Crispy Chicken
Shana R.

We came here for OC restaurant week and so glad we chose this spot to try! While not a vegan, I don't eat meat, and this place hit the spot. Service was super friendly and helpful. We ordered the crispy chicken, recommended by one of the staff, orange chicken, and milk tea with clear boba. The crispy chicken was it for me. So crispy, light, and delicious. The sauce on the Orange chicken wasn't too sweet, just how I like it. I would pass on the milk teas if you're used to the traditional ones from the boba shops. Milk tea here is lighter with a jasmine flavor. Will absolutely be back!

Looking for a quick, casual spot to get some solid vegan food? This is it! The type of place where you order at the counter, take a number, then take a seat. Ample seating inside with a little stage for some sort of open mic night. There is also outside seating. Friendly service, cool and modern ambiance, chill place to gather with friends. The wonton soup hit the spot on a chilly night, the wontons were hearty and delicious, the veggies were fresh. The orange chicken was solid, my husband enjoyed it with the rice. Egg rolls were great! Matcha smoothie was ok but I wouldn't order it again.

All I can say is chili oil! lol I've had the food at Vegan District before. It's good! This time, Vegan District had a booth at a vegan event. They were selling their chili oil by the jar. My husband is obsessed with this chili oil! So, I got him a jar of it, while I was here. The lady at the booth was very kind. She had a cute stuffed bao bun. It was sooooo cute! I wanted one lol But they weren't selling those, just the chili oil. It was really neat finding them at the vegan event.

Veggie chow mein
Kermeka D.

I loved the lychee iced tea with lychee jelly. We really enjoyed crispy chicken and oyster mushrooms. The veggie chow mein was not too oily. The beef and broccoli and green beans were okay but did not have a super flavorful sauce. This was our second time here and we brought a non-vegetarian/vegan with us. She also was a fan so we will defimitely be coming back!

Fried chicken
Tap D.

Mostly everything we ordered was great! We should have added some saucier dishes as the oyster mushrooms (table favorite) were really crispy and salty and the chicken was also pretty dry, as to be expected from a deep fried dish. The vegetables chow mein was only ok. The lychee drink was amazing with plenty of lychee! The green beans were good and so was the beef brocolli but didnt give us enough sauce to balance the other 2 dishes.

I could've sworn I wrote a review for this place, but I guess not? That's neither here nor there, but here it goes. Totally coming back to this place! This place is something straight out of SGV or Rowland Heights. The food is on part with any vegetarian place out there. The only gripe is: you can't really get anything al a carte. Well, I asked and the answer was yes, but you just don't get the rice, and you don't get any more of the dish. Kung pao tofu- filling, with a sauce that was pretty good. Orange chicken- soy based protein, very sauce heavy, but still good. Oyster mushrooms- get these and eat them all. Parking was easy. Service was good.

Solid Green Beans

Great Vegan spot Green beans were cooked perfectly Solid. I started eating before the photos thus it looks light inside the to go to box

For some reason i thought this was an accumulation of many vegan eateries, i suppose the name threw me off! It's actually just eatery. I snapped a photo of the items that I ordered. The cheese wonton was different in that it was sweet. That was a bit novel for me. Loved the crunch! I really enjoyed the crispy oyster mushroom. Surprisingly it didn't taste 'oily ' & i really enjoyed this item on the menu. The mongolian pork tasted pretty good as well, I only wished there was more fresh vegetables included in this dish. This place is worth a try if you are in the area. Friendly staff. Great service! I would say that this is a location you can take friends to who want to transition from the average western diet to a more plant-based. It's def worth a visit if you are in the area, but it's not something you'd want to eat every day.

Orange Chicken Brown Rice
Amber D.

Came here to get the restaurant week special. We were only allowed to get to go as we had arrived 20 minutes before a comedy show happening there and priority seating was for priority show patrons. Overall I enjoyed my food. I had the orange chicken which came with brown rice and dragon fruit tea. I thoroughly enjoyed my food. It was very filling and the dragon fruit tea was the right amount of sweetness. The only thing I wish came with it was some sort of vegetable. The workers there were friendly and very helpful even though we got there close to closing time.

Beef and broccoli
Frank P.

Delicious Vegan Asian food. We had the Broccoli beef, Orange chicken, and cheese wonton. The wonton were free for signing up on their website. The food here is so good. It didn't taste like it was Vegan. My lady and I shared our plates. I can't decide which plate I liked more. I'm not Vegan and both were so good. Employees here are helpful and friendly. Service was very good. My lady and I will definitely be back.

Denise H.

Definitely pretty good but I'd up the flavor and zest. Being Asian, I have a big palette and love spicy and salty flavors. This was a bit mild for me but I can taste the potential and freshness. Loved the texture of the tofu!

