The tech they sent spent an hour looking around, trying to find the problem. He said he couldn't solve it but we still got charged $411. He said he would have to send someone else. Any estimate for the job? No - he couldn't even make an estimate. When I called Adam, he said they would send a more experienced tech. Why not send someone qualified the first time? What about the charge for showing up and not doing anything? "That's our normal fee?" So, will we be charged for a new estimate? "It's still $250 to show up." Really? I told him we didn't want them anymore and we would like at least a partial refund. He agreed to a refund of $125, but the refund didn't come. I called again and he said they had a miscommunication. Now it would be sent. Still no refund ... We found a new person, a handyman - he said it was challenging, but he found the broken connection and he only charged us $250. Mirsky? Never again ...

They were professional and had me DocuSign an initial consultation process agreement which amounted to an hour of consultation or $200/hour. I had other places offer less pricey hourly rates: but they didn't seem to have the same feel or professionalism so I opted for Greenvolt. Also their scheduling was almost immediate. Which I really appreciated. Brian, the Electrician was extremely knowledgeable, personable, and was respectful. He explained the issues being much more related to the antiquated nature of my circuitry rather than some deep problem that needed some cutting into the dry wall or replacing something. He fixed the faulty wires and showed us what the issues were and how to adjust it again if it kept happening. All and all it cost us $200 plus tax, and nothing more. The only minor problem I have looking back at the experience is that the light has started to flicker again and I will have to get back in there and do what he said to fix it. Makes me wonder of if I would have been happier for a more detailed fix. But for the price and the fact that Brian the electrician was so cool and entire experience was so good... I will definitely call them again if I decide to go that route.

As the price was too good, I called the company to confirm the quote was accurate. I explained the issue to the receptionist again over the phone, and she told me it's gonna be quoted price for sure. On the day of the appointment, the electrician told me the $79 was just the trip fee, and the actual cost to fix the problem was going to be another $169. I told him my communication with the receptionist over the phone, but he simply said a receptionist can't quote for him and when I rejected the price, he left. I then called the company to talk with the receptionist about the incidence, she flat out denied ever telling me the price was $79. UPDATE: after putting up this review, I called the company again, telling them I have the screenshots of their " flat rate" quote. The company asked me to send them a photo of the screenshot and they will investigate and get back to me.I did. I didn't hear back until today, seeing bel-Red's unapologetic response below. I am downgrading my review from 2 stars to 1 star ONE MORE UPDATE: I noticed Bel-Red says there's a "previous communication "CANned" I am not sure what that means, but this is the whole communication I got. Jumped on it, and Carrigan showed up on time, quickly diagnosed the issue and replaced the bad circuit breakers.
