There were definitely some challenges along the way, especially with permits in our city. Apparently it is much tougher than others when it comes to permits, and it ended up requiring a lot more paperwork and extra effort than he expected. Even with all that, Cyrus stuck to his original quote and never tried to charge us more, which we really appreciated. Jaime and Jesus handled the installation of the air handler, ductwork, and heat pump. They worked hard, were very respectful of our home, kept things clean, and honestly were much quieter doing the work than I expected considering all the cutting and installation involved. They also worked hard to finish ahead of the timeline they originally gave us. Inspection passed with no issues, and now we've been using the AC for months with zero problems. All of the basic fixes failed, and they all said we needed a full replacement. We gave Southwest a call for one last opinion based on a friend's recommendation, and Erick saved us. He spent 2+ hours in our sweltering attic troubleshooting every possible issue, until he found a quirk in our condensate drainage that no one else figured out. Once he accounted for that, it was quick work to purge our line and clear a clog that was responsible for the overflow in our attic. He knew we were resigned to replace the AC and easily could have told us the same. But he worked extra hard on our behalf, provided an affordable fix, and stayed longer to clean up the shoddy work from the past vendors. Admittedly it took a little longer to get Southwest out to our home, but I now know it's because they're going to take their time and really solve your problem. Their technicians fled our house before we could talk with them about it. Story - Our AC unit started not working and they were quick to arrive and investigate the situation. However, the first technician they sent out thought it was a problem with just cleaning the dust on our blower. Turned out it still didn't work properly after running it later that night - in fact our house got hotter. The same technician came back out the next day after we called NexGen and we found out he had forgotten to plug a wire back in for the condenser on our AC unit - this is a lack of professionalism and care in the work performed. Our AC unit then would only work for about 2-3 hours. We called NexGen to come back out and look at the issue again with a different technician who told us instead we needed a brand new furnace. The next day our furnace was installed, but during the installation, the technicians damaged our ceiling and tore paint off from the ceiling. They tried to glue parts of our ceiling back and it was done so poorly. They even left glue on our walls still. When my wife and I saw the damage done to our ceiling they had already left. I have been trying to get a hold of NexGen since they left and nobody has returned my call for the last 4 days since our installation. The lack of quality of service and attention to detail is embarrassing. The technicians they sent out were also talking loudly about how new they were to the Company - makes sense as to how much of a shoddy job they did.

Once again, another promise with no follow-through. If your goal is to resolve this matter, then call me so we can discuss a solution that is fair to both of us instead of continuing to make excuses. Regarding the HVAC work, the installation of the two motors--one for the swamp cooler and one for the kitchen hood--was well over $5,600. If you believe otherwise, feel free to post the invoices. I will gladly update this review with the exact figures. As for not charging me for all of your technician's time, that's because he spent more than 10 hours on a job that he ultimately could not fix. That wasn't because you were being generous; it was because the work took far longer than planned due to the problem remaining unresolved. You also claim you responded promptly. Even now, I am still waiting for a manager to call me back with a real solution rather than more explanations for why commitments have not been honored.
