chicken bowl which I got with baby greens and fries as the base. Most of the other nearby Mediterranean places that have popped up around the area at least come with one side for a similar (if not cheaper) price. The chicken I got was flavorful, but some of the pieces I had were a bit on the drier side so having the sauces definitely helped and added more flavor. Overall, the food was standard and good, but I personally didn't feel like it lived up to all the social media hype I had seen leading up to it. I joke with my husband that I influenced it to come to this side of OC bc I always saw it and ate TKS in the Irvine/costa mesa side and I loved it so much I wrote to the corporate office to come to Yorba Linda side and now it's close enough in brea! lol We love their wraps!
