I happened to be in the neighborhood for this store this morning so I decided to go exploring. I was greeted warmly when I walked in. The store is not big but it has enough products that will keep you coming back. I love the variety of onigiri, drinks, sandos, candies, and sushi being offered. I was happy to see they carry Miso dressing so I grabbed a bottle of it. I then noticed towards the back of the store they carry some Japanese pottery. A beautiful bowl caught my eye reminding me of "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" painting so I grabbed it too. As I checked out, I noticed that you can order a Sushi Party Set. You can make the reservation online or in store and then select where to pick up your party tray from any of the Nakata Markets around town. Pricing for the party sets begins at $29.99 and goes up to $69.99. Jesus took care of me and he was very helpful and knowledgeable. He pointed out to me that you can also order the Japanese Milk Bread from the market. There were two loaves sitting there that I was tempted to purchase but would rather order it fresh. If you have never tried this bread before, it is so unique and delicious. So happy that I stopped in here and now I want to check out the other locations around town. I will be back!

This store is clean & neatly organized. We came here to try the fruit sandwiches and sushi before watching the Dodger World series game on TV. They have both some Hawaiian foods too. Their dishes & mugs were cute. Too bad I'm traveling and only brought a small carry on otherwise I would have bought some dishes & mugs. I'm excited to try the fruit sandwiches since I didn't eat any while I was in Japan. The owner is from Japan.

I had no idea this GEM was right by my house! Consider me a new & regular customer from now on. The store is small, but jammed packed with so many goodies! From snacks, to ready to eat foots & plenty of items for the home (rice bowls, ramen bowls, sake cups etc...). I came in just looking for one thing, wonton wrappers. I get tired of driving all the way to other Asian markets that are farther and with so much traffic! I found these there and came home to make wontons. They are DELICIOUS. I've tried some many brands & driven miles just to get them, so this was hands down PERFECT! I definitely can't wait to come back and take a better look at other items there

Come here for the drinks and candy options if you like trying different kinds. Sushi is actually way better than I was expecting too. I was expecting similar to a supermarket sushi spot which is fine and is there for a craving without much expectation but this place has nigiri that far exceeds that. Definitely will be back for the sushi mix when in the area!

2/29/2024- In the area, and had to make a stop! I love being able to find the fruit strawberry sandwiches... Lucked out with a variety of sushi options... Picked up a bag of rice crackers for home.. Another reason I would move here.. lol... Staff always friendly and helpful..

A lil Japanese market in Summerlin. We don't have any Japanese markets in FL so when I was in town visiting, I had to stop by and check this place out. Mini but mighty with some great products, I spent a pretty penny in here getting snacks while I had some downtime in between a wedding's ceremony and reception. The space is clean and service was friendly. I got some salmon sushi (which tasted so fresh), onigiri, katsu sando, soft serve pre-packaged ice cream, and other snackies to take back home. They had a great variety of things and all reasonably priced.

Yay for a Nakata location in Summerlin! My family usually goes to the Rainbow location, but we've recently visited the Nakata Market of Japan in Summerlin. It's slightly smaller than the one on Rainbow, however, they do carry different items! Since 2002, Nakata Market has been providing Las Vegas with merchandise from Japan. Some of their products include the following Fresh Sashimi General Japanese Foods Fresh Sushi, Onigiri Medicines Current hours: Monday - Sunday: 10:00AM - 7:00PM My husband and I wanted to make some Mitarashi Dango. We stopped by Nakata Market to buy some Mochiko rice flour and their imported Dango from Japan. Nakata's Dango was delicious! The texture of the Dango was chewy, tender, and soft. The topping was a sweet soy sauce, super scrumptious! The store is well stocked and organized. The team at Nakata Market of Japan are super helpful and the service is outstanding!

What a gem in Summerlin! The store is cozy, clean, and bright. Love the selection of onigiri, sandos, drinks, desserts, and snacks! I have been craving a spicy tuna onigiri and loved the convenience of knowing I can pick up a few in the area. They have a large selection of pickled items, and grocery items (meats, noodles, tofu, miso, etc.) too. Can't wait to go back when I need a snack.

