Wow..... we found a new spot to add into our steakhouse rotation! We had the 20oz bone in ribeye. It came out hot and dressed for the party! The steak was so flavorful came with a sauce that knocked it out of the park, citrus, garlic, herbs, onions, the total package in one little sauce cup. Asparagus was perfectly cooked, still crunchy with a little give. We also ordered oyster mushrooms which were a magical pairing! The mushrooms were tender, loaded with flavor and sautéed with perfectly caramelized onions. The potatoes are an absolute must have. They had a crispy exterior with a soft creamy inside and the sauces that came with them hit all these amazing savory perfectly salty flavor profiles. Every bite delivered different savory flavors with some of the bites bursting a spicy punch in the mouth that was unexpected but definitely welcome. Great meal from beginning to end. We will be back! This place, was nothing short, of spectacular. First I would like to shout out Sarah, our waitress and Robert, the owner. They honestly were some of the best service I've ever had and my wife and I can't wait to come back and that will be soon 1. How they achieve the level of flavorful, crispy, flaky, and a tad bit sweet... it makes no sense! The food was so damn good I almost tried the shrimp taco a but didn't have the room. I was willing to do it because everything was so good! Our drinks... I had a feeling when we were picking a place to go that the drinks were going to be killer here.... I was not only not wrong... Decided to come here for a celebratory dinner for two. The attendant greeted us at the from gate & our waiter, Joel, walked us to our seat. The dim lights set up a nice atmosphere. At first, the restaurant was pretty empty, but as time went on, it filled up pretty quickly. Joel was very professional in explaining the meals to us, as well as recommending drinks & starters. He came by often to ensure we were topped off on drinks & to offer his assistance however necessary. The whole team did well on serving us our food in a timely manner too. Finally writing this overdue review. We came in October and celebrated a bday. The ambiance was nice and pretty lively. The food was great, lot of fusion flavors. The drinks were even better. They surprised the bday girl with a yummy dessert. We had a few hiccups since they forgot 2 of the sides/apps but not a huge deal. The service was great otherwise. Apparently, they change dishes every few months or so, although most of the dishes we tried seem to have been in rotation for a long time. We ordered the meatballs, brussels sprouts, pasta, fish, oxtail, and a few other items. Nothing really stood out and the squid ink pasta was downright weird, while the burger was also dissatisfying. On top of that, the pricing is high and the service is lacking. We had a big party and still weren't attended to much. I decided to book a reservation here for my wife's birthday after looking for good dinner spots in Brea and was pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere is classy, but not snooty, service was great, our waitress was very friendly, and the food was incredible! I was a little hesitant because some reviews said that the food was just ok, but no we were genuinely blown away with our dishes! We shared the skirt steak, papas, and brussel sprouts. The steak was our favorite and tastes just as good as it looks. Perfectly cooked, juicy, but a little crispy on the outside plus seasoned extremely well with avocado on top all in a bed of a really flavorful tomato sauce and veggies. Brussel sprouts were an instant hit for me. Crispy and seasoned well with two great dipping sauces. Papas were our least favorite, but still good nonetheless. Our server even brought us their house made strawberry ice cream for my wife's birthday (which was also very light and refreshing)! Everything was so good it felt like we were just enjoying every bite. We'll definitely be back to try more items soon! Make sure you make reservations! The people who walked in before us didn't have reservations & they were told they couldn't be served. The couple next to us said they were first sent away too. So, they walked out, made a reservation on Yelp, walked back in, & got seated! For having such finely crafted seasonal food, I thought this place would be a bit hoighty toighty, but it was actually pretty rustic feeling, with a casual vibe. Sarahi greeted us quickly, asked if she could get something started, answered a few questions, & politely chit chatted with us. She told us that their menu is seasonal & described what was popular at the moment. The gnocchi carbonara was soft, with a rich, creamy sauce, yet the bacon atop was nice & crunchy. It was so delectable, I closed my eyes at first bite to really take it all in! The oxtail was so tender, it almost fell off the bone. It had a tangy, vinegary sauce that perfectly contrasted the deep, rich flavors of the meat. Having white rice with it is the obvious choice, so the plain rice can soak up all the savory sauce! The brussel sprouts were crispy on the outside and tender inside. They came with a mildly spicy sauce, similar to a buffalo sauce, & also sort of a homemade ranch sauce. The burrata was very FRESH and paired so well with the crostini & herbs. My husband enjoyed the IPA & I loved my non-alcoholic sparkling passion fruit lemonade! The building is an old theater, and inside has a dark, bar, casual sit down restaurant vibe, which was surprising given the price point on some of its dishes. With that said, the food was delicious! We got the ribeye, tagliatelle and burrata. The burrata starter was fresh, well balanced in terms of flavors and textures, and comes with some nicely toasted bread. The ribeye was cooked well and was of high quality. The tagliatelle needed some extra salt to be a 5/5, but was a deceptively large portion and had good elements. The staff was kind, but clearly overworked and busy. Our waitress had to take care of our section as well as another section that was behind a wall, which made it difficult for her to see all her tables. Great flavor & worth it for happy hour pricing. *Brussel sprouts [4/5] - cooked well with a zesty flavor & the buffalo & ranch sauces elevated it. *Oxtail [3.5/5] - tender, came off the bone, & good flavor but a little too salty for my tastes.
