The main issue was that my secondary insurance had been billed as the primary insurance. Delta confirmed they had no record of my primary insurance on file, only a note stating that I had another insurance plan. I worked with a Delta representative, and they explained that everything would need to be resubmitted either by the dental office or through a claim filed by me. When I brought this to the office staff's attention, I was not looking for an argument. I was simply trying to point out the issue so they could review it and correct the billing. Unfortunately, the staff became defensive and rude. That experience is what ultimately caused me to lose trust in the office after being a patient there for five years. To be clear, this review is not about the doctor's performance. My concern is strictly with the billing process and the way the office staff handled the situation. If you've been victim to not being heard before, then Dr. Tran and her staff at All Smiles By Design is a place that I highly recommend. From reception to dental hygienists to consultation, I feel that the team takes pride in what they do and has empathy for their patients. Amazing hospitality, staffing that genuinely cares and they do the job right with no rushing. If you get anxious or are uncomfortable about anything, just talk to them. There's no pressure and do everything they can to make you feel comfortable because let's be honest, no one likes the sound of the drill or seeing the big needle used for numbing...lol. The reception area is nice and is not your usual, boring open seating area. Instead there's living room furniture to make it feel more cozy, an accent wall for the gram and there's coffee, bottled water and snacks (I recommend waiting until after your cleaning or procedure for obvious reasons). Dr. Tran is an artist in her field and is the real deal. She was able to help find a resolution to a long term problem that I faced and affected my self confidence for many years. I no longer have to choose my "good side" and look forward being in photos with family and friends. Also, Dr. Tran gives back to the community by going on missions and volunteers her time (check out their about me page). He didn't talk to me . He was not friendly , and didn't explain anything to me . He didn't give me any options at all about what I needed. I had to ask about fillings for my front teeth. Absolutely no communication with me when he walked in the room to get started. He didn't go over the plan or inform me what type of filling they were using on me. He didn't give me options or tell me any info about his plans for my mouth. He didn't check in with me at all during the procedure , or explain as he was going . He didn't ask how I was doing or if I was feeling ok at any time ! At one point I had to STOP him to ask what he was doing or how it was going because I wasn't doing ok. I was feeling anxious and not secure. Then I had to YELL stop because I could FEEL the drilling he was doing. I was very upset when I left , and the fillings were super gritty, and they left a terrible acetone smell and taste in my mouth. It was a terrible experience I left very upset. My mouth stayed numb for 3-4 hours after that as well. And my top gums were sore for days !! Never again would I see Dr.Chen. I never once even met Dr. Ignatowicz. Dr. Chen you need to talk to your patients and ask them questions .You should explain things and give them treatment options. You need to see if they are OK and let them know your plans and procedures as you begin ! And you definitely need to check in on them when you are sitting them through 4 FILLING IN ONE SITTING!! The dental hygienist and dentist I saw at Radiant Smiles were incredibly rude and dismissive during my visit. I was told I needed a deep cleaning that would cost around $500 just to clean half of my mouth. They also told me I had two small cavities that needed fillings and warned me that my teeth could eventually fall out if I didn't address the issues. Because of how serious they made it sound, I went ahead and had the fillings done. After my visit at Radiant Smiles, something didn't sit right with me, so when I traveled home I scheduled an appointment with my regular dentist for a second opinion. My regular dentist performed a full exam including X-rays, a full cleaning, fluoride treatment, and prescribed toothpaste. After reviewing everything, they told me that I did not need a deep cleaning and that the cavities I had been told I had were not actually present and the fillings were unnecessary. Another concerning issue was that Radiant Smiles didn't even attempt to run my insurance and instead presented everything as out-of-pocket costs. I also explained on my intake paperwork and verbally that I have an autoimmune disease and that my gums were swollen because of that. Despite this, they dismissed what I told them and insisted I needed antibiotics for my gums. My regular dentist confirmed that antibiotics were not necessary. Overall, the experience felt very fear-based and untrustworthy. I left feeling pressured into procedures that were not necessary and uncomfortable with how my concerns were handled. After comparing the care I received with my long-time dentist, the difference was night and day. If you value honest dental care and transparency, I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to treatment at Radiant Smiles.

Then, the insurance girl came in to talk about what my insurance covers. I told her all I wanted today was the cleaning. For some reason that price was now $75 instead of the $25 they told me it would be when I first arrived. I paid the $75. Finally, the hygienist came in to clean my teeth. She was very friendly and she did a great job cleaning my teeth. On my way out, I noticed they had a sign in the window that said a cleaning, exam, and x-rays was $59 for new patients. I'm not sure why I was charged $75, even with my insurance, if they're only charging other new clients $59. Overall, the medical professionals at this office were professional and competent. The wait time and total visit time took too long. And I feel like I overpaid considering they charged me more with insurance, than they do people without.

I never dreamed I would ever use those words to describe Oral Surgery -- I am beyond impressed. I arrived at the clinically-clean Henderson facility and was immediately welcomed by the sound of soft cruise/ lounge music and a tropical beach scene displayed on the big screen tv. The office is painted an 'island white' with few distractions, leaving one to focus on the soothing music and beach scene. It's SO tranquil and soothing I almost asked the other patron to dance, and we joked about ordering tropical drinks But no time for play, as I was promptly taken back for my appointment. Protocols are obviously in-place here, and followed to a "T." EVERYONE was on the same page and nobody missed a beat. From scheduling and intake, to pain-free and efficient oral surgery (due to surgeons' years of specialized experience), to post-op instructions and follow-up, I had nothing but confidence in this staff from start to finish. And I'm a dental scaredy cat. Dr. Gibson is so highly skilled that I felt absolutely NO PAIN or DISCOMFORT during the 15 minute extraction of a very well-rooted molar. I was awake and alert the entire time utilizing Nitrous ... laughing gas. No elevated heart rate, no sweaty palms, no fear; just confidence in my surgeon's ability based on tons of amazing detailed reviews. I'm 3 days post-op and STILL zero pain, zero swelling, zero bruising, no infection, no discomfort and NO pain meds (I declined) ... just XS Tylenol and Ibuprofen. I have several oral surgery experiences under my belt, and this was the only experience that has been 100% positive. That would be why they have a 5-star rating with nearly 1000 reviews. While this group was not in my Dental Plan, they came so highly recommended by so many neighbors on the NextDoor App that I booked with them anyway (the term "pain-free" was used in many reviews). Gibson & Leavitt had many options from which to choose at a variety of price points, and they accept many insurances. Since their group was not in my Dental Plan I chose Nitrous (laughing gas) instead of my usual anesthesia. SO glad I did!!!
