Healthy AND cheap?? Nah that's really not possible,,, until Greenade came along. Averaging around ~$6-$7 a meal, Greenade does a good job in balancing out portion size, healthiness, price, and taste. Most of their meals are pretty simple, with some kind of protein, a base of couscous or spaghetti noodles, and veggies with sweet potato and carrots. Their chicken is always very consistently juicy and flavorful, which is something i definitely did not expect. The owners are very sweet and my meals always comes out in a decent amount of time, which makes it a quick meal to grab on the way home or on the way to campus to study. Out of the 3 kinds of meals I've tried, my tried and true is the chick chat bowl for $6.50. 100% recommend getting with the oriental sauce. I can usually portion this to one and a half meals, so value is very worth. They also usually do some kind of a deal for dinner too! Simple? Yes. Fair pricing? Yes. Healthy? Better than the other options nearby (i love you pinch but....) Worth trying out? For sure :)

Ever since it opened, Greenade has become my go-to place if I want to grab a quick meal on campus or between classes (sorry pinch and oma's). It's delicious, cheap, and healthy. I have tried three bowls: Chick Chat, Garden Mermaid, and Shiitake Chicken (a daily special). For all bowls, they come with a protein, veggies, and a base of spaghetti or couscous. My favorite is the Chick Chat, because of how simple it is. The chicken always tastes fresh and juicy. It comes with sweet potato and lettuce, and a base of spaghetti or couscous (I like spaghetti more). Garden Mermaid is also a pretty good bowl. The salmon tastes fresh but not my favorite since I typically make my salmon more crunchy on the outside. Shiitake Chicken is a new dish, and I would say it's my least favorite so far. The flavor is a bit too strong, which I can't taste the freshness of the meat and vegetables. Although it's not on their main menu (at least for now), they also have chicken masala and other bowls that are more Asian. For the sauce, I ask the cashier to give me a suggestion, and it's always spot on amazing! I highly recommend getting the oriental sauce if you want to play safe. Give it a try if you haven't yet, you won't regret it!

I love this place! The Garden Mermaid salmon bowl is filling and delicious. You get a choice of couscous or noodles and I usually get couscous. There's also a choice of sauce but I just get what they recommend. Most of the bowls here are healthy! This is a great option to get energy from clean food.

Super yummy and healthy Food Truck. The lady was super nice and helpful. I tried the chicken bowl and a berry smoothie! Will come back soon!

On a campus full of overpriced food trucks, this one (and Pinch) stands out. It's both low-calorie and filling (which can be good or bad, depending on who you are), but more importantly, the flavors are great, and the ingredients are high-quality. It's a great option and a great addition to the campus food scene.

    New menu!

I got the pork bowl and it was so good, fast and super friendly service, and great food

The guiltless marshmallow with spaghetti! So good!

There is a parking lot that was pretty full but not completely. Once inside, we took seats at the back bar where a buddy suggested we sit for faster service. We had menus and water within minutes, and our bartender was attentive the whole time. We ordered a mix of dishes that had been recommended and a couple more: Oak grilled Snap peas, Coconut scented Rice, Chicken Karaage, Tomato and Cucumber salad, Smoked Prime Bavette Plate, Smoked Beef brisket plate, and Chocolate mousse. For drinks we got Thai Berry smash and Mandarin Margarita. Overall, there was good flavor in all the dishes, with well-paired flavor combos, which is the standard Hai Hospitality sets. However, some dishes didn't have as bold flavor as I was hoping. The Chicken karaage could have been bolder. Surprisingly, the Tomato and Cucumber salad had more flavor than expected. The Prime Bavette and Smoked Brisket were great, though a bit pricy. Both of the drinks were excellent, but only got one each as we're not big on spending on alcohol with dinner. Normally I'd go to this type of place with high-end satiation expectations, such as at Uchiko, where actually filling up would cost a lot so I don't fill up and plan to eat a couple hours later. However, we were both full after eating the above, and even had a piece of brisket and some rice to take home. For the quality, the value is there. The service was great, the bartender checked on us multiple times, and gave us updates on what dishes were left to come out once we were about two-thirds through our order. Each time a dish came we got a refresher on what it was from the server, which I like. The place was about 1/3 full at 5 PM and 2/3 full when we left at 5:45 PM, with the volume-level rising. The speed and quality of the meal taken together is excellent-- we were in and out quickly and enjoyed our fine dining. The restaurant was a bit dark; I could read the menu fine, but one older gentleman had to use his phone to see the menu text. At the end of the meal, a small gift card helped lower the price so it was under 100 out the door. We ended up being very happy with the food and experience-- it was great, but it wasn't amazing solely because a couple dishes needed their good flavor to be bolder. No single item wasn't good, and a couple were exceptional, so I'd easily recommend this restaurant and would like to go back.

It's great to bring a groupbof people or out of towners to experience the food this place has to offer. I tried the burger and honestly it was one of the most tasty burgers I have in the Austin area. I wasn't too bloated afterwards. My friends ordered some noodles with some side meats to go along with their noodles. Their beverages are very tasty and yes they offer sodas and beers. They even offer some great non-alcoholic beverages. I highly recommend trying this place out. I will say parking is a pain no matter the time of day.

The Chinese Sticky Rice is always a favorite. Also ordered the Truffle Egg Fried rice and Birds Nest with Seasonal Vegetable. The Truffle rice is so flavorful like a flavor explosion in your mouth. The Birds Nest is made with fried potato shreds which contain the a variety of vegetables including cauliflower, peppers, mushrooms and asparagus. The nest is also edible and has a crunchy texture. The presentation of the food is amazing and everything came out hot and fresh. The flavors were on point, and you can tell there's attention to detail in the preparation. The place reminded me of Ling Wu in the Grove area because the decor looked similar. Maybe they are owned by the same people? Firstly, I was impressed with the fact they had a FREE parking garage nearby since this is in the downtown area and next to Whole Foods. It took me a bit to find it as I'm directionally challenged, but I did and was just running a bit late. We really enjoyed the food and cocktails. I got the Singaporean noodles, a mezcal drink, and a sake. The serving size was big so I had plenty to take home. We shared many of the other dumplings and dim sum items. Everything was very good! The place wasn't too crowded so after we paid our bill we sat around for a while longer to chat and catch up. Usually someone would come by to see if we needed or wanted anything further, but no one did so we kept chatting and left. I'm happy to know of a central location with easy parking as a future place to meet people. I wish they had a happy hour because the bill for 3 of us was unexpectedly higher than usual.

Throughout our meal, no one checked on us even once, and we had to flag our waiter down multiple times whenever we needed something.
