What a perfect little spot - and no problems or hiccups whatsoever (this is Taos, so that's kind of a big deal). I was a little leery of this boutique transformation of the old Indian Hills Motel property, but we were just blown away by how nice Hotel Willa is; kudos to Casetta Hotels! Every employee was friendly in a genuine way; the grounds and rooms are _spotless_ and the vibe is just wonderful. It's easy to forget you're in town . . . but it's a quick walk to the Plaza and great restaurants once you step out front. Free parking. Quiet and totally efficient heating and cooling (we used both in April). Fantastic sleep (it's QUIET) on a remarkably comfortable bed. TV has a variety of music, Netflix, Prime in addition to a variety of programming. The onsite restaurant Juliette is more than just a bar - yes, everyone raves about the green chile cheeseburger, but do yourself a favor and go deeper into the (reasonably priced!) menu. Free coffee in the morning. Tons of places to sit and relax. Hammocks. Sling chairs. Benches. Rocks. Gorgeous and well maintained landscaping. Great pool (heated) and hot tub/jacuzzi, plus exercise room and sauna/cold plunge. (The one suggestion for improvement is that the rain shower spatters outside the shower room a bit.) We'll be back - we've stayed in several Taos properties and enjoyed them to various degrees, but we've never found a place that "clicked" for us as well as Willa.

The kind where you debate skipping your plans just to stay in a little longer. And the Aesop bath products... major win. It's those elevated touches that really make a stay feel luxe without being over the top. Honestly, such a nice surprise. One of the standout features was the text-for-service option--so convenient and easy. It made everything feel seamless and modern, which we loved. A couple tiny notes (and I mean tiny): there's no in-room coffee, but you can grab it for free at the front desk. And adding an Aesop room spray would be the cherry on top of an already amazing experience. Overall, this place absolutely nailed it. Stylish, comfortable, and thoughtfully curated--would 100% stay here again and recommend it to anyone heading to Taos.

When I turned on the lights I saw that the bed was covered by winged bugs, possibly flying ants or termites. I spent the next four hours collecting them and put them in a Ziplock bag to give to Antonia at the front desk. I have been up since 2:00am, and found it odd that she does not know how to contact the General Manager, Kim Craig. The property is very nice otherwise, but it is not acceptable to be expected to pay $262.59 for a bug-infested room. Fortunately, the management agreed and refunded the entire amount.

The grounds are pretty, but so many things were in disrepair...we even met a couple that were greeted by a flying bat in their room when they opened the door. Changed rooms. Again, the property itself is lovely with full grown trees and decent lawn areas. The burger and fries at the grill were excellent, and the live music was too. Breakfast was just ok, and you can't get a Bloody Mary. (Our waitress said yes, and was scolded by the head waitress, NO!) The staff was friendly, but understaffed, so it took a long time for orders. The room fridge is very loud, but the beds were extremely comfortable and the ac worked perfectly. There were however, big holes in the bedding. Our room key had to be reprogrammed once; frustrating when you have to use the restroom, and book it down to the front office to get a new one. Speaking of...the toilets and sinks are SO low. I feel bad for anyone with mobility issues. . I wouldn't consider this Inn wheelchair accessible, no way with the uneven ground, tree roots lifting up sidewalks and asphalt. There is something strangely charming about the place, being in operation since 1929 under a different name and turned 'Sagebrush Inn' in 1933. The sweeping curves of the architecture, beautifully carved vigas and corbels were impressive. Would I stay here again? If they made STANDARD repairs and improvements, maybe.

I particularly liked the decor in the lobby, lounge, and restaurant. We had a meal and cocktails in the lounge the first night. The tacos were very tasty and they were generous with the guacamole. Always a plus! I think the ''house margarita'' (not on the menu) was actually better than the Cadillac and it was priced quite a bit lower. We also had good breakfasts of Chilaquiles Rojos and Tres Leches French Toast on checkout day. The staff members everywhere in the hotel were very nice. I liked our stay well enough to know we'll return on another trip to Taos. And we liked the food well enough to eat there again even if we're not overnight guests.

The rooms are unique, individual and perfectly appointed. Isaiah works his magic in the kitchen and it shows in the food. Each day i wake up excited to see what he has made for breakfast. The downsides are their floor is dirty that it'll make your feet black if you walked barefoot so make sure to use their house slippers, their WiFi isn't that great, and they don't pick up the overflowing public trash around the property until I told them about it.

She asked if there was particular game we would like to watch and went to accomdate us. Took advantage of the wing special and had a brewski. Kellie kept checking on us, clearing the table and making sure we were enjoying our visit. Bruce the head chef came out and asked how we're they wings. Wings were smacking and finger lickin good. Kellie & Bruce are awesome and so are the beers/wings.

Richard had a letter attached to the wood frame entrance to our accommodations welcoming us to the property. He came right over to introduce himself, show us around the property, and even picked a few things from the garden for us to enjoy during our stay. We settled in and enjoyed the cheese, crackers, olives and snacks that he had on the table along with a bottle of wine that was delicious. The next morning, Richard was on our doorstep with warm pear and walnut scones that he made from the pear tree on the property. Our little cottage was perfect. Filled with local art work, bright colors and the textures of the Southwest. We had a lovely living room, dining area with a banquette, kitchen stocked with everything we needed. Upstairs was the bedroom and bathroom with a large deck off the bedroom and stunning views of the mountains surrounding Taos. Everything was spotlessly clean, warm, inviting and cozy. We relaxed, enjoyed and savored every moment we were here. I even used the little meditation hut next to the creek for my morning meditations. It was the most peaceful spot. In the refrigerator we found 6 fresh eggs that Richard had left from the chickens on the property. We thoroughly enjoyed them. Richard was friendly, kind, giving and the most gracious host and a wonderful innkeeper. If you ever find yourself traveling to Taos, you must stay.
