I had a terrible experience with this company. The rep came to install two toilets and the interaction and scheduling started great. I sent him some pictures, he asked great questions etc. So when he shows up, we talk a bit and I tell him that we have a baby in the house and would he mind wearing a mask and he flat out refuses. "I'm not wearing a mask, you'll have to find someone else" and then he abruptly leaves. Imagine that. A customer is concerned about their baby and this company's rep flat out refuses to wear a mask in my son's closet-sized bathroom. I respect all opinions but I think when a child is involved perhaps you reconsider. I called another company and (this time) asked before hand if they wouldn't mind wearing a mask as we have a baby inside. Their answer? "Absolutely, we want to keep the lil guy safe." The plumber that came out was a very nice person and helpful. I had a leaky cartridge and wanted it replaced and the conversation went directly to opening the wall and replacing the entire valve. $1500 + parts. Almost seemed like replacing the cartridge wasn't even an option or he just didn't care to do it. After tons of research in finding out where I could find the proper cartridge and how I could replace it on my own, I did it myself. If I can do it, why couldn't a plumber change out the cartridge for me? I would have happily paid for that service. read more

We had a shower issue where a new change cartridge was needed. The plumber came out and told me how to quickly order the part saving money and to call him when it came. We did that. Upon return he started into the job and found a problem with a major connection into the wall where it had been installed wrong a few years ago. I order the next part and Greenwall came back a third time to put it all together. They would not let me pay for the first two visits, so I paid only when the entire job was done. Using this company was one of the WORST decisions I have ever made being a homeowner. One of the employees started a fire in my garage as they were soldering. The water was off and to put the fire out they had to quickly turn the water back on which ended up bursting my fire sprinkler pipe. Gallons and gallons of water came out through my ceiling and in my interior walls. They refused to take any responsibility and they ended up leaving my home with over $3,000 in water damage repair that I personally had to pay. They even charged me for the day. We have used greenwall 2 times now (unfortunately within the same 3 weeks). First time was a Saturday and we noticed our water heater was leaking. Within 4ish hours from the time I called and let them know what was going on they had a new one installed in our house...ON A SATURDAY. Professional, clean, nice, efficient! Well, last night the carpet in my babies room was flooded. I had no idea where it was coming from but it was SOPPING. I took photos of what I could, a video from the sound of water leaking outside and called them...9pm at night. They talked my husband and I through everything (basically knowing what was going on without even seeing it in person). We turned the water off for the night and they were over by 9am this morning. In and out in a matter of an hour. They are amazing. So sweet. So efficient. So professional. I would use them 100 times over - but hope I don't have to for the foreseeable future haha! read more

They caused a fire while sweating a pipe joint without safety procedures (negligence ) Sprinkler system went off inside the house causing thousands of dollars in damage. (computer, laptop, printer, drywall, paint.....) They refused to pay for the repairs or any damages saying that it was our fault when they caused the problem by forcing the water on to put out the fire. The owner shouted at my daughter and made her cry when he told her to pound sand when it came to paying for repairs. The owners son, Max, told us the day before that everything would be taken care of. The home has severe damage which they refuse to repair. We filed a complaint just now with the State Contractors License board. IF you want your wife or daughter shouted at and disrespected and have plumbers who will destroy your home and try go get away with it, these are your folks. read more

Would not recommend this company. We had a plumbing issue in our house where the downstairs hallway will get flooded if we use the upstairs shower. This issue didn't happen every single time so it was kind of a mystery. We called out Greenwall Plumbing and they did a thorough diagnostic and charged my grandmother $500 to tell her that nothing was wrong. It happens again. They come back out and say nothing is wrong. I called the homeowners insurance to file a claim and after they are in touch with Greenwall Plumbing, the plumber basically tells the insurance adjuster we were lying and that the dogs probably peed in the area .. I'm pretty sure gallons of water flooding up from the carpet is more than dog pee. Overall would not recommend this company.. they treated us like we were crazy. read more

Our kitchen sink backed up and there was water coming out the wall outside the house. I first called my home warranty company and scheduled something through them, but I didn't have faith in their choice as I couldn't even find the "company" online, they didn't answer their phone, no message machine, nothing -- even the Home Warranty company couldn't get ahold of them. Concerned I called Greenwall late in the day, the call went through to Tom who asked question about the issue, took my information, preferred time of 1pm the next day, and said they would be out the next day. The next morning the scheduled appointment from the home warranty company didn't work out, they called at 6:32am and because I didn't call them back immediately cancelled even though I told them for sure I would be home. Max from Greenwall called at 8am to confirm the appointment, I explained the issue and he stated he could move our appointment and be there within an hour. Max showed up on time, unplugged the drain (15' in), put a camera into the drain, showed where the issue was, but couldn't find the leak. They then systematically went through until he found the issue a large coming from a drain pipe in the wall. He walked me through the options, and I decided to move ahead with a leak remediation company to insure that the damages were addressed. Greenwall was on time, professional, super nice, their rate was great, they recommended some options, even recommended a remediation/restoration company. Once remediation of the water damage is done, I will use Greenwall to address any further plumping issues. My experience is different than some of the reviews below, I dont know what Greenwall Plumbing they were working with, but this guy was great start to finish, and how often can you say the price was great! I've used Greenwall Plumbing several times and they've always been very responsive and were able to fit me into their schedule very efficiently. Their prices were always very fair and reasonable. On July 18,2018 we had an issue with a toilet in one of our bathrooms. They brought over a brand-new toilet and installed it for $306.90. very fair and reasonable. On December 28, 2021, I called them to have them diagnose a very small water leak at the base of the toilet. Also, to replace a couple of parts that were defective in our Moen water valve to turn the shower on and off. I advised them that it was probably the wax gasket under the toilet, that I'd already obtained the parts from Moen. There was no rush as there were other bathrooms and showers to use in the house. Christian (The employee from Greenwall) came to the house. He removed the toilet from the floor and determined the toilet that had been installed about 11 years ago and was slightly misaligned and leaked occasionally. He reseated the toilet, relating it was now properly sitting flat on the floor and we shouldn't have any more issues with that fixture. He inspected the defective valve in the shower. It was his opinion that the issue was with something within the wall. This would require him to knock out a section of stucco on the outside of the house or knock a hole through the custom tile on the inside of the shower. So, 2 1/2 years earlier their price was 305.90 for a new toilet replacement, and today just to remove and reset the toilet, and examine the defective Moen part, their new price was $325.00. This is more of a review for the companies business practice than their work. Called them out and the owners son came, did a good job and was out quick. Ouch, 289 bucks ok at least there done and the tech tells me that they have a warranty and if this same drain backs up within 30 days they will come take care of it. Two days later the same drain backs up and in the same way (same toilet overflowed). A different guy comes out, this time the owner and when I mentioned the warranty he was incredulous, was going to pack up his stuff and leave if I did not pay the 289 dollars AGAIN! I had to get the sewage to stop flowing so I was forced to pay. But trust me, I will tell everyone I know to never use these guys. I wanted to help a local plumber over one of the national chains or the people that paid for top results, please do the same but don't use these guys. read more

