I made an appointment that worked well for me. Yelp never fails me. When I needed a locksmith, GreenKeys showed up the best-rated in my area, and it was indeed a pleasant experience. I was stressed when I had problem replacing an old lock due to a worn-out screw, then I decided to ask for help from a locksmith. I called GreenKeys at 8pm and a friendly lady answered my call promptly. She let me know that Ben would arrive in about an hour, and so he did. Ben took out the bad screw very quickly and helped us put on the new lock. He explained to us the security features on the new locks I bought and provided great tips on how to use them properly. Ben came to fix our closet door earlier this month. He is FANTASTIC. Not only is he thorough, but he is also honest and does very nice work. We had an original 1940's door knob that was locked and broken. He was able to remove it leaving a perfect hole for us to install a new one. Well, to be honest, I doubted those 5-star reviews when I was searching on Yelp to look for a good locksmith because it looks too good to be true. But, after talking to Ben, seeing how he worked, I have to say he deserves all these reviews. I had an appointment with Ben to re-key for my new house last Saturday. And last Friday, we found that we could find our sedan's key anywhere. Ben was here, on time, in his self designed Tee (looks cool btw). Then I asked about making the car's key. This guy is awesome. Here are my reasons for this compliment for Ben Pearson. 1) He was available on short notice. 2) He was accurate on his quote for what time he would arrive even in light of other jobs he had to do and traffic to get here. 3) Based upon his review of my mailbox area he could tell what was wrong, what was good, what needed work, he knew his stuff. 4) He was polite and professional. 5) His cost to do business was both very fair and accurate, (other locksmiths lure you in with one quote and end up with a different cost, Ben is not like that. Ben is accurate and fair. 6) Did I mention that he attended to our needs from 10 pm until later that same evening?, He did. 7) He makes paying easy with all this smart technology. 8) And the last but not least reason Ben gets my 5 star rating is even though he did the job he took the extra precaution to make sure it worked perfect which is to say in my case the lock rubbed on the lock down surface, which another locksmith might have been like "good enough" and I would not have noticed but Ben knew it would be better in the long run to smooth out the contact point and took the extra time to make sure the clasp thing locked into place without any excess rubbing which I suspect over time would wear out some surface somewhere. That extra effort to make sure I was taken care of, even though I might not have known to ask, was that added extra service that makes Ben a good professional locksmith and in turn a 5 Star rating from me. The Sunday before I leave, I called hoping to schedule something during the workweek but he says that he can come out later that day... great! My in-door cat ran outside when I poked out to grab a package. As I rushed after her in a panic, I heard the door click and immediately felt dread. I had locked myself out, while very partially dressed. My poor cat nowhere to be seen, I frantically called Ben. I wanted the locks changed when I moved into my new place, now not only is my place safer, but the locks actually work so much better! I sent him some photos of the locks and he knew exactly what type of locks they were and was very familiar with their operation. I made an appointment with him for today and out he came. Finally a locksmith that is worthy for the 5 star yelp rating. I have a safe with stuck lock, and Ben asked for pictures and made great suggestion to see if the lock can be opened. I met Ben a few months ago when he changed the keys on my friend's house, and so when I needed my keys changed he was the first person I called. I needed to get my keys changed quickly, and he was able to come out within 24 hours (mind you, this is over the weekend = amazing). Although the total for the keys was a little more money than I wanted to spend it was completely worth it. A real pleasure to do business with... I would highly recommend GreenKeys! We scheduled an appointment to have 3 locks re-keyed at our house, and we received 2 phone calls from the office with updates on Ben's whereabouts as he battled traffic to get to us. When he arrived, he was extremely friendly and professional. There were a few services Ben provided in addition to re-keying our locks that I would've considered extras, but he just considered them part of the job, such as checking the lengths of the screws in the door frames and swapping out screws where necessary, and making sure all deadbolts were fully engaged and making adjustments. He even taught me a few things about how locks work and gave us some basic home security info.