General Tso's Mushroom and Eggrolls
Patrick H.

What a great hidden gem. Book marked this place and decided to stop by for lunch, good idea. The service was friendly, interactive and suggested great items for my next visit. Let's start off as the egg rolls were the best egg rolls I've had in a long time. Tasty without the sauces. The General Tso Mushroom entree was equally as delicious and not over powering with flavor. Mushrooms tasted fresh and a crispy batter but not heavy. The ambiance was just my kind of vibe, cool on a hot day, music going and peaceful. Safe to say I will be back very soon. Thank you Vegan District!

My family and I went shopping in OC area back in February. We were exploring different vegan dishes and came across this on Yelp review. The ambiance is really nice and clean. You can place your order via kiosk or through the cashier. They will bring it to your table once it is ready. Ordered: Cheese Wontons (4)- Sweet vegan cream cheese, crispy with sweet and sour sauce. When it comes to vegan cheese, I often tend to stay away but this appetizer was crunchy, and filling was perfect to taste. I wished they served more pieces. Green Beans Sautéed, savory sauce, imitation ground meat - love the crunchy beans and it taste just like the Walnut Shrimp- Battered imitation shrimp, vegan sweet mayo sauce, candied walnuts, steamed broccoli. Don't be afraid to try this dish. The sweet creamy texture of this dish was delicious. Kung Pow Chicken - Sweet and savory kung pao sauce with imitation chicken, bell peppers, contains peanuts. (Spicy, Nuts) - This dish was interesting and flavorful. It tastes similar to the traditional kung pao dish. House Tofu - Savory brown sauce, fried tofu, cucumbers, carrots. (Spicy) The food was absolutely amazing. It tastes very close to non-vegetarian dishes. If you are near Knott's Berry Farm and want to eat Chinese vegan for a change, stop by here.

They have burritos, burgers, fries, nachos, and tacos with some dessert options. I'm glad there's a Mexican food place for vegetarians bc I feel bad they my gf has limited choices at most Mexican restaurants that don't have a good protein base. One girl here was awesome- so nice and sweet and worked hard to keep the restaurant clean. And was sooo attentive when we had questions or needed anything. The girl taking our order was okay..not helpful as it was our first time here. I got the mexgogi burrito. I Was really excited to try a vegan Korean fusion burrito....buuuut... Was really disappointed...lacked flavor. I didn't even taste a lot of the ingredients and it was a tad dry. The green salsa they serve on the side helped give it some flavor. The bulgogi was tasty but since the pieces were so small, the bland rice and beans took over. Total bummer. I did taste the jalapeño but not a ton of siracha eel sauce or cucumbers. (I forgot cucumbers were even in it...) Seats aren't all that comfy...soo prolly best to get it to go. If give it another shot...just order something else.

It was pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon! We came in around 12ish and we were able to get a table. Everything smelled so good and hearing the sizzling plates come by made me even more excited! We got 4 dishes: bun bo hue, mi xao mem, nem nuong cuong, and their fried tofu Bun Bo Hue: Great clean flavor! A little bland but nothing like adding their chili oil that fixed it! Once I added that in it was so good, I love it! Mi Xai Mem: Their fried noodle; this came on a sizzling plate with a great sauce. UGH so good, my fiance did right by ordering this, I had to have a small bowl of it too because of how flavorful it was! The veggies had the slight crisp so you can tell it's fresh! Nem nuong cuong: Great spring roll that has a little crunch in it! I love the sauce it came with for dipping! A nice nutty taste, but my fiance wished they added some chopped peanuts in it! (Can't blame him, he's had my sauce with peanuts in it so he thinks it's the norm!) But it would add another level to it! Fried Tofu: wow, not sure how they did it but they managed to fry the soft tofu and it's so good! It comes with a spicy soy sauce dipping sauce and with it being freshly cooked right before it came out it was nice and hot! But it does break apart after the first few bites so be aware so it doesn't fall all over you! I would so come back if we're ever in the area! It's kinda hidden but once you see it you'll never forget!

So I had to call my mom to let her know what the delay was about. It took another 30 minutes for me to return with food. The soup was spilled everywhere in the bag. The order was incorrect, too. The fried chicken was ok. Mostly bones and batters. Very sweet seasoning. The dumplings were ok. Was it worth the $100 something hassle? Absolutely not. The service in general here could make some improvements. Perhaps better communications or checking for online orders frequently. Maybe have more sense of urgency. Something. I'm sure the food can be and is delicious otherwise. But for the amount of money they charger for the quantity of food one would be receiving, the service must be better as well.