When we called Greenwall plumbing they scheduled an appointment for us right away, the next day! Gave us estimates. One estimate, if we wanted to do some footwork, to save some money. The other estimate was if we wanted Greenwall to handle all of it. I thought the two options were a great way to present an estimate. GET OTHER BIDS BEFORE hiring Greenwall Plumbing!!!! Greenwall Plumbing started back in the 1950's in San Clemente when the town was almost a village. The founder and the company had a wonderful reputation for years and it was automatic to call them when you needed plumbing help. Presently, the company is operated by the 2nd generation, Sara Chavez is the listed owner and her husband, Tom Chavez is the CEO/President. We made a mistake this past week, by simply calling them and scheduling a new hot water tank to be installed in Capo Beach without getting other bids. That was our mistake and we must live by that mistake. But for those who read this review, please go on Yelp and select the highest rated 3-5 plumbing companies (many are well established plumbing contractors with years of experience and have earned very high ratings on Yelp). The installation was installed by workman "Zach" and he is a nice guy, but he did not strap the tank as required by law and people on site have made claims he did not do other "normal" procedures. Outside of the straps we are not sure if the other observations from the people onsite is accurate, but we do plan to have another plumber come out and re-check the work in the coming weeks (We paid the invoice in full, but there is a 60-day warranty). After Zach left the property never advised us the job was not completed. The invoice was received and it stated "Job Completed." My wife then called and spoke to company owner, Sara and asked her if "Straps were required on hot water tanks to make them earthquake safe." The owner (Sara) responded, she did not know if this was a requirement. It seems very strange that the business owner of a plumbing company would not know if hot water tanks required to be strapped. She had Zach call my wife back and he said he knew the tank needed straps, but he did not have the correct materials when he first came out. Zach completely contradicted what the business owner told my wife (she did not know if straps were needed). Keep in mind, that Zach did the work in less than two hours on the first visit and it was his mistake he could not strap the tank at the scheduled appointment. Someone questioned my wife about paying $2,150 for installing a 40gal tank. As a result, I went on yelp and selected the five highest rated plumbing companies on Yelp and gave them the exact specs for this install. I gave them the model #, size and everything else. Within eight hours we had five bids with the highest being $1299.00. Initially when the tank was not strapped and my wife called Sara and Zach she told them her brother who lived at the site wason a fixed income. As a result, they dropped the price by $100 to $2,050. After receiving the five bids (all from highly rated firms) my wife sent an email to the owner, Sara Chavez and asked her to contact her. Instead of the owner calling back, she had workman Zach call. This is a very bad business practice. It makes you conclude that Greenwall is too big in their minds to call and talk to an upset customer. My wife told Zach that the tank he installed is offered for sale from numerous vendors for $500-700 and the rest is labor. She told him that the other quality contractors would have charged $1050 to $1299. Zach said the job was complex, but remember he was only at the property for two hours. The difference of $750 ($1299 vs. $2050) could not be attributed to labor as he was only there for two hours. He said their truck has costs and while we see other contractors charging a truck fee of $85, even if you throw that in we over paid by at least $700. As a result, my wife decided to offer to Greenwall to split the difference of the $750 and asked for a $375 discount. She also asked to speak to the owner, but again the owner (Sara Chavez) refused to talk with her and through Zach decided to decline the offer. My wife paid the invoice in full. Our conclusion is that anyone who thinks this is the same company that existed for decades has got to understand it is not. The issues with quality mistakes were not acceptable (and honestly, the people on site still think there are other issues that were not done properly, but we have no way to verify this until we get another plumber out there to inspect). The biggest issue is that Greenwall charged an extra $700+ for labor on a two-hour job as compared to what the top-rated plumbers on yelp charge. We strongly suggest that everyone thinking of hiring Greenwall should GET OTHER BIDS BEFORE HIRING GREENWALL. That was a costly mistake we made. We simply knew the company for decades and trusted them that their pricing was competitive and we were very wrong with that assessment. read more
