Disappointed all the way thru. We stopped there for lunch on Tuesday. I was enticed by the large number of ratings. Boy was I wrong! Place seems to cater to corporate lunches. Prices were $13-$15 for a small bowl of rice topped with a super small portion of meat. We had the Ahi bowl and steak bowl. We also ordered fried green tomatoes. Spent $40 on a barely edible meal. Wondering how this place could possibly earn above 2 stars. Tables were barely cleaned, even the bathroom was super dirty. What a huge disappointment for our $40 lunch. Place was awful. Just. Wow. First timer here and man was this place great! I ordered a lot because I wanted to try everything that caught my eye. I had the miso bowl with tofu not too dry but had very little sauce. I probably won't be ordering with tofu again, the tofu tasted like tater tots but maybe salmon next time, overall it was really good very earthy tasting. Side-note; the avocado that comes on this bowl is hilariously laughable as far as portions go please see the picture attached. Luckily this was a to go order and I was able to add extra avocado when I got home. My partner had the Greek chicken melt, he said it was delicious and very tangy and he would order it again immediately. That he "didn't want the flavor to end" Hummus with veggies and flat bread was okay, it was not real hummus that's for sure. If you want amazing hummus check out my favorite spot called the Hip Pea in Long Beach! The fried green tomatoes came with this amazing sauce that I could not put my finger on it was very cajuny and it remind me of a light chipotle sauce. Would definitely order again! Now the highlight of my meal were these amazing shishito peppers. The portions for everything (besides the itty bitty pinch of avocado) were perfect and I will definitely be coming back to try everything else soon! I had to update this: we came back and tried more goodies. The crispy chickpeas were amazing! Tiny little crispy and salty pieces of heaven. The calamari burrito was so good but I added a side of the habanero fire sauce and it was even better. The corn cup or esquite they make here was very inventive and delicious. I would definitely order again. The ahí tuna poke bowl I would probably avoid in the future. The rice was not properly seasoned for a poke bowl but the ingredients were fresh. The taste was just off and not genuine to poke. It should be considered just tuna on rice. Overall this place was great and amazing for vegetarians and carnivores alike. read more

Oh my goodness, it was just amazing and filling. The salmon was cooked perfectly and I ordered double salmon and it was a great portion! Customer service was great and the meal was filling and the cucumber lemonade was amazing as well. I was a big fan of the agave lime vinaigrette when I had stopped in the first time and had that instead and it went well with the bowl. I've always loved Green Tomato Grill. The food is generally healthier, and still super tasty. My favorite things off the menu are the fried green tomatoes (A MUST) and the southwest chicken salad. I've tried other items but those are my go to! My only reason for giving it four stars is because ai tried the blackened salmon tacos and they were extremely dry, not a big fan. This place makes it to one of my favorites. Post 12 hour shift and was just craving for something hearty but healthy. A friend suggested this place so I wanted to try. Cute little spot. Plenty of indoor seating but they also have this small picnic area outside for additional seating. We ordered two of their bowls. You pick which bowl you want and then customize it with your choice of protein. The BBQ bowl with crispy tofu was delicious. Let's talk about that crispy tofu though... because that surprised me. It is perfectly crisp and flavorful. Also got their miso bowl with chicken and that was yummy. I enjoyed my food so much, I added a Thai bowl with crispy tofu to go and also got one of their double chocolate vegan cookies. They also serve breakfast options here. I came here once in 2017 before a hike and loved it, and then in 2018 once, enjoyed it then too, and found myself here on several occasions in 2021 for cleaner and delicious options. I'm honestly thinking about what I want to get the next time I come back. They have bowls, salads, chef specials, wraps, stews. Different protein options too, salmon, chicken, pork, beef, and tofu. Bowls - surf and turf bowl and salmon miso bowl are my top two. I love their rice, the way the proteins and veggies are cooked. When it all comes together, it's super tasty, and I end up finishing it all the time. Wraps - Chicken melt and pulled pork melt. Both so good and so different, of course. The chimichurri chicken melt is better of the two - hefty portions. I always say I'm going to try something new, which I guess I have a couple of times, but I keep going back to the usuals cause I crave it. A good runner up is the Miso Bowl with Grilled Salmon. This location is found in a stand-alone building off of Tustin Ave across from the Toyota of Orange. Such a yummy place! I love that all the ingredients are so fresh and tasty. I am trying to be healthy lately and I am so happy this place is near by and not super pricey! I ordered the turkey sausage burrito and it was so so scrumptious!! Also, HUGE! I had got done with a hike though so I ate the whole thing (don't judge) I didn't feel that bad because it's very healthy and my body didn't feel gross after with added grease, etc. I would highly recommend this burrito! I am so excited to try more from the menu. Everything seems so BOMB!! I ordered over Yelp and the whole experience was super easy! One thing I will say is that they forgot to give me any sauce. I asked to get extra sauce on the side and I ended up getting none. I would just ask the staff to pay attention to the special instructions. Came in for a quick bit and was blown away by the cool decor and upbeat music playing. When ordering the lady helping me was energetic and very friendly she made sure to get our order right because I have allergies to cilantro. I think her name was Aliyah. The other people at the front seemed happy so I can assume it's a great place to work at. Aliyah was also the person who brought out our food and came with a smile. Very friendly My food came out quick and was delicious I normally don't finish all my food but I cleaned my plate. I would definitely recommend coming to eat here. I had the Chili Verde bowl (avocado, black bean, onion, corn, bell pepper, cilantro lime rice & chile verde sauce) with grilled steak with lemonade (I can't remember the exact flavor but I believe it was seasonal strawberry). The lemonade was very refreshing and my favorite part. I have no complaints about the food, service, parking, or anything like that, just that it didn't knock me out and make think "wow, I should always eat here when I'm in the area" or "I go could for GTG" and make it a point to drive to the area. It's basically good quality mall food court food, which isn't a bad thing but for me its biggest selling point is quality for convenience. I am a huge fan of green tomato. I have replaced all other "traditional" fast food restaurants with this restaurant. Very happy with the quality, the gluten-free options, the taste and overall healthy feel of the food. I did not give five stars because of the curbside pick-up glitch. I hope management sees this so this issue can be resolved. I ordered from this location after an outpatient surgical procedure, and opted for "curbside pickup," provided my vehicle description, including color, make and model, even tipped a couple bucks for the person who would be bringing this order to my car. The order confirmation said a time, I arrived a couple minutes before and waited in the marked "curbside pickup" space. After a few minutes past the pickup time I had to look up the restaurant's phone number on Google. I then called, only to have and answering machine pick up. I hung up, called back a couple minutes later, a young lady answered, I asked her how to get my curbside pickup order, she sounded thoroughly confused saying they do not have curbside pick up, I told her I was in the curbside parking spot, clearly marked by a sign that said "curbside pickup," she asked my name and said I'm supposed to call upon arrival, as they have "no way of knowing you're here." I would expect the curbside signage to reflect this process, or the order app itself. I opt for curbside pickup at multiple retailers, they all have clear processes to follow. This was and unfortunate experience, hopefully management will see this and work to correct it, it's an easy fix. read more
