I recently purchased a model year 2014 vehicle "As Is" from this dealership for my young adult…read moredaughter in preparation for college. The Sales Manager, Mark Blumenthal, initially was very friendly and displayed great customer service. However, he made major errors on my credit application and Retail Installment Contract that had to be corrected later at my expense. The vehicle that I purchased had several mechanical (ie. The headlights of the vehicle were pointed directly at the ground to the point that the area directly in front of the vehicle was completely dark) and cosmetic issues that should have been discovered and corrected during the Virginia State Vehicle Inspection process in November 2024. I immediately informed Mark about the issues (except the headlights that I didn't discover until later). Mark seemed annoyed when I pointed the issues out to him. Mark stated that he would send the vehicle to his mechanic located "up the street" who would only address what Mark considered the "major issues" with the vehicle. Mark sent the vehicle to his mechanic a week later to fix the issues. However, Mark and the mechanic only addressed what they considered the "major" mechanical issues. After the vehicle was returned to me, some of the issues (like the check engine light and Airbag Sensor lights) returned. The vehicle was also not detailed initially. Mark did offer to have the vehicle detailed at a later date. I declined to have the vehicle detailed (due to time constraints) and will have it done at my own expense. Mark also seemed irritated and annoyed by the fact the I was so meticulous about this vehicle purchase. He maintained this demeanor even after I explained to him that I needed to be so meticulous because my teenaged, young adult, daughter needed a safe and reliable vehicle to operate. I decided to stop complaining to Mark, and accept the issues "As Is" as agreed upon in the Retail Installment Contract. I will have the issues corrected at my own expense so my daughter can have a safe and reliable vehicle to operate. I do not intend to purchase any more vehicles from Central 1 Auto Brokers.

Back last month we bought a suburban from Mark at central 1. It's a great car that needed some…read morework, so we went through the process of buying it. Not everything that Mark's "team" was supposed to do has been completed. Mark was very friendly in the beginning but in all honesty a bit shady because he wasn't transparent with us. He was adamant on telling us he's "philly", so we all know how they get when they called out on the lack of transparency. Now it's a few days before our temporary plates expire and Mark was responsible for submitting that paperwork to the DMV which he both FAILED to do and LIED to my husband about doing. We are now being charged an additional $399 that was included in our loan to Mark. Mark, I hope you read this and you do what's right. If not, that's between you and the Lord, and He doesn't play when His children are messed with.

Please do not purchase a car from these people. I am a college student at Old Dominion University…read moreand was rear ended in February of 2023. I do not have any family in the area and was tasked with purchasing a new vehicle after my accident. After looking for cars for a few weeks I got in contact with Manny at 757 Auto Outlet about a 2010 Volkswagen EOS on his lot, and shortly after I visited the shop to test drive the car. During the test drive I immediately noticed seemingly minor issues with the car: the overhead visor on the driver's side was damaged, the heat did not work, the glove box was missing a handle (it would not open), there was no windshield wiper fluid in the car, there was a spare key but no key fob (I had to manually open the car and when I did the car alarm would go off), and the backseat covers were extremely worn and cracked. I spoke with Manny about these issues and he fixed the overhead visor, and agreed to add the additional repairs including the heat and the glove box in our contract, but did refuse to have the backseat headrests replaced or a key fob programmed. I purchased the car for $7,000 the first week of June, and started experiencing issues with the car shortly after. I noticed the first issue with the car after filling it with windshield wiper fluid. There was a large hole in the wire preventing the liquid from spraying onto the windshield. Soon after repairing this error I noticed that my radiator had been filled with water rather than coolant, and that my oil had not been changed in what appeared to be a very long time. I contacted the shop, as well as Manny and his partner Tony individually multiple times about these issues in addition to setting up a date to repair the issues that they had legally taken responsibility for fixing and got no response. I paid to fix the new issues myself and to have a key fob programmed within the first week I purchased my car. The second week I began to experience difficulties switching gears and an ABS light appeared on my dash so I again, contacted Manny and his partner Tony multiple times to no avail. I called countless times and left voicemail after voicemail and nothing. My car continued to have problems and eventually stopped in the middle of an intersection on my way to work. After it was clear I was not going to get Manny or Tony on the phone I drove the car over to 757 Auto Outlet 3 separate times during their hours of operation and no one was there. It is now the fourth week of July. I took my car to the Volkswagen dealership about two weeks ago and they shared with me that the car would cost around $12,000 to repair. The issues with the car included: replacement transmission, brake pad & rotor replacements, wiper blade replacements, ignition switch replacement, upper radiator hose replacement, 4 replacement control arm bushings, an alignment with suspension repairs, and a flush kit & coolant replacement. The VOLKSWAGEN dealership offered me $300 for the car. In addition, I have still yet to receive my license plates, and was pulled over and given a ticket for driving with expired temporary plates. I have still been unable to get into contact with anyone at 757 Auto Outlet. Manny made it a point to express to me that I did not need to be weary of him as he was trustworthy and "not a sleazy car salesman", he went so far as to portray to me that he was doing me a favor by granting me a 90 day warranty on top of agreeing to fix my heat and glove box... He was aware that I was a college student who had only $7,000 to put towards a car with no family in the area. Manny is a sleazy car salesman who took complete advantage of me and sold me an unsafe car. This dealership is disgusting, they have no morals or regard for your safety or well being. Please do not make the same mistake I did, and please share this information with your friends and family.

I recently came here with my sister so she could buy a vehicle. We really enjoyed our sales guy…read moreRuddy. He was great to work with and made the experience very seamless. The only negative thing that I have to say about the experience is that I had asked when we sat down for the loan what percentage the rates started at. We were told they started at 5.25%. My sister has good credit so I wasn't expecting her payment to fall in a much higher percentage bucket. We were good with the price of the vehicle, and the warranty that she added on. However, and this is a big however, until we were signing the documents, did we see for the first time that the loan she was being given was at over 14% APR. This is absolutely ridiculous and unheard of for somebody who has good credit. We wasted no time going over to Navy Federal and securing her a proper loan at a reasonable rate. The amount that Carmax was trying to charge her in interest was more than half of what the vehicle cost with the add-ons. Let that sink in. Do not sign blindly and make sure you understand what you would be paying in interest. I highly recommend getting pre-approved elsewhere for a loan first and not using their financing. You have three days to get a loan elsewhere and have it changed over, but I would suggest making sure you're eligible before you go car broke. We didn't see any of that until half way through signing the contract. Kind of crazy!

WARNING! Do not buy a Tesla from CARMAX. They will tell you to buy an extended warranty and that…read morerepairs can be done there with authorized Tesla Parts. THAT IS A LIE. CARMAX does not do repairs on Tesla's, they will send you to the Tesla dealership on military highway. Once there, Tesla does not accept third-party warranties you will have to pay for all repairs out-of-pocket with a hope of reimbursement from Max Care. If they approve the reimbursement, it will take 3 to 4 weeks. It's been a cluster bomb. I hope to save someone a ton of trouble and Time.
