Best Burgers in Town! I've been coming to this place ever since i was a kid. I always wanted to buy this place and remodel it but looks like someone beat me to it lol. The food was good, pretty much par for the course. However, NO ONE in the kitchen was wearing gloves! I counted 3 people making burgers barehanded. This is unacceptable in every regard. read more

We just moved to Irving and ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!!! The burgers (we get the double cheeseburger bacon added) and it is just like a home-made burger complete with toasted bun :-) = what joy! The fries are great and the same crispy perfection every time we come (consistant is a plus and they have it down to a science). No wonder it's like a revolving door with people coming and going ~ as the food is fantastic ~ no other words needed. Oh, the staff knows the menu like the back of their hand and are helpful and polite every time. Yes, the place is amusing if you dine-in but that's part of the charm in going to a place like this (free entertainment). I'll take this over a chain burger place any day!!! read more

Worst customer service I've experienced in a very long time. I've only been here 3 times, and only actually able to get food twice and both times my order was incorrect. The third time I went here I was forced to go through the drive thru, being told that there was no parking even as people are leaving. When I get to the drive through to pay they are unable to read my credit card. This is the only place I've ever had an issue with my card. The person at the window tried once said it would not read so I asked if she could just put the numbers I manually. After a large eye roll I think she tried, but said that the card was expired when on the card it clearly states that it doesn't expire for years. She went and got the "manager" who again, tried swiping the card a single time then told me in no uncertain terms that I had to go to my bank and threw(!) my card at me. I will NEVER be going back here and I will tell everyone I know not to give them their business either, not that it seems they want the business. read more

My wife wanted to try out the 'new place' they had built, and since it's been years since I've been anyway, we decided to try it out. To start, I have no beef with them, not at all, this is what I experienced. We came from the East from Loop 12, and driving West on Irving Blvd. we pulled into Griff's. Normally, one wouldn't give any thought to which way they drove in, but here, by car, it's not accessible (except by parking and walking in) to the Drive-Through, you have to go down some and get on East Second Avenue to get access to that. (They have a blockade railing fence that is placed so you can't drive up from Irving Blvd., which may be because of their limited space they have, but it's still really strange to see that) That was odd enough. We ordered our food, afterwards the girl said through the speaker, "Cash or Credit?". That was odd too. There is only one vehicle in front of us, and there were not that many cars there, although it was a week-end at Noon. We wait in line for our order, and wait, and wait... The car in front of us were not the problem, I don't think, but what that problem was, I don't know. We waited 12 minutes before we got to drive up, then had to wait about a minute & 1/2 more to get to pay. The girl gave us a clipboard and pen and waited the signature for the credit card, for around $8.00 worth of stuff, that was also very odd... The girl was not rude, but it appeared that she didn't care for her job, she was very robotic-like, I mean, she said the right things, but there was no real emotion to it. I've had that before, not a huge deal by itself. I asked the girl (very politely) why in this day and time we needed to sign our names for such a small order, nobody does that, it slows it all down, plus, it makes them look 'not so good' in comparison. She said it was the manager's idea, which is their prerogative, I guess. After that, I pulled over trying not to get out too far on Second St, (there is hardly any room at this entire place for cars) I check to see if they had the order correct, they did get it correct. When you add it all up, this place needed help from someone that knows how to run the place, something somewhere is wrong if you can't at least be consistent good, providing that they really are a good place 'normally', which I read in the reviews, which I can't say.. We went to a city park less then 2 minutes from there, I asked for a french fry as I was pulling out though, it was lifeless, skinny and cold, and no salt at all, they didn't add salt to the bag either. (I don't mind adding my own condiments, but they should ask you if you need them if they don't provide it on their food) I hoped the cheeseburgers were going to be different as far as flavor, but nope, I was really, REALLY disappointed in that, I had a double-meat, it was literally flavorless, it was warm enough, not hot though, it didn't compare to ANY cheeseburger that I can think of, from anyplace. (I gave a LOT of it to my dog, usually, I only give a smaller taste, but I really didn't care for it) Really blah tasting to me! My wife said hers was just, "O.K", but she got a small cheeseburger, which may have tasted different, I don't know. There was too much of the lettuce, it seemed to be tasting like it was the heart of Iceberg Lettuce, which is not a good thing. I will say this, the large Coke that we got was REALLY good, at least they did that right. Some places I know, most actually, they can't seem to get the soft drink syrup and carbonated water ratio down, but they have that down here, at least that time. No fast food place in the area that we go to has a good Coke like this, so that's a plus! Needless to say, I was not very enthused by any part of the experience, I will not go back, and my wife said there "Isn't enough reason to go back, we have other places to go if we want fast food"... I agree, you may see it differently, or have a completely different experience, hopefully that you will. :) My experience there doesn't constitute a worker's, or a restaurant's 'bad day' experience, in my thinking, it's way more than that, the problem is a LOT deeper than that. Usually, I only try and leave a GOOD review, I like spreading the word of a good experience, but if there is a reason to give the opposite, I don't care to really, but I felt it was needed this time, maybe a new manager is in order, or, do something. (I'm not one to leave many reviews anyway, only in certain cases, like this, it's not an interest or a hobby or anything) I may have been in The Twilight Zone, that would be the only reason I can think of for such a total bad experience. :) read more

I ordered their standard burger combo. I feel like they must have the same suppliers as Whataburger because both the fries and the burger were pretty much exactly what you would get at Whataburger, which is fine, but I think Griff's is more expensive. The service was good and I wouldn't mind stopping by if I'm in the area again, but I wouldn't go out of my way. read more

i just love this place. its a must to try it. with all these fast food burger shops opening up in dfw and charging $5 for a burger alone you will really save yourself some money and headache and go to Griffs. its better than that IN and OUT burger bs that everyone was freaking out about. and the 5 guys burgers is like $12-13 for a combo....and you get a half a sack of potatoes and a little burger. i love griffs even tho they could stand to be remodeled. the irving location is bad. dont go in the bathroom! but the food is fresh and good. i usually take my kids to eat and they love the happy 50s era music and the staff is cool. read more

My burger was soggy, sloppy and cold Fries have no flavor and were soggy as well. Also customer service needs improvement at this place.

Food is not bad, speed of service is terrible, and every time I go to Griff's something gets screwed up. Don't leave the drive through until you have checked and double checked because they screw up often and are very difficult to deal with after they make a mistake and want to fight you the whole way. read more

I must say since they have changed to the new building I am NOT impressed! The parking is still a mess, they no longer take over the phone to go orders & they wont allow two orders in the drive thru. I went in on 9/10/14 today and they had computers down not once did they reach out to the packed place for any kind of customer service and when finally everyone was upset waiting 45 minutes for their $5.00 hamburger went to ask where is my food some staff got rude with customers because of their internal issues. If not for me getting more than one order I would have walked out and told anyome walking in go next door to subway you would have been better off. Nnot a happy customer and will NOT go back read more