Located off the Summerlin Parkway, this amazing sister store to the original location is a little smaller and a cozier, but just as cute and fun! We popped in after our Stretch appointment to check out their yummy candy offerings, and we're so glad we did! They have a wide variety of snacks and treats for every pallet, from bagged to fresh, and cute little Knick knacks too! The lovely girl at the counter greeted us with a smile and happily helped my husband with his hi-chew obsession. We will be back because everything we tried was fantastic and we definitely want more!

What a fun little market. We came here on a whim and decided to explore. For such a tiny store there's all sorts of goodies from sushi to frozen udon to packaged sweets to kitten bowls. We decided to grab a chicken katsu sando, Mont blanc cake, and strawberry cake from the refrigerated section. With an air fryer to reheat the sando at home it was almost as good as fresh. The cakes were light and not too sweet. We would come back for convenience sake.

It's nice to have a Japanese market that's not on Spring Mountain. The store is rather small filled with Asian snacks, accessories, and fresh items. There was one clerk there that had a shy demeanor. The ambiance felt a bit awkward because it was very quiet. The prices are a tad higher than Asian markets such as 169 or Greenland and they carry about the same items. My favorite thing was the strawberry sandwich but it's not enough to bring me back. I was hoping this would be more of a Japanese 711 vibe but it's more like a pop up Japanese market. I'd love to see them offer more food and enhance their customer service skills to make it more welcoming.

Ask the Community - Nakata Sushi

Is the Summerlin store bigger or the same size as the one on the Rainbow location? ie do they have the same things there as far deli items?

No. This one is much smaller. Think of it as a convenience store.

Does Nakata sell those little boxes of Sea (Uni) Urchin?

    They do not.

Do they sell masago/any type of roe?

I do not believe so, their deli is finished food, not ingredients

The salmon was buttery and literally melted in your mouth, and all the flavors were perfectly balanced. They also had a special where, for just $1 more when you order a boat, you get a beer...my husband happily took advantage of that and enjoyed a refreshing cold one. They have no idea what they're in for. Lol I eat A LOT of sushi. I was given a lunch menu today. It said I could get spicy tuna roll and 6 sushi. I asked if I could get nigiri. My waiter didn't quite do an eye roll, but he did tell me nigiri is sushi. My bad! Lol Ok so I asked if I could get 6 eel nigiri, and he said it was chef's choice. He asked my sushi chef and he said no, but he would do half. I thought that was generous of him and thanked him. I also ordered a side of kimchi. I was given a little tray of wasabi, ginger and marinated cucumbers along with my kimchi. The kimchi was surprisingly light and not spicy at all. It tasted fresh as did my ginger soy cucumber slices. What a perfect start! And then came my meal. It was stunning. Glistening eel with generous portions is what I dug into first. My other sushi chef caramelized the eel sauce on my nigiri last time. This chef did not. I didn't dare say anything as it was clear my chef was the senior, but the other fellow did a really beautiful job last time. It makes such a difference. I'll try to get the younger guy next time. Now having said that, it was still sweet, fresh, vibrant and divine. Next came my tuna, yellowtail and salmon nigiri. They were all succulent and the salmon made me melt a little. It was so tender and just exceptional. I loaded my spicy tuna with pickled ginger and wasabi and the sesame oil shined. It was stunning and I ate the whole thing. Overall this was a beautiful lunch, and it was significantly less than my last sushi delivery order elsewhere. This is my new lunch go-to for sure.

However, after waiting more than 30 minutes and already finishing the rest of our meal, it felt like the order may have simply been forgotten. What disappointed me most was the lack of an apology. The waitress even asked if I still wanted the mussels at that point. I was ready to cancel the order, but Kyo stepped in and tried to make things right. Thanks to his efforts, the mussels arrived about 10 minutes later. Unfortunately, when the mussels finally arrived, I was disappointed again. They were prepared very differently from the baked green mussels I'm used to getting at restaurants in Los Angeles. They were quite spicy, which wasn't mentioned, and the flavor just wasn't what I expected. After waiting more than 40 minutes for them, they definitely weren't worth the wait. Overall, the food was decent, and the restaurant was busy and energetic, but the service mishap and the disappointing mussels left me with mixed feelings about the experience.
