The only concern here is the workers. Not so friendly and no help. One time I asked where I could find this particular item and I got ignored. I can't with the streets being janky and the insane amount of traffic on Spring Mountain. But I do on occasion battle the crazy to take care of business. Before H Mart opened I would go to the Asian Market at Spring Mountain and hate life. IYKYK, right? Spacious yes, but be ready to wait an eternity to check out. After the H Marts grand opening I took a walk on the wild side and entered with my own personal shopping cart. Simply put my review is this: it's way too small for everything they sell. Crowded aisles. Stock on the floor. Serious fire hazard. They need to address this safety hazard and act accordingly with their wares. While almost everything is korean they do carry items from other asian countries. The problem is if you don't have a translation app or read characters you have no idea what anything is. I had a hell of a time finding dark and light soy sauce, sesame oil, oyster & fish sauce. I finally found my 3 Crabs oyster sauce but the soy sauce...I gave up. Going back with pictures next time... Employees on the floor were not willing or able to help find items or answer questions. They DO have an amazing selection of ramyun & ramen. Their housewares are solid & inexpensive. I highly recommend the pink kitchen gloves and disposable korean washcloths!!! They have limited k-beauty items but an insane amount of ginseng products. The parking lot is a madhouse. If you have your own personal shopping cart like I do...use it! It's a shame their app doesn't allow for ordering with store pickup.

Greenland is moderately sized but is overall not kept up very well. It just generally looks kind of dirty and dated inside. It's also extremely cramped with products and boxes in the aisles which makes it hard to get around with your cart. Having said that, they do have a very large selection of Korean products and some Japanese products as well. They have a meat area where you can get some pretty good marinated bulgogi and kalbi to grill at home. They also have a significant selection of fresh Korean side dishes as well. They have a section of small applies as well such as rice cookers. Just before you enter the supermarket area itself there is a small Korean food court. Staff are overall pretty variable from friendly and helpful to rather cold and stoic. Overall, this is a decent place for your Korean groceries. I just wish they would maintain the place better.

Parking can be hectic but they have extra parking in a parking structure in the back. There is a small restaurant inside the supermarket called Big Dan Shanxi Taste which is usually very busy because they serve some uncommon specialty dishes that are not found in other places. Although this supermarket is not very big, it has most of the things I need. I like to come here because it is usually clean and does not have the funky Asian supermarket smell. The aisles are reasonably wide and easy to navigate. Their produce is of pretty good quality. And for the same items, their prices are very competitive. Service is okay, checkout is relatively quick and easy.

Yelp Review 2025 #102:…read more We have quite a few Asian supermarkets in town. There are two SF Supermarket locations in Chinatown. This one is located in a busy strip mall in a 2-storey building. The times I've been here, it always feels old, cramped, messy with a slight funk like a bodega. But they have my favorite Asian snacks, drinks and produce. They even have the bottled jasmine tea I would get from vending machines in China that I can't find at other Asian stores. They have bags of Thai tea a third of the price Amazon would charge you for. Candy, chocolate, chips, cookies, rice crackers, tea in different varieties and forms, condiments, cooking supplies, juices, alcoholic beverages, fresh/ canned/ frozen/ dried fruits and vegetables, fish, seafood, meats, noodles, rice, buns, ice cream, health and beauty products, etc. from all Asian countries. Service is better here than at 99 Ranch Chinatown.

I found Nakata on Yelp. Since it's a short drive, I was off to see the sushi they had. The store is somewhat small but they have a lot of Japanese treats. There is a large section of sushi in the cold case. I picked the large package to bring home and enjoy. The nigiri was tuna, yellowtail, salmon, shrimp, and eel. The sushi roll was 8 pieces of spicy salmon. Along with the package there were small packets of soy sauce, wasabi paste, and pickled ginger. The price was $17.99. I also decided to try one of their fruit sandwiches. I got the apricot and strawberry one. It's made like a sandwich but it's a kind of spongecake. The items were all packaged well. I enjoyed the spicy sushi roll and the nigiri. Just perfect for a dinner before the game. I saved the sandwich for a treat post game to savor the food and the win. A very nice dessert. The items were bagged along with napkins and two pairs of chopsticks. While this may not be the quality of sushi you'd get at a sushi restaurant, it was certainly a step up from what is available in grocery stores.
